>"You must be Lucy, then." I hear the booming voice say to me. The very apeish woman speaks to me, her voice reminiscent of Spears.
>"Y-yes, ma'am' I put on my politest demeanor, looking over to Anon who gives me a nod and a smile.
>"You must be Mrs. Mous?" I ask her her, offering a quick handshake, my hand is crushed in hers. Whether intentional or not.
>"Oh yes, come on in you two. And call me Hannah" I flex my hand a few times before following Anon and his mother in.
>"PSEUD!" she roars out, much alike Spears. "Guests!"
>I recover from the stunning shout as a tall partial human-man walks out. He's built. Built beyond belief. It's almost like looking at a greek statue that had clothes thrown over it. I see exactly now where Anon got his stature from.
>He notices me and saunters over, taking merely a few steps before ending up in front of Anon and I. I note Anon has tensed up. From the stories I've heard Mr. Mous here isn't the most accepting person.
>"You're Lucy, then?" he asks, his voice cold and accusatory.
>I find my strength and answer "Yes, I am."
>We look each other up and down a moment, Anon starting to fully panic but I hold my ground I'll be here for him.
>"Alright, come on in then." he says, walking back to kitchen, I note the smell of frying meats. Anon probably let him know I'm a carni in advance.
>"So, you two are already engaged." Hannah says, her voice still loud and powerful.
>"Yeah, we decided on it before I graduated, actually." Anon says, taking some of the conversational heat off me.
>"So what do you do, Lucy?" Hannah asks as we all take seats at the kitchen table.
>"Music teacher. Public school with some private tutoring as a side gig." I state, filling with pride at my job.
>"Oh that's wonderful!" she says, excitement making her voice crank up. How Anon isn't somehow deaf I'll never know.
>We chat a while before dinner arrives, Anon's father bringing in several meat dishes and placing them in front of us. My mouth waters.
