For the wolf I went for three tones on him; two shades of brown on the sides and back, and a light cream for the face and underbelly.  The fox I gave a deep orange for the coat, and a cool white for the underbelly for contrast.  I like how the two work together, with the large wolf being softer in shade and colour, and the fox being a bright and starkly contrasted palette.
