I’m making this post against my financial judgement, but out of respect for myself and you all, who have supported me so much over the years. The large issue here on this platform is that they’ve recently attempted to exercise a scary amount of financial and public control over me. Keeping this site as my main source of income is no longer an option for financial AND personal reasons.

Essentially, under the modern Terms of Service here, “slugbox” becomes a “project” that belongs to Patreon. Meaning they reserve the right to dictate where slugbox can operate, where slugbox can make money, and how can slugbox can make money, and then hold my success here as a hostage. If I make ANY income here, they own EVERYTHING I do elsewhere as well. Obviously this is designed to prevent competition from other platforms, where I am obviously also active. This is... really ugly...

As per the rules, I do not directly link my other projects and never have, but I will be moving the VAST majority of my support system to SubscribeStar, as well as an idea to run my OCs over on OnlyFans. Might take on some commissions to fill the gaps...

The fact I’ve never linked these sites from here wouldn’t matter anyway. There was a conflict with a service I used back in 2014. Six years ago. The service isn’t ACTIVE anymore. The link was HENTAIFOUNDRY, which I haven’t even used in... years and years...?? That’s not even this same site?? Last year they flagged Cteno, my own OC, as inappropriate because she doesn’t have any breasts. It’s why I haven’t drawn her as much here. That... that’s no way to live... I’ve been happy to bend my work to the needs of any singular platform to achieve success, but I cannot stand for a platform demanding 100% loyalty and control, especially in a creative field, and even more so in an adult content field.

I’m doubtful of this post. I feel like I have a gun to my head and can only say nice things. If they‘re stalking my abandoned HENTAIFOUNDRY, of course they’re reading this. The past few days have been rough because of this. I do not feel able to communicate with you guys, my supporters who I love, ANYWHERE, let alone here. It’s a very “They’re watching” feeling. But this is no way to live or be creative, especially in a field like this. I feel like I have to lie to you all, and I have been forced to be uninformative as a result.

But I‘m saying it anyway because you all deserve to know the truth, and if possible it’d be good if you guys went to SubscribeStar and got rewarded before the month ticks over.

In an encourage-to-move measure, I’m going to drastically cut the content released here for the next month or so, assuming they let me stay, and then likely suspend this “project.” I can’t afford to just CUT it suddenly yet... But this policy is not something I can in good faith encourage. SubscribeStar will run as it always has, and you should move there if you can. I’ll have some revamped tiers there too while I’m making the best of this situation.

I just didn’t want you guys to be charged another month without knowing what’s going on. Thank you for all of the support over the years! I couldn’t ask to work for better people than you all. 2020 is really bad huh?

I definitely feel this is part of a purge of the midrange adult content. The big names aren’t going to have trouble yet, and the smaller artists aren’t worth going after yet... but here in the middle...?

Pretty scared right now, abandoning all I’ve built is... a bad feeling... but it’s the right thing to do long term. And I want to be honest with you all about it. You deserve that.

Content rules change over the years and over time. This is normal. As happens, I've had a run in with my content becoming a little too, how shall we say, risqué for the current culture. That's normal, and it happens, and I'm happy to be both honest about it with you all and make changes for continued success.

SO BASICALLY TITTIES GOOD AND STAYING. PENETRATION NO LONGER.

AND THE VAST MAJORITY WASN'T PENETRATION ANYWAY SO IT'S NOT TOO BIG OF A CHANGE.

I don't want to change anything Tier wise in regards to QUALITY, but I definitely should take the chance to alter the CONTENT. That's good for us all.

The only tier that definitively offer explicit content is Tier 3. So I'm going to change that a little. Here's what I'm anticipating:

Tier 1 - This is the general support Tier, so that's not going to change.

Tier 2 - Will continue to offer pinups of of Fanart or OCs. No change.

Tier 3 - I am changing this to an additional pinup, but with higher quality, and always fanart. No more penetration.

Tier 4 - Will continue to be OCs by you all! No change!

Tier 5 - Will continue to be OC based, and the highest quality I can offer. Won't include penetration, but didn't always in the first place.

These changes should be visible shortly!

But the explicit stuff? I'm gonna have to drop that here. If you feel like you want out, that's okay! I thank you for the ride and your financial support. If you're new, I'M SO SORRY THIS IS HAPPENING NOW!!

The content I've removed from here I will release elsewhere, and then make amends to you all with extra content over the next month or so. I am sorry for the inconvenience and confusion. This is entirely on me for not being aware of changes, and wandering too far off course. And if the loss of the explicit stuff here is too much for you, that is okay! I am thankful for your support up to this point!!

After a lot of sketching I found a pose I liked with the three of her and a hot dog, but I ended up channeling some different coloring methods, upping the resolution a TON, and decided to throw in a nice bikini version, so in the end, it’s a little light on adult content but this is way more quality so... Last Tier 4 Girls this week!

Sorry it’s only the bare minimum three drawings this week. I usually shoot for four or five... Veterinary emergencies and a general difficulty in GENERAL LIFE has clogged up the schedule...

First off, I’ve cleared out a lot of old posts! I don’t like them piling up. Relax! Anything I cleared out has already had a public release. Any image board has probably picked those images up by now. And probably the unreleased stuff too but... I don’t get overheated about that.

Okay so every six months or so I reevaluate the process, offerings, and schedule here. As i (hopefully) learn more and am (hopefully) more capable, it’s important to make sure I’m producing at a productive AND comfortable rate both for my sake and the sake of my supporters. Which is you guys.

The question today is Original Content. Unlike this time last year, the vast majority of content I produce here is “original.” That’s either my OCs, your OCs, or guest OCs. The most popular BY FAR tiers as far as cash value is concerned are tiers that reward original content. And it’s fun! And cool. And good! At least, I like it.

I’ve especially come to enjoy Tier 4s drawings, which are simpler, but faster and more effective I feel. And I’ve experimented with bringing those over to other tiers on occasion.

