Im so sorry for not having done this sooner and been more transparent. These past months Ive been my usual annoyingly sickly self. Inspired when im ill and not wanting to do anything, and unmotivated when im feeling okay.

Ill keep posting stuff im doing, but I just want to take a bit of a load off while im trying to get myself (and my gut) back on track. Im one of those people who really enjoys their food and well, while im wondering if Ive developed some intolerance and have no appetite, it very quickly brings down my usually pretty cheery disposition :p I wanna eat and feel okay about it! Please stomach-

As a few of you might know, im currently in bed with a nice mixture of flu and hayfever. I really wanted to pause patreon this month in order to catch up from confuzzled when I was back.

But me being stupid, missed the deadline yesterday to shut off the payment, therefore Ill stop patreon for the month of july-august, and depending on how things are, possibly august-sept aswell.

Wip of bowser I was doing on stream, but for once actually took stages of him!

Anyhow my thinking:

1. General layout and cooler shadow tones, ready to warm up later. Soft and gradienty. Flat values defined more

2. Linear Lighting in a lighting scheme. New layer so I can fiddle with the shapes until im kinda happy.

3. Starting to bring in cooler skylight. Contrasting cold and warm tones. Mixture of flat painting in greyer tones and using soft light/overlay gradients to give a bit more of a shift.

4. Generally working into what I have. Reduced the light brightness and started working in highlights. Am considering brightening the light again later in balancing, but easier to work on without the contrast atm.

Just wanting to give a bit of info into my lack of activity and be a little more transparent. These last weeks Ive been in the pits of art block. Struggling to find reason to draw and when I do, producing stuff that doesnt come anywhere near to what im forcing on myself and expecting to pump out. Ive let myself sit and dwell and do the 'it will come back' approach, but realistically I need to get drawing and I need to just get through this slump.

So.

Streaming. Im gonna do my best to get myself back on stream, putting time into making digital pixels move about and likely shaming myself for the world to see :D And wanting you guys, who are amazing for everything you do to support me, to have imput. Throw suggestions or ideas. Interesting characters. Even just 'Draw more butts!' is even enough. Ill do my best to deliver <3

And ill do my best to make a fool of myself on stream :p and get results posted up. I'll try to keep remembering it wont be by best, and keep the art train chuggin x

Sorry I let several of you know and ive just realized that theres a couple I missed. Basically, I didnt intend patreon to charge for december, I was planning on pausing and having everything return properly on january as the new year. So instead what ill do is keep patreon paused for january so that it wont charge and will arrange the sessions as I originally planned starting in 2018.

Hope you all have an awesome xmas and to any I havent wished, a very happy 2018, lets make it a great one! x

So what im saying is- I cant thank enough for the people who stick around when I myself dont think im worth it x (without sounding too self pitying!) and the support you guys give is invaluable in itself, through comments, shares and maybe a few loads spent :D

Right, as a few people have kinda slipped from schedules but are still part of this, Ive started to be a muddle of timezones, schedules and who has/hasnt had their session. For that reason, Ive paused my patreon for a month so we can get back on good schedule and be ready for october :3 Anyone who wants a session as usual, who is currently up to date, feel free to contact and we'll arrange one as normal, but through private means.

Right, people who I need to hear from: Nebula, Kailys and gilg (-who I have a penciled in time with though).

Heya everyone! Need to say a huge thanks for all the continued support as ever, I cant say that enough.

But otherwise you might be wondering where Ive vanished or why I havent been uploading anything- I had the pleasure of going to a couple london meets the last week where I was hoping in all best intentions to draw but that never happened. Anyhow, I buggered my back and am still hunched over and struggling to get about. That combined with having not drawn has put me in a bad spot~

Kinda liking those softy ones!

1 rough block, get most saturated tones down, generally working from bg to foreground.

2 blocking in darker tones, getting the top right lighting in which frames the main figure

3 working in the blacks, feels very frazetta in these areas- working from dark to light seems to help

4 main face work- lassoing the edges of the lip/nose/eye to make hard edges while working with a soft round brush with some texture on it. Calling it there 90 min, colours main focus :3

Hottt day in the uk, little studies done and some beach dog progress. Will hopefully do mroe tomorrow- Meantime, sketchy sketch. More fabric needed
