The "towers" are magical devices that can utilize soulshards as ammo.
Soulshards are dropped by killed enemies and there are 7 types of those.
7 types or 7 elements are the 7 deathly sins:
ira, gula, superbia, ascedia, luxuria, invidia, avaritia
ira - damage and splash
gula - more soulshards per kill
superbia - high criticals
when you build a tower first you chose the foundation - which means focus on one of this seven elements
so there are 7 tower designs
designing towers as icons for each sin wont work, since focus only means 5% bonus to the said aspect
whent the tower is built player can spend soulshard points to power it up
he can spend only IRA shards and then get a lot of damage, if the foundation has IRA focus he will
get the benefit, if the foundation is of different focus then no bonus is applied
player can put up to for different soulshard points into one tower, getting a uniqe combined effect
I dont want each tower to have a unique design, they should all have a similar design, the same core maybe
I think playing with geometry would do best.
the setting is - medieval fantasy world, versus demon
art I will need:
- featureless background ~700x500
- enough terrain details to build different looking maps
trees, rocks, cracks on the ground etc etc
- road tiles 30x30 to build a path
- human fortifications: simple tower, fort, castle (60x60, 100x100 120x120 or something like that)
- demon base, inferno stronghold or somwething, rising from a chasm with lava maybe
- demon "towers", magical devices described above 30x30 pixels
EVERYTHING IS TOP-DOWN VIEW, NOT ISOMETRIC
