>Cool night sky. We do this almost weekly. Something I'd gotten roped into once and over the years really found myself enjoying it. Camping and enjoying the deep quiet of the night.
>I settle into the grass, waiting for my company, not but a few paces off. I go ahead and get comfortable, staring up into the twinkling stars
>"Daddy!"
>I smile as I hear the little pitter-patter of feet approaching. Clumsily stumbling along in a shirt about two size to big for her. I'm roughly tackled as my little sunshine dive-bombs into me, her mother not but a few paces behind.
>"Cynthia! Be gentle!"
>She can't hear her mother over the giggling and snuggling in. I pull up slightly to use my arms to settle her into my lap, facing up. We lean back as her little spines dig in slightly.
>Stella slowly slides in beside me as goes about her usual ploy. Star reading. It's comforting beyond belief to hear her.
>"Looking like a good few weeks, Anon. You wanna hear your horoscope?" I chuckle and let her
>"Absolutely."
>She bounds off about what my birthstars mean and how their dim glow tonight shines down on me, blessing my soul with ease and relaxation. Funny. I'm pretty sure the star doing that is currently stabbing me with her thagomizer as her tail tries to find a comfortable spot to tuck in.
>I pull her up on my chest slightly so she can settle. Finally still she lets out a huff, staring up
>A deep and soothing calmness strikes with a silent acceptance. The three of us just enjoying our time for the moment. Even the little ball of energy herself relaxes when we're out here.
>Stella entwines our hands as she speaks, loving and slow. "I can't even begin to tell you how much I love you, moonlight."
>I glance down to see Cynthia's already started to full sleep, the late night being a touch too much for her.
>I whisper back, "Took the words out of my mouth, starlight."
>We lay a while longer, the speckled sky above. The small sun laying on my chest, sleeping gently
