>I glance over to Fang who's yawning. This pit in my stomach still refusing to lift. For the last day and a half she's been paler and borderline bedridden. I ask, yet again.
>"You sure you're feeling well?"
>"Dweeb I'm fine." Another stretch. She clearly isn't.
>"Dude you're like their mom. Just lay off." I grit my teeth at Trish dogpiling me here. I even look over to find Reed simply shrugging. Son of a bitch they're all just letting her suffer. Not on my watch.
>I end up heading to her house after school. Her dad doesn't show up until about an hour after she does so I have some one-on-one time with her mother. I hate to have to pull rank like this but to hell with it. I ring the doorbell.
>There Sam is, opening the door.
>"Oh, Anon! Lucy didn't tell me you were coming over." I notice even she herself is a bit paler than usual.
>"This is a bit of a surprise visit, sorry." I shrug and step in. I notice she's headed to the stairs and I stop her.
>"Actually I wanted to speak to you." Sam blinks a few times before leading me to the kitchen. She silently serves the both of us some tea as we take our seats on the stools.
>"So F- Lucy has been a bit sick the last few days and I'm super worried about her."
>"Oh?"
>"Yeah. She's been pale and low energy. At first I thought she'd be better in a day or two but we're coming up on day three now. I think you might even share it." I gesture to her arm.
>Her face goes from slightly worried to warmly happy.
>"Oh, dear. Come here a second." she gestures me over.
>I step close and she reaches down to her sickly looking skin and reaches down. Peeling off a scale. I recoil.
>"M-Miss Aaron!?"
>"Saurians sometimes shed scales in a large chunks. Happens every couple of years. She'll be better in a few days." I let loose a huge sigh.
>"So she'll be fine?"
