>Meal in hand and I join the table proper and tune in to it's mood. Or rather tune into Demi carrying the whole thing. Olivia only really responds in grunts or one word replies and Liz seems busy the entire time, even if she does put her phone down to give the full attention once we get on the topic of her school duties.
>Turns out she runs the finances for a bunch of clubs and the student council. Keeps herself busy.
>She's in the throes of explaining her duties as it happens, "You would not believe how many forms there are for just something as simple as a small purchase for a clubroom. The headache I have to go through every time..." I notice she's pointed her head away from the group. I follow her gaze to see...
>"Hi, Mia." Liz addresses the parasaur...s?
>Oh, Ben's next to her.
>He speaks, "Alright, go ahead." He nudges her and she huffs, flicking her head to toss her hair before she speaks.
>"Didn't mean to crack that egg of yours. Sorry." Ben smiles and nods at me as Mia folds her arms, making sure we know this is not of her own volition.
>Ben speaks, "There, that wasn't so hard, yeah?"
>Mia rolls her eyes, "Yeah whatever. Text me later, Benny."
>And she's off. That was...odd.
>Ben shrugs, "Sorry about her. I see you're doing better today, Inco." I smile at him and give him a thumbs-up before speaking back.
>"Yup, thanks for the concern. So uh, you and Mia?" He sighs, putting a distant but happy gaze.
>"Yup. Strange, I get it. Anyway I actually need to borrow Liz if that's okay."
>Liz sighs and quickly starts gathering her things. She really wasn't kidding about her workload.
>Demi speaks up, "Talk to you later, Liz." Liz huffs and gives a quick wave before following Ben along. Demi sounds a bit down as she informs me.
>"She's deadset on being an art dealer. Already dipping her toes in." Ah.