Tiers 2 and 3 are the fanart tiers. One is pin up content, the other is more adult. I’m thinking or changing Tier 2 to a flexible offering. It would occasionally offer a finished Original Content pinup, instead of always fanart. I wouldn’t do any of my own OCs. Instead I’d do guest OCs from other artists or select from supporters. Remember, I HAVE to pick and curate. I cannot run a game of chance since that’s not allowed by law lol.

Tier 3 would remain the same as it is.

Is that something you guys are interested in or vehemently opposed to? I’m definitely LEANING TOWARDS IT, since it would ultimately offer more varied content. The fanart tier in general long ago became unable to appease the majority of users. That’s why we moved away from polls, since ultimately more people were LOSING than WINNING their polls. And that’s starting to happen again even with my curation. I think throwing in some OCs and guest OCs (which is kind of fanart still I guess?) would really vary things up.

Alright it’s been a rough... end of the year / start of the year. It generally hasn’t been a good week, and I took some much needed time to relax and get myself together. I don’t do this lightly, as y’all know I love to be on time and productive. But I needed it!

The only outstanding debt is Tier 2, which I could do tomorrow, but might take until Monday. We have company staying over in between their conventions, so the busy time isn’t stopping right away. But I just wanted to apologize in advance for the potential delay.

As you all know, there's been a lot of changes in Tiers and rewards lately. I think everything is for the better though. • 1. You get an additional message to notify you that there’s new content! You’ll still be notified by a bannered post as usual! That's this post you're reading right now.
• 2. Old posts don’t pile up forever with dead links!
• 3. I can have greater control over the content, since frankly we’ve had some google drive link sharing. That’s unavoidable, but where possible I’d like to make it a LITTLE more difficult for leakers.
• 4. It plays more into the practice that eventually things get publicly posted. New patrons are less likely to be confused as to why a post from MONTHS AND MONTHS ago no longer works.

This is also dependent, however, on you saving this content. SAVE THE CONTENT. Patreon isn’t meant to be a repository gallery. It’s for delivering new content on a steady basis, not keeping a huge backlog of old things, which end up public anyway.

SO! I’ll send this same message a few times with content updates until you all get used to it, and then keep it just the content. Which, remember to SAVE. Because in order to combat leaks just a little bit, that link will change in a week or two.

I was the deciding vote and I voted shoulder speakers.

Honestly polls are getting harder to "balance." Obviously a poll is all about popularity, and in the end the MOST popular choice SHOULD win. That's just... how it goes... but I don't want it to be a landslide victory / loss where possible. But it's PRETTY hard to make an "unpopular characters poll." It's even harder to make a "sort of popular characters" poll.

Still... I feel like polls are good. But more and more I see artists moving towards just curating content on their own from suggestions, ensuring a wider variety of characters, time periods, sources, etc etc etc... That's something I might have to move towards in the future, especially if it means I'll be doing a better job on each image. Not that I don't try my best now, but obviously you do better when you love the character.

So... yeah... I don't know... We're getting a little big for polls... And statistically, MOST people DON'T see their favorites win, since the four losers each week add up to more votes than the one winner. That alone is reason to give the polls a second look.

People clamor for /character/ for months but they'll NEVER see them because there's NO WAY they'll EVER win a poll, yet EVERYONE would still ENJOY seeing them ultimately. But the polls prevent that.

Obviously the tiers still stay the same and on the same schedule, but with ensured variety. And it's not just like the variety of chest or butt size. You gotta think time period, character theme, colors, cultural relevance, etc etc.

As an example, and I don't know if you guys ever thought about this, but the fact that EVERYONE is a LITTLE FURRY means that usually any furry will win a poll, against anyone. So I usually keep all the furries together. But that means that I have to be careful about including like a Renamon level character, because they'll crush all other furry options... So now I'm forced to find equally renowned furries. Or equally unknown ones. And that's just ONE factor. You see the problems here...

Right now? I could just end the current Tier 3 Poll early and start drawing. It JUST went live and it's CLEAR Stocking is going to win, despite my best efforts to find competition for her. So in that case, when will these other four characters ever see a chance? If the next time they go up against another fifth option who is in the same "tier" as them, they'll just lose again. Maybe it's because Stocking is "Goth." Maybe I should have had a goth poll. But now we're going further and further down a hole of impossible balance, when I could have just said we're gonna satisfy almost EVERYONE this week by drawing Stocking in the sailer outfit, with a glasses edit, and then some upbeat girl from some slice of life anime.

Picking manually is looking to be a fairer option more and more, especially as we grow!

The higher tiers have gone over really well with me just picking from EVERYONE'S suggestions, ensuring I can get a good variety of content levels and source material week to week, while balancing several requests for content into one image. I'm really thinking that's the BEST way to go in the future!

Alright this worked well last month for sure. Let’s do some ALC art, since she is just sitting out on the beach atm. She’s not a NSFW character, but I don’t mind her in tiny outfits. TINY. Outfits. ALRIGHTY! Just a text post, but I've cleaned up the tier descriptions and images a little. Just cleaner, you know?

I also added a new tier at $50 for those of you who really enjoy my work a lot and have the income to spend on it! The tier basically doubles up Tier 4. So that means two drawings a week overall. I've learned a lot about what I can and can't keep up with, and this is the best option so far!

It's a relatively expensive tier. Most tiers of that price are for models and cute girls, but there ARE people out there who are have some income to spread around and this is an option for them! Plus it's something I can realistically keep up with, unlike some of my loftier goals. Which I'll save for the future I guess. Plus there's no harm in OFFERING the tier, instead of capping my potential support at $20. If even four or five people pledge, that'd make up the time invested in the tier. Once a single person pledges or upgrades, I'll put the first poll up for it!

As the titles states, this is my ONE day off between conventions. AX and Otakon are done. However, I'm still making an appearance at the final Bronycon in downtown Baltimore this weekend. I won't have my full presentation, though I'll have everything that's still unsold with me! I also will be barely conscious, and VERY tired. But it's literally downtown. I can't pass up a small / mids / wildcard size attendance convention that's DOWN THE HIGHWAY. 10k isn't huge attendance, but it's worth going to given the close proximity.

