You can keep your shitty JPEG scanned watermarked faded images. There's nothing blurry about it unless your monitor is low res or can't display the full range of an HDR pic.

I don't care about file size when it comes to quality, the more the better. I believe in maximizing the potential of an image within the limitations given. Those limitations just happen to be 3MB for this site, 16 bit PNG, or 8 bit if I have to use JPEG, and the original quality, shading, and color range of the image. I only remove noise while preserving detail using Imagenomic Noiseware Professional, and I upres images using Alien Skin Blow Up. HDR brings out the maximum color range in any image, putting darks and lights at their true level and toning the image accordingly.

This is not a post processing effect. You lose more important detail saving anything as a JPEG. I can always give the source to the images I post.

the data was already removed you can't get it back. besides jpeg removes data that doesn't really change how things look. that's the whole point. used correctly the drop in quality is negligible, in that one example the 96kb one looks great.

even then you can't restore what was lost. the biggest apparent effect is the drastic difference in contrast from the hdr. so other than distorting the artists' choice in color you're adding back a bunch of junk data and doing another round of lossy compression, further distorting the image from the original, then you're saving it in a giant file and making barty pay to sit on it and send it all over the world

saying that a hdr filter sets all the colors to their 'true' level is pretty amazing too

Last I heard, a number of Scandinavian and other European countries do as well.

Check the news once in a while, not only has Google brought Gigabit internet to a few US cities for relatively cheap, $70 per month, but even the FCC wants to bring gigabit to the entire country within 2-3 years. It is literally right around the corner as I said. Change may be slow, but technology seems to have a different curve altogether.

I photoshoped it using third party filters Alien skin blow up to upres the file without reducing clarity, imagenomic noiseware to remove any visible noise, and corrected the color using the standard filters auto color, auto tone, white balance, and then HDR toning to correct the colors to perceptually realistic level, and edited the document in 16bit color.
