>He's really going to do this. Son of a bitch. I slam open the door to the roof, Trish and Reed in tow. There he is, fucking floating. An aura of light and even a halo. Palms splayed and looking content. Floating translucently behind him is a humanoid figure, cradling him.
>Trish is the first to yell. "Anon! Stop! You don't have to do this!" He slowly opens his eyes, pattern wild and slightly glowing. His pupils gone and replace with some symbol.
>His gaze sends my body into shock. Just his gaze sets off every single alarm in my head, all one word. Danger.
>His voice is calm. Too calm. He wears no worry.
>"Hello, everyone. Come to witness the birth of a new universe?" My stomach sinks. He really means to do it. He's not just changing something in the past. He's really going to redo everything.
>"Bro! We have to live with the past! With our mistakes! We wouldn't be people if we could just erase failures!" Reed tries his best but is talking to a wall.
>Trish decides enough is enough and fires herself at him, springing at him but is batted away by an invisible force. That strange power he's found making him untouchable. I watch in horror as he straightens out, his full form now on display.
>His body has changed. He's taller, stronger and much, much bigger. I watch in horror as his body shifts even more, two extra sets of arms unfolding and tearing through his shirt. As the seconds pass by he looks less and less human.
>He lays his logic upon us. "This stopped being personal a long time ago. I twist the arm of fate not for my own measure, but for everyone's. Listen and understand."
>He raises even higher. Reality starts to warp and bend, the sky seeming to find ways to the earth and the roof we're on stretching infinite. The world itself shakes as he talks.
