“My, my, Tiifu, what's wrong?” Tiifu spun around and faced her friend. She hadn't realized that she was down here with her as well. How did she get down? And why did she seem so… suspicious right now?

Also… was it just the dark playing tricks on her, or did it look like Zuri was holding something in her mouth now?

Her questions were answered as Zuri vanished into the darkness and, a moment later, Tiifu felt a strong, sharp pain on her left buttocks as something flat and hard connected to it with a loud “WHAP”.

“YEOOWCH!” Tiifu shouted out in pain. “What was that?!? Zuri??”

She heard laughter through the darkness. “This is what you get when you lie, Tiifu! Time for your spanking punishment!!”

Tiifu’s ears drooped. She hated being spanked, and whatever it was that Zuri was using to spank her with, it hurt much more than the flat side of her mother's paw!

Again, Tiifu heard a quick shuffling of paws, followed by another WHAP to her butt, a jolt of pain traveling from the base of her tail to her ear tips.

“Ow… OWW!!” Tiifu cried out as, again and again, her behind was assaulted by the broad object. Unfortunately for her, Zuri was much too quick, and outpaced her attempted dodges.

WHAP! WHAP! WHAP!

Tiifu was in hysterics now, tears rolling down her face as she dropped down to the ground.

“Oh no you don't!” Just then, the young cub felt a light scratching on the base of her tail. She automatically raised her hind legs, waving her tender ass in the air.

“Ah! Zuri, quit it!” Before she had a chance to lower her bottom, another whack was received. Tiifu wailed in pain, tears flowing freely from her pleading eyes and dripping onto the stone floor. “Z-Zuri… ple-ase… please st-sto-stop.” Tiifu stammered through choked sobs, struggling to control her emotions. Her bottom was so sore, and now throbbed with pain with every heartbeat. Heat pulsated from where she was spanked, and she knew she would still be red and sore there tomorrow.

Still, the spanks continued, one after another. With every spank, her tender bottom got more and more sore, until she could no longer talk through her sobs. She continued to cry freely, her mewls echoing through the cave.

After what seemed like an eternity, the spanking ceased. Tiifu sniffled and hiccupped, straining through teary eyes to see Zuri, who now stood in front of her, the object by her side. To Tiifu, it looked like a wooden stick, which flattened and broadened out on the end. She quivered in fear at the sight of it, afraid that her friend would pick it up again and resume the torture.
 
But she did not. Instead, Zuri bent down and sniffed her tearstained face. “Hmpf. Looks like you learned your lesson.” She said.

Tiifu slowly stood up, her legs quivering and her butt still throbbing from the pain. “I-I’m sorry… I'm s-so-sorry…” she trailed off, looking down at her paws dejectedly. “I pr-promise I won't l-lie again.”

“Good!” Zuri said, her cheerful self returning. She padded to the far side of the hole. Tiifu heard the sounds of paws scrabbling and rocks falling, and a few seconds later, a faint, golden light washed over her as the far sidewall collapsed, revealing a small hole that led out into the pride lands. The sun was setting below the horizon, turning the sky deep shades of red and purple. To Tiifu, it was the most beautiful sight she has ever seen. Though, that might be because she was just extremely grateful that she was no longer being spanked.

The two lion cubs scrambled down the ledge and landed on the ground next to pride rock. Tiifu’s legs still shook with weakness, and she walked a bit awkwardly at first, trying to avoid causing more pain to her already sore bottom. She laid down next to Zuri, who sat studying the sunset; Tiifu knew that sitting would only hurt her more.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Zuri said, smiling down at her friend.

Tiifu gave an exasperated huff and nodded her head in agreement. “It is.”
The two cubs sat in silence for a while, enjoying the peace of the pride lands.

“You know, I know you were right today, Zuri… And I may have deserved that spanking… But I’m still going to get back at you one of these days!” Tiifu stated, breaking the silence between the two.

Zuri smiled down at her friend, a mischievous glint in her eyes, and stated:

“Is that a challenge?”