But let me summarize what I still owe you all. The downside to running a weekly reward Patreon is that often I miss things due to insanely busy schedule. Yes, I could draw today. But no, it would not be good because I'm exhausted and still prepping a little.

• Four Request Streams, 3 hours each. Tier 1, at only 1 dollar, just fell by the wayside against convention preparation. It had to. SOMETHING had to give way in the schedule. In addition, Tier 1 will be heavily revamped this month.

Patreon is mostly on schedule. Tifa finished earlier this weekend. So there's nothing on my table right now. I'll launch the next poll sometime this COMING weekend while I'm in LA, and then finish it up when I get back midway through NEXT week. Putting me back on schedule. Until Otakon...

BUT I have some questions for you all! As you all know (maybe), due to convention prep, we did not do the Tier 1 request streams this month. I'll double up for the month of July.

However, since we've been doing these streams for a bit, and I've had time to play around and see the results, I want to state that they suck. I'm not being defeatist! The results are BAD! By the time I'm warmed up, the stream is over. I can't do them longer because I have other obligations. So by the end we've got a couple ugly drawings... and... that's not really... worth it?? They aren't even usually posted because frankly they aren't good sketches.

So I think I'm gonna change this tier up again maybe. Let me pitch this to you all: Instead of two three hour streams a month with "limited" quality and results, I'll keep an open OC link post each month, and draw one or two OCs a week, but FULLY LINED AND COLORED. Overall, the percentage of OCs drawn is NOT gonna really change, but there will be much better drawings since I don't have to rush to fit them into a three hour scheduled inflexible window.

So instead of crappy headshots and ugly doodles that could honestly be ANYONE's anime/furry OC, there will be nicer colored pieces that I can work on between other jobs and things.

They only real loss here would be the "entertainment" of me being miserable on stream for six hours a month. And it's not like I couldn't stream these anyway. So... this isn't really a loss.

Alright so I'll be vending three cons this summer.

Anime Expo is massive and VERY soon.

Otakon is big and pretty soon.

Bronycon is small and kinda weird, but it's literally down the road so if I have the chance to go, I do. And it's not for a while. I'm also not really prepping for it, but will be there vending things that didn't sell during AX and Otakon.

But with AX rapidly approaching, I wanted to be very forward and honest about the schedule, which may get a little crazy. I RARELY miss my weekly deadlines here. But I'm asking everyone to be a little a flexible during the weeks between Anime Expo and Otakon. I'll be on both coasts in a short amount of time, and I'm still scrambling to get things ready in time.

The things that are most likely to get pushed around are the $1 Tier request streams. The two for this month, June, may get rolled into July. I don't want them to, but it's very likely. I'm hoping that weekly polls won't get disrupted much. Luckily and I can usually double up and turn poll winners into prints, so that helps. But during the week of AX, I'm going to play it by ear. Worst case? Poll rolls back a week or two and you get double polls one week.

I still also have the TIer 4 things to work on, but that's coming along. I'm just REALLY a little stretched out right now, so I wanted to let you guys know that I won't forget anything or skip anything. At worst, polls may skip a week and double up the next week, While the request streams may roll into next month, doubling up in July.

Went a little back to some tone stuff. SORT of happy? I think I am. It's also super high resolution. In fact, I left these at the print resolution for you guys so you could see. It was a little experimental. Tried a few things, mostly with lines. I though a relaxed sketchy look would save time and look effective but I didn't end up feeling it. Maybe I should have stuck to cel tones.

I think I'll come back to it and some other things later this month tho to touch things up for cons. I'm in the home stretch, and thank you all for being patient.

I've hesitated running this poll since I think I know who is gonna win... Especially since I always leave multivote on. And polls with clear winners are something I TRY to avoid. But at the same time, popular characters are how you make money. And I mean... if they're popular then MOST of you will be happy. Tried two different things this week. MOST importantly, I just some WAY thicker than usual lines. Second, I used flats instead of a lot of tones.

I think ultimately it's a WAY better look for me lately, but I also don't want people to feel like they're being cheated because it's theoretically "less work" than fully blending and painting a drawing. I do want to stick with this path, since I think not only is it better looking, but once I get a better hang of it I'll be able to draw MORE than I do now. And I'm already fairly productive!

OKAY! This was the first one of these so let's review.

Three hours is a good chunk of time. I don't think any longer would really yield any more results. However, still, "only" four requests were done. Not only that, but I obviously take some time to hit my stride. Each drawing looks better than the last. This isn't really AVOIDABLE I guess though? Even if I "warmed up" before hand, I would still want to draw SOMEONE's OC at least. SOMEONE is gonna end up with the "first draw." And even then, three hours is long enough for me.

Still, I initially felt a little bad, and still do. But I also need to remind myself, and WAS reminded by my fellow streamers, that that's enough. OVERrewarding the lowest tier was what got me into a schedule issue in the first place. And even if I did TEN TIMES as many drawings, I still wouldn't even be SCRATCHING the surface of the overall requests submitted. I basically matched Rabbu's pace too, and I'm WAY out of practice on these kinds of streams. I shouldn't overshoot. I CAN'T AFFORD to overshoot.

So... I'm going to call it a success still. I need to remind myself that this is a little cheap entry bonus! Not a fully illustrated super tier that always delivers content of the highest quality I can deliver. Plus the stream was fun, and I think that has value too.

Guess who's on schedule! ME! But just barely... With con prep, lingering commissions, some social obligations, and a few other things going on, I'm right on time. But I like some wiggle room in my daily and weekly life and I don't really have that at the moment, so I'm little uncomfortable.

I'm gonna follow my personal tastes more in regards to proportions and stuff... It comes out better not trying to force tall girls when it's just not what I'm about or you're here for. Cute. Hentai. Girls.

