Not looking to start up an age-old argument, so I'm only going to post once in this topic.

First off, I've been on-and-off following these guys for a year or two now. I think I've seen every permutation of arguments for and against them, but honestly the arguments against them far outweigh the arguments for them. To sum it up as brief as I can:

Avalon/Avian have complained every little step of the way, made excuses for any delays, begged for donations, and has never met any deadlines that they've spoken of.

Secondly, people are bitching more about the fact these guys are lazy pricks who accept donations, but don't bother to meet deadlines and, when they do put out work, the effort put forth into the "finished" product doesn't even begin to match the amount of time allotted.

Take a look at the following games and their creators:

Mane6 - MLP:Fighting is Magic
Fenoxo - Corruption of Champions
pokehidden - MLP:FiM Dating sim
Gabe Logan - Legend of Queen Opala
Nuku/Valente - Flexible Survival
(Creator?) - Slave Maker 3
Zone-tan - Any Zone loop/movie/game

These guys and gals either have found a way to put out updates almost on a weekly schedule, admitted that what they are working on are side projects, or have met their deadlines with minor hiccups. In other words, these games will come out when they come out.

Avalon/Avian, however, are more comparable to PlayShapes or Crowchild. PlayShapes I don't think ever put out a finished project (although, to be fair, I'm not sure if he actually asked for any donations for anything to be completed) and Crowchild spends all his time bitching for donations, threatening to shut down the high tail hall server if fans don't keep donating for the very few copy-pasted character design and animation he's put out sporadically...only to delete them a few months later because he redesigned the entire game's layout again.

Take a major game like Resident Evil, Halo, Call of Duty, or Assassin's Creed, what would the fans think about the creators if the game developers said "Because of trolls, it'll be finished when it's finished." Especially, if the game developers already took pre-orders, promised a deadline and never delivered it when it was scheduled?

If they weren't getting payed for a product that they have barely even have completed, then I think people would be a lot more lenient on them. So, if you want to blame anyone for the trolls bitching about Avalon/Avian, then go blame Avalon/Avian themselves for how they handle their work.

All you have to do is load the game up save it. Babysitting Cream is a lousy game IMO, but I don't see any point in the moral panic around it. For most of the players, the events depicted are just a harmless fantasy. For those few who would actually like to re-enact this game with little Suzy next door, they have some serious issues even without this game.

Aval0nX lets everyone know that he isn't paying attention to the people calling him on his bullshit anymore, just like he's done on three separate occasions now. Also he didn't actually "promise" an "update" to the game on the 25th because the way he "defines" the term "update" depends on what your definition of the word "is" is. Or something.

Its funny that literally all the drama hew harbors as an artist is because of his own faults. If he simply let shit slide and didnt give a fuck and stopped bringing up shit, it would eventually stop. On top of that, he just keeps coming back with challenging people to come at him in a live chat, but really hes not worth the time since he has to continue to make bullshit excuses.

Bringing up definitions of the word "update"? Seriously? The world "update" in these situations is implied "to bring up to date" rather than "informing" fans of the current situations.

I find it funny that he continues to challenge everyone to come at him, knowing no one could beat him in an argument. Since hes the only one who really knows whats going on, he can easily manipulate every situation to turn it in his favor because hes the artist. Although I'm pretty sure Avalon knows that a large amount of the shit said about him is true since he continues to hide behind his inkbunny loyalists who promote his incessant behavior, since, you know, Avalon "cant" be wrong because hes the artist.

Why oh why is this game still relevant? The only thing good about this game is the idea. The writing/pictures are horrible. It's like an illiterate 5 year old wrote it. Let the game die, quit worrying about an update, and quit worrying about Aval0nX. Damn, it's like you guys have nothing better to do then argue about a game that will never be finished.
