Some of you may have unfortunately seen one of the numerous CP threads that spam bots make here, all of which are deleted and IP logged as soon as it is seen. However, I must ask that you do NOT post in the thread, this will only bump it right back up to the top and force even more viewers to discover it, which is always a bad thing. So if you find a thread with illegal content (CP) or content that is against site rules (scat, gore, etc), just follow these simple steps:

1. Click report
2. Click hide
3. Get on with life

Replying to a bad thread just to proclaim your disgust of the content, the lazy mods, or the world is just dumb. Help us keep this place clean for all of our filthy smut.

I bet lots of people report it. cant the server remove a thread automatically from the board if 4-5 people report it as cp? at least until it can be reviewed by a mod? leaving it in view is exactly what the pedos want, long enough for the pedos to see, too short for the authorities to act.

We could enforce the ability of janitors...it would help with the site while making sure they do not go crazy with power. I feel if we can get people that have been around on the site and have contributed or if any of the mods feel they know someone who is up for the spot let me know and we can start something up.

lurked for years while contributing when able, but not a namefag. awwwdamnit.png

but how many would it take to make the pedos ragequit because its not worth the trouble

I think it would be better to have an automated withhold from board(or at least make the pic and its thunbnail undownloadable)after 4 reports until a trusted mod could check it.

but im not a coder so i dont know how hard that would be to implement :/

I check a few boards on a (usually) nightly basis. But its almost always lurking. Usually check flash, fc, and mlp. Occasionally others. Depends on how much free time I've got.

I like this place, so if you are considering taking on new janitors, I can offer a bit of time now and then. But I am also a no-name lurker. So y'know. Whatevs.

Well the nice thing is that Janitors (for those who don't know how these work) can delete posts that are not within board topic or something that is not allowed on the site period. They are not allowed to ban but can report someone or a particular IP just like everyone else to help inform the mods, Bart, or me; and view the report in question.

If you two are interested catch me when I am on IRC. I will try to get on it more often so you can catch me.

I find it amusing that the furry demographic is so composed of a percentage of absolute fucktards that you can't choose a mod without worrying about them going 'power crazy' over an imageboard. A fucking imageboard. God, how do furries survive in the real world?

Either way. More janitors would be so, so awesome. I've reported CP threads and just seen a 'thread already reported' message. And still seen it there hours later. Mebbe because I'm an aussie and check this place at (comparatively) random times.

Wouldn't you have to worry about janitors deleting posts they don't approve with, though?

And an automated system of reported threads being removed is open to social engineering.

Methinks you should just hire janitors from weird times zones. Europe, perhaps?

Bots can file reports too you know.

So far as I see it spam on paws boards is not a problem. The user base is smart enough to ignore the commercial bots, and agenda shrills, but the again I usually frequent /c/

the spammers have backed off recently. They usually post to one or two boards every 2-3 days. It barely gets a single report on it before it's deleted now.
