>"Cmoooon dad." Cynthia impatiently speaks through my headphones as I struggle to derust. Been quite a while since I've touched any sort of mouse and keyboard game. I think I finally get a good set of bindings in, FOV turned all the way up and sens just where I want it.
>I unpause and look around. Blocky and free. I move my view around to spy Cynthia and her own block character impatiently hopping up and down. She's just a few rooms over and I can slightly hear her through the walls when she speaks up.
>"It's almost night, lets go!"
>I follow her lead. I've played before and done some pretty impressive builds but that was years ago, now.
>She walks us through the intro stages as if I was a newborn. I start to fully get into the groove. Like riding a bicycle. I start to feel the boomer shooter itch come on. I hesitate to get her into Quake or Doom, Stella would kill me.
>She goes to public shool I'm sure it's fine. I mentally file that for next time. We get a little starter house setup, her doing most of the building while I"m on gathering duty.
>I get a bit curious and multitask. Any of those incredibly complicated material farms still work?
>A quick gruugle later while I'm still chopping trees and I get an answer. Sure does. There's a few simpler ones, too. I go ahead and open up a diagram. Almost like building a circuit. I feel a sort of satisfaction from this. I quietly deposit my goods and sneak off, telling her I'm going mining.
>I meander right on over to a little village and get to building, moving everything into place for iron. A good thirty minutes later and everything is in it's place, took a few tries getting it there but I did it. I sit back and watch. Not but a bit later and I call Cynthia over.
>"Hey sunshine?"
>"Sup dad?"
>"Come over to the village a sec."
>"I thought you were mining?
>"Sorta." I watch the horizon as I see her bounding over.
>"Holy shi- shoot, what is this?"
>"It makes iron." I lead her to the collection area.