Alright. Let's talk! I really don't like entities and companies and artists changing policies without explanation, so I'm gonna do my best to be totally transparent, honest, and explanatory!

Tier 1 is not lucrative. It's just not. It has the most patrons, yes. It has a little less than 50% of you. But it's easily the LEAST lucrative overall. Keep in mind, the other Tiers are worth up to TWENTY times more per patron than Tier 1. In addition, times have changed. Most Patreons? Content starts at $5. Mine it starts at $1. That's not a big difference in the money in your pocket, but overall? Hundreds of people? 500 is a lot bigger than 100. I need to be financially aware of this and I am. Frankly, I'm undercharging. I hate that word because it implies I'm raising prices just to raise prices. But I really need to change things up.

It's a weekly obligation that I could do without. I'm short on time. I want to explore new projects and jfc i WANT TO HAVE TIME FOR MY OCs AGAIN! Success is good! I'm happy for it! THANKFUL FOR IT. But it's important to re-evaluate that success and how I can grow.

So here's what's going to happen. The weekly poll? It's going away. In it's place, Tier 1 will now offer access to bimonthly Request Streams. These will offer fanarts AND original characters. YOUR characters. The streams will each be at least three hours long each. I'll likely take the requests from posts here on Patreon where everyone can link their OCs ahead of time and during the stream. THIS MEANS YOU WILL NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO FOR YOUR OC TO GET DRAWN.

I want to keep them freeform, because one thing I've made the mistake of in the past is rigidly promising things that turn out not to be conducive to schedules, my mental well being, or my paltry creativity. BUT I have finally figured out how to offer requests. It's only a dollar which gives me flexibility, but will ultimately offer more drawings monthly than the current polls do. That's more content.

Having this extra free time weekly means I'll be freed up to make the other tiers better, and most importantly, draw my OCs, doodles, and other things free. Remember when I would take requests on twitter? Get THREE drawings done? That was nice. I don't do that anymore though, do I? It takes a day of waiting for the poll to finish, and then it must be finished to a very specific standard. And then it has to be hoarded here for a few weeks.

Little things like that are why the Tier is changing. I want and frankly NEED to get back to being able to explore my options and time. And changing this up is one simple way to give me just a little more time each week and month. So... That's what's going on. Ultimately I think this is a boon in overall content available at the Tier. Tt's different, but frankly, I can't afford to operate the same way forever. Things change! And in order to keep offering everyone better and better content, I need to change things up sometimes.

Sooo.... That's what's changing! It's changing RIGHT NOW. Next month is May, and the tiers are going to change up as soon as I post this. So... yeah. If you don't agree with these changes, I'm sorry. Really. I don't think it's a BAD change. A single dollar isn't a lot, and at that low amount, I'd take doodled quantity and doodled variety over a single colored image... The only downside I can think of is that your OC might not be chosen. That being said, the odds before this change were zero sooooo... Yeah. Plus everyone has been clamoring for request streams, and this is the only Tier cheap enough I feel comfortable offering something so freeform.

But I know I can't make EVERYONE 100% satisfied when changing things up. So I hope you guys stick around!

TLDR: Weekly $1 Tier Poll is gone. Now it's Bimonthly Request streams for your OCs. All other Tiers unaffected.

Okay so as I was just talking about on twitter. Tier 1 polls are hard. Statistically there are more supporters here than any other tier. But it’s also the LEAST financially valuable tier overall. So I don’t have a lot financially at stake by “disappointing“ people with choices. But I also personally like you all so... I don‘t want to pick things everyone doesn’t know. I want your favorite to win. Even though that’s not how a poll, by definition, works/ And I like to keep the poll results close if possible... so it’s always hard to pick options...

But I’m accepting that ultimately, this is the Tier where it’s okay not to please EVERY SINGLE PERSON EVERY SINGLE TIME. So I’m gonna move it more towards themes like they’ve been lately, for example, here’s girls from this specific show or game or whatever, even if they aren’t all balanced popularity wise. It also means I’ll get to personally relax a little by having more of a choice in what it is, even if it’s something less popular. Since realistically, I should have the most popular characters who can win against any show or content duke it out at higher tiers. And we can have more specific fun at this level without worrying about it being all the popular waifus. That’s just... being realistic and practical you know? gaahhhh

Alright soooo as we've discussed in streams, there's now a Tier 4! It focuses on my OCs and guest OCs, and is two drawings a month, just like Tier 2 and 3.

It's as graphic as the character will allow, so for example, if it's Vomi, it would be anything goes. But if it was Rae or ALC, it might be more reserved. But it'll be as far as I can go! It'll also have guest OCs on occasion. Rather than voting on characters, you can vote on the theme of the drawing.

At $20, it's a sort of pricey tier. I'm not a hot cosplayer or anything. But anyone willing to pledge to this tier MUST be a fan of me, so I feel comfortable offering my OCs for this one. It's not always going to be as crazy as Tier 3 (it will sometimes tho), but the point is really to find a way I can also fit my own characters into my schedule more, while rewarding people who can support me.

Since it's OCs, I also don't think people will feel like they are missing out on their favorite fanart waifus or anything if they can't drop the cash on this tier. But I know there's a market, and I love my OCs and want to afford the time it takes to draw them more and reward people at the same time, and keep you guys all involved in the process. So this is what I've come up with!

Tier Four is something I’ve been thinking about for a while.

Most artists who do this kind of work have way more tiers than myself, but the actual content (like causally getting to SEE the titties) usually starts at around five or ten dollars. So I am already “behind” by offering a one dollar option. I think the benefits of productivity and publicity far outweigh that potential loss though. I get to post advertisements, multiple versions, etc on a WEEKLY basis. So I get a lot of people joining up over that. And a lot of people pick the five dollar option anyway.

But yeah. What could I offer? I’m hesitant to add to my workload until I’ve proven to myself I can keep pace. Which I have. So I’m COMFORTABLE with that, but a little lost on what to offer. Comics are the most obvious choice. However. I KNOW how long they take, and they are NOT fun. Nor are they good for posting. People don’t like to share them.

