You're joking, right? Numerous threads have been cleaned over the course of this site's life by more people than just Cyberhorn; even Bart himself has done it.

And since you claim to have been around the site for a while, remember Sniff? Remember who outright banned him? It was Bart.

And if you, yourself, would stop being a dick in a lot of threads, such as for instance, the cub threads, then your comments probably wouldn't be deleted. I hate cub porn myself, but I'm not telling people to go kill themselves over it. Just hide the thread and move on.

I don't think Cyberhorn has ever really been a dick. You, on the other hand? Just look at the way you speak to other users on this site. You are, hands down, a complete asshole. I'm pretty sure you at one point even admitted that.

i know numerous threads have been "cleaned", that is what i am bitching about. i've ignored it long enough, it's getting more aggressive lately and this is how i have always felt about it. i tried to keep it to myself out of respect for the site but that same respect now leads me to speak up about it. again. if you've been paying attention long enough you'll know this isn't the first time i went on a huge rant about freedom of expression. it's also not the first time i got banned by a moderator for saying to their face that i think they are doing a poor job.

when bart banned someone that person really earned it. he wasn't sitting on the site every day deleting everything that didn't fit his worldview.

one time he was posting about buying a suit and i said to his face that spending money on a suit is stupid. did he delete what i said? did he ban me? no, he just said that he disagreed. see? He posted what he thought, i posted what i thought. that's the way it should be

see, when i see something i don't like, i do exactly what you say. i ignore it. except sometimes i don't and i say what i think. so what if i think pedophiles should kill themselves? i'll say it if i want to. and then those pedophiles will say "no, you" and post pedo art to spite me, and we'll all have a grand old time together despite our differences. can't you see that?

you misunderstand. i'm not calling him a dick because he speaks to people rudely, he seems very nice actually. i'm calling him a dick because i am mad at him.

like i said, despite his good intentions he is overstepping his bounds. a moderator should protect the users from spam and worthless ads and attacks from outside and leave the users alone to fill the site with content, whatever content they choose.

if people don't like what i say, they can insult me or ignore me or do whatever they like. but one person taking their delete powers and using it to whitewash the site into the version they would like to see is wrong.

i understand that you only want to help and you believe you are doing the right thing. i have zero problem with you personally and i appreciate the time you spend trying to help the site, but i'm hoping you can see that deleting posts does not help the site.

it is really not fair to delete things just because some people don't like it. i don't like cub art, will you delete all the cub threads? i don't like ponies, will you delete all the ponies? i don't like porn of women, will you delete /f/?

some people don't like flame wars, trolling and drama. some people do. we are all wonderful and different and we should be allowed to coexist. that's the point i'm trying to make. if somebody doesn't like something they should do the adult thing and ignore it or say they don't like it.

deleting old posts doesn't make things much easier. scrolling past something you don't want to read to get to the part that you do want to read is a minor inconvenience at worst. who cares if flame wars break out in the middle of threads? if people don't like flame wars they can ignore them.

your mistake is assuming that all people want is the images. maybe some people do, but not all. personally i could care less about 95% of the images, i come here to be a jerk to people and post the best of the pictures i get elsewhere and laugh at funny posts.

what happens in between the images is the real fun of imageboards.

oh and since i didn't directly respond to that part, of course people who spam up the site trying to push threads off the board should be dealt with. like i said before, moderators should protect the users from outside attacks, but otherwise they should leave the discussions alone. regardless of where they happen or what is said. that is what i believe to be true and right.

i don't even know what else to say, you haven't responded to a single thing i've said. did you read any of this? do you understand the point i'm trying to make, do you agree, do you disagree? why? can we at least talk this over before you continue removing the best parts of old threads and deleting stuff that was only posted a few days ago?

well, thanks for reading this wall of text. i hope in the future when you're mopping up you'll remember that one person's mess is another person's treasure.

I only feel like things should be deleted if it violates one of our rules. I'm not really for thread cleaning unless it is being archived, and even then it usually isn't the best to remove such things out of nowhere on the site. Especially any conversations that can be taken place that are pretty odd to read when you remove just a couple of posts to "make people happy".

Cyberhorn does a great job don't get me wrong he's doing what I asked him too. It's just maybe cut down on the thread cleaning...especially in the threads that are really popular.

C49191 is a new moderator who's helping me with some site stuff cause I'm really busy all the time since I moved to Dallas. Please do not cause me drama I don't need to deal with.

yea i was pretty mad about my shit getting deleted. getting mad worked though, all the people who used to fuck with me are gone and now I'm able to protect the site from shitheads.
