We updated to a new software. None of the settings could be transfered over so it all had to be redone. Mods from the previous version of paws need to contact bart to get re-registered.

I could offer my assistance as a mod. I usually lurk on the site once or twice a day. Also you could invoke what m00t did on 4chan to where certain and irrelevant posts that were banned or whatnot were "saved" so that they couldn't be posted again...Or you could do a /b/ like general discussion but then it would be too much like 4chan XD. Just some suggestions

I would be more than willing to help clean the spam and offer my services to keep the site in better shape. I remember how great it was to come here a couple years ago and find some rare gems that no other site had. Now, I see constant bitching, not enough content between posts, and lots of trolls.

Just putting myself out there as well if you need extra hands and eyes.

I'd be willing to help out as a mod, too. I have experience dealing with assholes. (I'm a mod on another site)

The "derailed" threads in /fc/ are usually more entertaining than the comic itself. Not sure if we should fight with that.

Understandable. Things is, it happens often outside of /fc/ too. Most people doing multiple bumps in a single day for an update that isn't going happen because said site hasn't updated yet either. People just posting in a thread to start a flame war and try forcing their opinions on others.

I just don't enjoy sifting through all of it to get to actual content on the site when there could possibly be a board to complain on or I could be cleaning up the muck, if you deemed it necessary. Might deter away some of them from derailing other threads if there were a bitch/complain board, but nothing is guaranteed.

Theres a solution though, what my mods have been doing before. Delete the thread, once it reaches 200-300 posts, make a new one and repost all the comic pages up to date. So the shit starts again.

As for the trolls and flame... this is just an ANONYMOUS IMAGEBOARD being what it is. It is supposed to be that way.