So the only way to make back some of that pain and publicity loss would be if I could also make the comic about my own OCs or guest OCs from other artists. That’s at least brand building! I’d love to do OCs from patrons, but you guys have to understand that I could never fairly reward everyone. Nor are “random raffles or picks” allowed on Patreon. And limiting tiers would be pointless. I might as well just open commissions then. And the whole point of Patreon is that I don’t HAVE to take commissions.

After some careful thought though, $15 Tier isn’t enough of a bump from ten. That would just hurt my ability to “catch up” to where most adult illustrators areas with their own tiers. So it’s gotta be a 20. But I don’t think that’d be too much of an issue. There’s really not a HUGE jump in benefits, but at this point i’d just be benefitting from FANS of my OCs with a little extra cash, while also building more of a presence of my characters. It’d very much be a “hey you have spending cash, and you might feel generous towards an artist you like. There isn’t a HUGE bump in rewards at this tier, but it’d help a lot to build more than just fanart.“

Frankly, it’d help me keep all the Ctenophorae updates more consistent. Losing tumblr through my schedule out wack.

But I could also simply promise two more pictures a month at $20, one from the five and ten dollar content levels each, but with my own girls or other artists’ occasionally. If I felt like doing a small comic I could do that too. That’s the most flexible and open ended option. And probably the most likely.

So yeah. Just wanted to give you guys my thoughts and a heads up!

TLDR cant responsibly add anymore fanart to my schedule so Tier 4 will relate to my OCs but anyone willing to pledge that amount of money for them would have to be a big fan ANYWAY IN THE FIRST PLACE so it’s not like I‘m gonna disappoint on the content

This Week
There will be a poll for the Standard Single Dollar Tier going up soon after I post this. I'll bust that out this weekend, and be technically caught up on the weekly pinups! Since it's the start of the month, it'll be a poll of prior entrants who didn't win their polls.

There will ALSO be a poll in a bit for the Five Dollar Tentacle Tier Drawing. You'll have to be in that tier to vote in that poll AND get access to the file. That's a monthly drawing, so I want to do a better job with it. The poll for that will be a little bigger and run a little longer. I think I'll revisit older polls and things for that too. Alright everyone! Still in the home stretch for Metrocon in Tampa. We’re far from home, and drawing something nice for the weekly poll isn’t the BEST idea when I’m sitting at a cramped hotel desk. And when you‘re really tired.

So! Albedo will be midway through the week. And a poll for the tentacles and pinup will both go live then too. It’ll be a busy catch up week, and then Otakon in Washington DC the week after. RedRabbu will be staying with us during the time, so i’ll have lots of time to draw during movie marathons.

ANYWAY thank you for being patient everyone!! Conventions can heck up your schedule a lot. Metrocon hasn’t been QUITE as profitable as I had hoped, but we still came out positive. And I’m happy to have extra stock for Otakon, a convention I’m way more familiar with. And it’s much easier to get to since we drive.

THIS WEEK'S POLL THEME IS... I DON'T KNOW!

Why don't I know? Because I haven't regularly watched anime in about ten years and when you guys start yelling all these names, frankly, I can not discern 90% of them.

But that's okay! Because today's poll? I have no idea who any of these characters are. Nor have I googled them. They're characters requested a few times by multiple people but I don't know them.

Some of the SHOWS I know of, but they're shows with like 9138102381092831 girls so I have no idea which of them they are. If they're even any I know.

Trade off? I have no idea if this poll is relatively fair. It might not be. To that end, I encourage everyone to maybe "give your second fav a chance." I'm also going to allow Multivote. You can vote for ALL of them or NONE of them or SOME of them. This is really a way to encourage that the LEAST popular loses, not that the MOST popular wins. Because... well... I have no idea what this poll is about. But human pop culture knowledge is finite. So let the best girl win. I hope they're all girls.

First off, I'm doing some cleaning up! I'm going to be using google drive instead of Patreon to distribute stuff. It's just easier. I can keep it all in one place and do updates easier, sync it, etc etc etc.

Also, to that end, I'll be deleting old posts after I post this just to keep things clear and simple. I'll continue to relink that folder from now on, with each post too. That starts next month, but you can upgrade your pledge now if you want. I'll get that folder live at that time.

Just to clear that Tier up, you get everything like usual, all tiers down, but people with 5 bucks a month get to vote on a monthly tentacle piece in addition to the weekly polls, and they'll get access to it a month ahead of time. Still a small amount, so I don't think I'll be forced to cater just to a few rich people. Which is my greatest Patreon fear. But still. Gotta make money! And $5 is a 500% increase over $1. That's awesome. And I have bills.

Alright, since a small but vocal group have expressed desire for their... well... let's just say PAST THEIR PRIME WAIFUS. But as polls are literally a popularity contest by nature, and their can only be one winner, and as everyone generally has a single dollar stake and I'm gonna obviously cater towards... uh... SUCCESS... they just don't usually have the strongest chance until they pass into ETERNAL TIER WAIFUDOM. Like Rei or Misty.

So this week is a classics week of sorts. Generally 2000s. Can't put Lum or Faye in here because they'd wreck. So would Chi. But still, that's relative, and I do my best. This was initially a commissioned piece, but I upgraded it to print resolution (and looking way nicer than usual) for the client in exchange for rights to the image. And I'm sending him free prints of it.

Man the past few weeks have been hectic. Taxes and a financial goof notwithstanding, Stringmouse also started a new job this month. It's a good job! and things are good. But even then, it makes things busy. Supporting each other is an important job in and of itself, and one I'm trying to be better at. I gotta be a better house husband.

BUT! Back on track. The pink hair dye (manic panic brand because heck yeah) is due to start in an hour or two. I'll be putting progress up on twitter as it goes. A lot of it is just waiting around with goo on your head soooo... I guess I'll play Monster Hunter during.

