Surrounded by concrete, at the bottom of a narrow cylinder,
their legs chained to the bottom, in the dark, the grey cat
was shaking with fear.
From the top of the cylinder, liquid from a pipe above
slowly leaked onto the cat's head. It was not water.

The pipe flowed into the cylinder in a configuration
like this:

The cat struggled lightly;
their tears mixing into the urine
trickling from above before it pooled on the floor.
They felt sick knowing what would come next.

They sat in silence, shaking and crying, bracing for
something to come down from above,
feeling so, so close to vomiting.
It was quiet and lonely in there; apart from the
occasional trickle and constant crying, there was nothing.

Suddenly, liquid, filthy shit fell down, splattering
perfectly over the cat's body. All at once,
the cat began to wail, and out of their
stomach came a cascade of puke, covering themself
even more in filth. Their crying was uncontrollable,
and it was so loud that the echoing hurt their ears.

And again, a fat log of shit fell from above,
landing directly on their head before falling into the
very shallow, but growing pool that the cat was stuck
sitting in. A few seconds later another one followed.

And they could only sit and sob as the puddle of
piss and shit began slowly to rise. Filth covered
more and more of their body, until their grey fur
was entirely covered by a foul-smelling layer of brown.
Their eyes began to sting and a terrible taste
remained permanently in their mouth.

Hours and hours continued to pass. Time was impossible
to judge in this chamber, but the cat had managed, somehow,
to sleep. When they woke up, the puddle had grown significantly;
the chains binding their legs in place were well under'water'.

Worse still, they were *hungry*. They could already
taste drops of shit in their mouth, and even just the thought
of intentionally consuming the filth around them
was enough to send them into a sobbing loop for hours,
let alone the realisation that if they didn't,
they would probably starve to death in a deep, dark hole
covered in poop.

They tried to ignore their hunger, but as the hours went by
their body began to yearn harder and harder for sustenance.
Their stomach growled and growled and growled, and the cat
struggled, desperately tried to ignore it.

They were so distracted by their hunger that they hadn't
realised how high the filth pool had gotten. Their legs
were now submerged, and their chest was already about
half-underfilth.

They tried to sleep for hours. The thirst and the hunger
and the suffering were refusing to let them. The filth pool's
level continued to rise. This was the only way.

In a moment of tired weakness and desperation, they fished
around in the pool, grabbing something thick and long.
Their gag reflex activated as they brought the thick, wet
log of shit up to their mouth. They slowly pushed the log
into their mouth, chewing the shit into pieces and
*barely* managing to swallow it all down. Tears streaming down
their shit-covered face, still so hungry and thirsty,
they leaned slightly over and lapped up terrible piss and
diarrhoea until their thirst dissipated. They shovelled down
two more massive shitlogs and passed out, overwhelmed.

When they woke up they knew they were going to drown.
The filth liquid had reached their face and within a few
hours would submerge them completely. They were hungry again.
They could feel the level rise as piss and shit dropped from
above. They were going to die today.

The filth rose above their mouth, and they had to look upward.
Piss dripped into their mouth, but at this point they
barely noticed. They were going to die today, and they were
going to die drowning in piss and shit, at the bottom of an
oubliette, underneath a public toilet, covered entirely in
diarrhoea, surrounded by the worst stench imaginable.

And soon, even their face, looking directly up, could not
stay above the liquid. Gasping, they took in their final
breath, and went under. Their mind filled with raw,
unfiltered, complete fear. Panicking, they splashed around,
using the last of their air, desperately trying to resurface.

They began to convulse, swallowing the filth around them.
Their thoughts blurred. They convulsed again. Bubbles
left their mouth as they tried to breathe in, again
taking the gross filth into their dying body. The convulsions
got worse, and worse, and worse, and worse, and the
scrambled panic of the cat's consciousness began to
disappear into nothing. With the last of their strength,
in their final moment of consciousness, they kicked, and the
chains binding them broke off.

Dead. <3
