>Another walk through skin row. Hate having to do this but I live here. I keep my head on a swivel, hand on my knife in my pocket just in case. I will not be caught unaware. I'm almost all the way out, the couple of blocks stressful beyond belief. As I cross the threshold of what I consider safety I start to relax. Right until I hear a voice call out to me.
>"You, bald boy. Cmere." I turn to see a human and an ape-man. The human balding, smiling strangely, a mutton chop mustache. He's wearing a green overcoat, red tie and brown pants...He's missing a shoe. The ape-man cleaning a set of glasses with a handkerchief. He's wearing a brown leather jacket, driving gloves and a set of slacks. I consider booking it. They kind of look like cops, though. I guess I'm safe enough for a conversation.
>"Yeah?" I call back, not moving any closer.
>"You know anything about the murder?" I blink a few times? Are they talking about the guy that got stabbed a week ago?
>"The guy that got stabbed?"
>"Uh huh. Mind if we ask a few questions?" I sigh, they're cops all right.
>I step forward.
>The ape man speaks now, glasses back on his face. "I'm Kim Kitsuragi and this is my partner, we're detectives working on the stabbing case."
>The balding man speaks. "Can I get your name?"
>"Uh, Anon Y. Mous. And you are...?"
>For some reason the man pauses. He thinks a moment.
>"Raphael Ambrosius Cousteau" Good god that's long.
>"Okay... uh. Raphael. I don't know much just the guy was stabbed."
>The fellow nods at me. The ape-man seems to be taking notes. He continues.
>"Uh-huh please describe this stabbing, if you will"
>"I never saw it." What the hell kind of interrogation technique is this?
>"I mean stabbing's in general."
>"You... you mean when someone kills someone else with a knife?"
>"And a knife is...?" you're kidding
>"Detective." his partner speaks up
>"Right, right. So you haven't heard anything about it, then?"