While Request Streams are still happening and going well, I've also started taking dailyish request on twitter whenever I have a sort of open day. I've included some of those in this post. So keep an eye out there for those posts. It's usually one fanart and one OC taken from the replies. Honestly? It's easier than streaming. I've accepted that Request Streams don't always yield good, or even postable, results. That's fine, and accepting that has helped me feel better about them. But still, I like to get nice drawings out. So while twitter requests aren't as numerous, they're way nicer. AND IN COLOR.

Okay String is out of the shower so it's time to blonde myself first, and then pink. Nice. Sources files are over here on Google Drive since it was easier to just compress them this time! I'm also just gonna say how appreciative I am to have a very relaxed and general Patreon. This reward has been SEMI-reached for a while, but every month I LOSE pledges at the end of the month since... well... that's what people do. I usually gain and lose about a hundred dollars in total each month. I am not upset about that! It's something predictable since I don't have the Pay-Up-Front feature yet. This one was more a doodle that reached coloring but it still came out nice.

So no more. Unfortunately, a FEW bad apples have been using the good faith of these source files to simply repost and re-upload the art, despite warnings to the contrary. At best, people hit Hue/Saturate on the layers, count that as "edits," and then repost.

Most of the time, it's not even really for profit, since these people don't expect anyone to actually buy their auction. They just get to upload nice lineart that they didn't make. Which is, well, just reposting... Sooooo nope...

This doesn't affect the vast majority of you, nor will it affect what is uploaded here, or the regularity of request streams and fanarts and all that.

So those of you enjoying the source files as learning and reference material can continue to do that. And those of you just tipping me because your nice, obviously you can keep doing that. The people just reposting my work flat out should probably go? And in the future, I mean, I'm gonna ENJOY taking action against these people on the sites it happens on. Publicly and hilariously. Let's do an update though! On life, which does have an impact on my work and schedule.

It's been CRAZY. Not always good lately, but always for the best. Things have been busy to say the least. Sorry I haven't been on the up and up with new material. Commissions do have to take a priority though. However, I've learned that I'm better off spacing commissions all early in the week, in one chunk. That way I have a few days to myself to plan and work on larger projects. Right now I just get a day in between, which is nice, but I end up not wanting to engage in multi-day drawings. So that'll change next commission round.

I also realized that I listed THREE PAGES as the reward for patreon adult comics. I meant to do TWO. I'm not going to change it yet, although I'll probably stick to a two page comic and a one page comic with separate content. Just for variety's sake. I'll also make up the two missing pages from November and October for you guys as an additional two page. Probably with Isabelle?

This is neat one. BUT! Before you download the source file, I must tell you all that THIS source file is only available in .clip. Which it Clip Studio Paint's (briefly known as Manga Studio in the west) format.

This is because the way certain layer modes behave in Clip is VERY different than how they behave in Photoshop. And with the amount of effects in this drawing, It was stupid to convert it to .psd and have it look really bad and weird. Even though .psd is a nice, almost universal format, I'd like to be able to provide some LEGIT source files with ALL the effects.

Anyway, I'd buy Clip studio if you don't have it. At full price it's worth way more than it costs, and it's ON SALE RIGHT NOW. I won't make a big sales pitch though. But get it.

• Well, it was a mess.I am still learning a lot about that structure and the layers were a fucking mess.
• When going from clip studio to photoshop, a lot of layer effects and styles behave differently. And in PS, it was not a pretty picture. If I could, I'd just upload .clips to here only. But there's still a lot of people who use .psds, and it IS somewhat of a universal format.

So yeah. The source file is attached if you want to study it. On a secondary note, while EVERYONE is welcome to straight up trace these files, and certainly welcome to use them as references, bases, etc etc. PLEASE DON'T ONLY TRACE AND REFERENCE ME. You won't come up with your own style and look like that. You'll just look like an (even) worse version of me. Or worse, you'll look like a BETTER version of me. And the second people get tired of your stolen foundation, you'll have a LOT more to lose.

Taking from others is important. It helps. It's normal and GOOD. But you have to take a lot from a lot of people to define yourself. You can't take only from one source of reference!

Sorry it's a week late. Between commissions I wanted to fill the udpate with a few more drawings. Especially since commissions aren't included in these posts. Although I'm thinking on giving commissioners a little discount if they let me distribute the source files here maybe? Maybe. I dunno. Thoughts for the future.

But anyway, it didn't matter making it a week late because I ended up doing more drawings than I usually do anyway? Sooooo yeah... I was worried for nothing!

All the source files for everything I drew this month, aside from commissions, are attached as usual. I also have to update a lot of the Patreon signage and details since a $1 minimum is now required for NSFW Patreons. But that's okayyyyyyy. I liked being able to say 100% free, but $1 minimum still isn't bad!

Sorry it's late, first off. Life got a little complicated with commissions and some other thigns here and there. Nothing major! But you know how little things pile up and throw everything out of wack.

I obviously don't include commission source files with these packs, and since I've been doing so many lately (and even more coming up), I've filled this with some pretty recent stuff too to help flesh it out.

As for changes, due to some newish Patreon regulations, all posts are going to become Patron only posts. That doesn't mean you can't access the files, nor does it mean you have to actually pledge to me! But you're going to have to actually have an account to access them. So nothing major really! You still don't have to pledge and everything is free.

SECOND OFF! There will be a LIVE REQUEST STREAM ON THE 1st 3PMEST, since last month we hit the 500 and you are rewarded for it THIS month. But on the 1st. Because I'm swamped! I'll post the rules for it tomorrow. It will be heavily moderated and a lot of stream bans will potentially be handed out. It'd be bad if got... really crazy... The last time I did a live request stream I ended up with well over 500 attendees, all screaming. Let's try to have a civil and sane stream!

THIRD, I've come to see some problems as the Patreon has grown. Growth is good. But once again I'm not able to make as many people happy as a I could for a similar amount of effort.

• When it was just a few people it was fairly likely that your request would get drawn at some point. At this point, there's simply too many requests. You'll never see your day in the sun.
• Doing a full scale completed piece doesn't always work out. It takes a long time vs a colored sketch, and in the end, it is no more or less likely to be well received by or popular with the community.
• I'm old. I don't even recognize a lot of these requests! I barely keep up with what anime is on TV, if at all. Usually not at all. The last anime I watched was Kill la Kill which is now THREE YEARS OLD. So trying to research all of these is time consuming and usually pointless since only two characters can win a vote.

SO! Starting next week I'm going to rearrange the tiers in an effort to make more people happy. I'll simply do five requests of my choosing over the course of the month. That's more than double what you'd normally get. It also lets me vary the choices a little more than ALWAYS the most popular thing. And it lets me avoid having to end-of-month rush. I can space out nice and easy.

Sorry I'm pushing the like... LAST day of the month. It's been a really stressful messy month with all kinds of health stuff... bleehhhh.... Let's hope for better in March!

I try really hard to balance out the polls so that everyone

has a fighting chance. I know that a poll, by nature, is a popularity

contest. But I think it's good for everyone to be on sort of even

ground. Someone is going to win, but hopefully it isn't too much of a

landslide. So i try and pick things from the suggestions that are close

in popularity and fandom, and I think I got a really good spread this

time.

Cynthiapulled ahead by the largest spread, but it wasn't even 10%. And there

was only a 4% spread between second and last. In hindsight, I probably

could have included Rosalina to balance out the Nintendo presence. I

didn't include her because I thought that might drastically divide the

Nintendo fans, meaning the two of them would have finished in last, even

though combined they'd be first. Cynthia is WAY less popular here in

the states than she is overseas. She's not as SUPER popular overall.

People be sharing close ups of Rosalina's lips way too often.

But a divide assumes all Cynthia fans are also Rosalina fans. I feel

like a lot of Cynthia fans would also lean towards Cammy and Fionne

based on waifu look and game preference. And Rosalina fans would overlap

with Kaguya under the hipster platformer look. Maybe.

Butyeah. It's complicated. Peach wasn't included because it would have just

been complete massacre. I get that it's popularity but I am proud that

this was a pretty close race overall, plus I only get to pick from

everyone's suggestions too.

I HAVE REVAMPED [PATREON] FOR THE BETTER!

Doing Patreon for a few months helped me two important few things. And I've revamped it with this knowledge.

- It's possible to half-ass a free-to-all Patreon, but it'll work way better if you focus on the fanart. Which is what it now does! Patreon isn't my focus for income, but I'd like it to still be successful. To that end, I've changed the entire thing to reward you all with fanarts chosen by you!!

- I'll update Ctenophorae no matter what. I just do. I love it and my OCs. So I just end up updating it way more than any funding would declare. It's a long term investment I care a lot about. And if I'm going to update it a lot regardless of funding, I should focus on funding elsewhere. So Ctenophorae updates WON'T slow down due to this change.

As before, it's a free-to-all Patreon. I'm broke, so are many of you. I don't think exclusivity to paying users helps all that much. Mostly because it's 2016 and all that exclusive art is going to end up on E621 and Danbooru ANYWAY. It just does. I have no interest in fighting that losing battle. I'd rather people spread my work around anyway! So this Patreon depends solely on your GENEROSITY. If you have some dollars, I'd appreciate one of them! And I'll draw for you guys in return! Nothing held back.

I've priced tiers like the "big" cteno updates prior, and in line with my occasional commissions. $200 tiers. It halves after 600 though! Patreon already stands at $434.97. So that's two. It's come to my attention that... well... I end doing full color Cteno updates regardless of funding. More than I even need to as dictated by the support levels. I just do it anyway! So why fund it here? I guess?

In light of this, how would you all feel about moving most, if not all, of the tiers towards fanarts and pinups, as voted and suggested by you guys? It wouldn't affect Ctenophorae updates. I just think it would be more funding for me, more stuff for you guys, and more successful Patreon in general.

End of year, so here's all of December's sources that haven't gone live. AND SOME EXTRAS! I plan to revamp Patreon (for the better) next month. It'll still stay free to all though, so don't stress about that! But if I'm going to work overtime on the comics and do more than I need to, I should set it up more that way!

Here's some "info" about the polls and what gets chosen from suggestions though.

Normally I stick with five. Why not ten? I mean ten seems more fair right? Maybe. But while polls naturally favor the more popular choice, it's nice to try and pick a popularity BALANCE if possible. With ten, the more popular picks come out super far ahead. More than usual. This is because all of the "less popular" picks are more spread out, while the more known choices don't lose much.

Why isn't Renamon in this poll? Why isn't Palutena in this poll? They were in earlier ones. Well, just for these two, you've got a massive support group of furry/kemono who would all go for Renamon, and a massive Nintendo support group who would back Palutena. Which is a FAIR FIGHT. AND A FAIR VOTE. But you throw Aisha Clan Clan and Ramlethal in that poll and they'll be massacred. It's not even close to an even voting pool. And with TWO polls running each month now, I can afford to try and "group" voting pools based on popularity closer together. This means I can run a "HEY SUPER POPULAR CHARACTERS VS EACH OTHER" and a "HEY REMEMBER THESE CLASSICS?!" too. Which is ultimately more for everyone, while still being honest that, hey, the popular vote wins. Because it's a poll. But your options are closer together. It's a closer fight.

You added Squigly but not Minette (for example). Why not add them both? Well okay, I like Skullgirls (for example) too. But let's say that either would be representative of and appealing to Skullgirls fans. But if I add them both, you can bet that neither will have a good chance. Why? Because all the Skullgirls votes will be divided between the two. Meaning neither will come out ahead. It's basically assuring that both will win. Adding Felicia AND Morrigan? That'd do the same thing.

SO AND SO SHOULDN'T HAVE WON. THEY'RE JUST POPULAR. It's a poll. It literally runs based on popular and majority vote. I can't help that. All I can do is ATTEMPT to balance the choices. But in the end, I mean dude people love what's hot this month.

Once again I've gone overboard on the color comic updates... So much so, that I'm going to be making some changes to Patreon rewards in order to encourage more of them. Since I'm enjoying them and everyone else is as well, and since I'm more apt to just doodle whenever, I'll be getting rid of the sketch updates option, and turning it into another Full Color Comic. Which is just better. Better quality, better story, better everything.

I'm a pretty trusting person. I'm also understanding of the way the world works. Yes, you can vote more than once on the polls. It's possible. It's not normal though. People have been well behaved thus far. I've seen attempts at manipulation, but nothing successful. However, it's become PRETTY APPARENT that a nasty few people are abusing the system this time.

Normally this isn't a problem. It would take some VERY angry and VERY dedicated people to cause a major upstart. See, you get to see the timeline for voting. And when certain options spike in the hundred suddenly over an hour. Well, something is amiss. And considering that I'm generous enough to allow public voting, well... Anyone can throw this thing awry. But up until now this hasn't been an issue. Usually people are honest. And we are all understanding that, hey, this IS a popularity contest in a lot of ways. And I'm here to make some money, so I MUST follow the majority's decisions. Still, I MUST ensure that everyone has the same opportunities to vote. Fairly.

I love Seaport Hime, but a staggering thousand+ votes suddenly is frankly not normal. And a sudden 500 for Rao is clearly not normal. Nor a sudden 600+ for Marceline. Not that Marceline was not a forerunner. But clearly a few people are very interested in fixing these numbers.

SO... for now, I'm going to have to disqualify Seaport. Even though I love her too. A sudden 1000+ votes is insane. And I think you'll all agree with me on her disqualification in this case.I'm also going to have to discount the suspicious 500+ for Rao. Marceline was already winning despite a crazy 600 votes in one hour. These arose suddenly along with Seaport. So Marceline is the winner on this one.

Since some people this time have royally fucked up the poll, in the future, polls will be conducted elsewhere. PROBABLY DIRECTLY IN THE STREAM. You still won't have to be a supporter to vote or participate though. This is in order to ensure honest behavior. This hasn't been a problem in polls up until this point. But it's unfair to give a very angry single person control over this situation. I'm not satisfied doing that. I think you'll all agree with me on this as the best and most fair solution.

Since we made 500 in support, that means two fanarts a month. But that won't apply until next month!! I'll get an additional one done regardless anyway though. Probably decided through an in-stream poll.

And in the future, well, there will no longer be long term public voting. Voting will be done either on Deviantart (requiring a DA account...) for a few days, or done very suddenly in the stream itself.

ALRIGHTY. Last month I overkill'd on the color comic updates. But that's okay! I mean doing MORE than I need to is better than just normal amount, right? I've attached sources to this update for those!

Sorry things have been wonky lately, with less streams and all. Last week was a week from hell where literally everything that COULD have went wrong, DID go wrong. Things went so wrong that even our rental car broke down.

And I got conjunctivitis! NEAT!

But anyway... most of that is getting cleared up... life goes on...

Anyway, attached are the source files for the pinup update (Doki and ALC) and the Cteno daki too, just because here, have it. Obviously the daki file isn't large enough to actually print a daki with by any means, but it's still good for learnin'!

There's a clean version, but honestly I don't like it, so here's a crop that I DO like. Full versions i up on tumblr. Stocking won the vote, and I was thinking about doing a Malon edit, but honestly I feel like Malon deserves her own drawing. So I'll get on that separately.

But maybe I'll do a color edit for the runner up.

Alright, getting back into the swing of stuff. As you can see over on Ctenophore, some of the sketch updates and the first full color update went live. Or at least were linked if if ended up a little spicy. The source file will be posted for that on my art blog later too!

But, in order to save you all from nine disparate posts with varying source files, I've compiled the entire Pon Set from this summer into one conveniant file. Though I won't post about it on DA until tomorrow.

In other news, since I'm getting back into the swing of stuff, I might readjust the reward levels. Nothing already gotten will change, but I thought it might be smart to do the rewards based on my monthly bills and expenses. Loans, Insurance, Electricity and such.

Alright, hey everyone! First off, thanks for being patient with slow updates. Luckily, I got all of my rewards for July done in June. Which included the Cookie Dough Full Color Update 1 and the Nellko / Sergei Full Color. I also did more than the required amount of stream sketch updates. But doing all of this back in June might make it seem like I'm slacking this month, so I apologize.

I've been really busy prepping for the Pony Convention next weekend. I'm hardly a Brony Bro Bro, but I do think they're cute. And more to the point, the convention is downtown and I have the privilege to vend with Raikissu and Co. So I'm pretty excited. That also explains all of the pony stuff lately. If you're not a fan, I apologize. If you are, then you're having fun. If you don't really care either way, then please enjoy the continued source files.

AFTER the con I'll be able to focus back on Patreon and Ctenophorae more. I'll also probably be using Patreon to reward/sell the Ctenophorae Daki mk II. Which there is a sketch for on the tumblr blog!

We're not to the 300 mark, but I'm gonna share this source for you guys anyway. The second full color cteno update went live too, although it's linked from Ctenophorae to Slugboxcreatureart. I'll share that source file later tonight on Creatureart since I can't do it here.

Ahead of schedule even. I'm not supposed to do these until next month, but a boost is nice. The source file is here, but it's kinda messy. Mostly because my comic source files are ALWAYS messy. At the end it's a rush to fix so many little things, you just start making new layers everywhere. But they're at least grouped!

I think the rewards apply to the NEXT month, but I don't see any harm in getting started. I also have to more ask updates to do, and a second full color. So I'll be splitting the full colors up between something tame and cute and something more fanservicey. Sound good?

Alright, the first post is a new little swimsuit pack. Pretty normal stuff. The pack is also available on AwfulSlugMonster on a one time-pay-what-you-want offer.
