As the cold wind blow through the trees of the woods as winter was coming near for the bright fur color wolves. It was the time of the week for mating season and it was bad news for a certain male wolf that was taking his nap in the old den. Sonic was sleeping, not aware that he was in heat at that time and already brought someone close by his scent. It's isn't good for him as if a unmated male come along and finds him in the state he's was in. Uke's are known to be weak even if their not pregnant with pups and that's why some ukes were gone from being weak as they are. As Sonic sleep on the soft bed that he made himself within the old den from the cold wind outside but a certain wolf come from smelling the sweet scent of the uke wolf in the den. The shadow figure come in the old den where the uke lay comfortably as it's icy blue eyes stare at the blue male with a evil grin on the figure's muzzle. He was closing in on the blue male and for him to not escape. Shadow on the other hand was at his spot, laying on his back and warming up in the sun with his dark fur. Then he rolled back to his belly, waking up from his warm and peaceful nap he had. He lifted his nose in the air, sniffing a sweet scent that no male can't resist.\n\n \"Is there a female in heat?\" Shadow asked himself then shook his head, looking down at the ground. \"No.. it can't be any females in here that i know of.. unless..\" Shadow started to think back for a second then it hit him. 'SONIC!!' Shadow didn't care what happens to the blue male but something told him that something bad would happen with the other if he doesn't go. So he lay his head back down to ignore the feeling about the blue male from his thoughts of him getting hurt or maybe be killed.\n\n-With Sonic\n\n As Sonic ear twitched hearing a 'SNAP' from a stick that broke from outside the old den as he woke up. As he stood up to look outside, his eyes instantly gone wide at seeing a shadow figure with it's icy blue eyes staring at him. After that the shadow figure step into the den for the other see him better. Sonic then saw a green male wolf grinning at him with his tail wagging behind him.\n\n \"Why hello cutie~\" The green male said as he come closer to the young male with a grin. \n\n Sonic instantly backed away with ears down to his head. \"W-who are you?.. And what do you want?\" He asked growling at the green male.\n\n As the green male getting even more closer to the blue male. Sonic bumped into the back of the den, seeing that the green male got the chance to block him in from escaping and now the other was up close to his face. The green male looked at the blue male's face as he grin seeing that the other was scared of what will happen and he like it that way.\n\n \"I'm scourge.. i'm just here cuz i smelled something yummy in the air~\" Scourge said as he licked Sonic's cheek. \"and i followed it here to you~ I can see your in heat little blue~\"\n\n \"I-im in h-heat??!!\" Sonic asked as he was shocked as ever. He shake in fear of his worse nightmare coming back.\n\n \"That's right blue~\" Scourge said then came close to Sonic's ear \"It smells wonderful~\"\n\n Without the other knowing, Scourge stepped beside the blue male with his paw on his back, pulling him around forcefully to had his rear facing him. He move his snout under the blue male's tail to sniff under it, taking in the sweet scent of the young uke and started to lick it. That made Sonic snap out of his shock state as he shiver by the wetness from behind. Sonic wanted to attack him but his body was not listening to him as he hold back a moan.\n\n \"Mmm~ you taste good too~\" Scourge said by licking his lips with lustful eyes.\n\n Scourge had hopped on Sonic's back as slowly humps him at first, holding him still. He was going to enjoy this and to had a cute mate to have for his own. His member was closes to the blue male's entrance as it was about to be push into him. Sonic was watching him sightly as he didn't want a mate like him.\n\n Sonic quickly close his eyes 'No!.. i cant let him do this.. but my body is not letting me' He thought as he was scared of this.\n\n That's when Sonic got a idea to bite Scourge's front paw on the side of him. Scourge yelped in pain from that as he jumped off the blue male's back and lick his injured paw. Sonic turn to face the green male as he growled. Scourge looked at the uke as he got angry and inpatient. He bite the young male's neck, focusing him to down and hitting the ground hard on his side. He let him go to look down at the scared blue male as he growling and started to attack him as the blue male was down. Sonic yelped, hoping that someone would hear his cries of him being attacked.\n\n 'someone.. please help me..' Sonic thought.\n\n-With Shadow\n\n Shadow still at his spot, laying in the sunlight like he always did finally his thoughts gone as he could relax in peace. His ear started to twitch by hearing something but just ignore it. He heard it again and this time alot more louder then before as he lifts his head to look towards the woods behind him. Shadow was hearing painful yelps that was coming from the same way the old den was at and to where the blue male was. Shadow wasn't sure if it was him or not but the yelps sound so familiar to him.\n\n \"Was that sonic i just heard?\" Shadow asked as he sniff the air once again then. \"Oh no..\"\n\n Shadow knew there was another wolf in his territory even if he's not an alpha as he do likes his space from other wolves. He started to get abit worried for Sonic's well being. He quickly stood up and took off running towards the old den as fast as he can go. When he got to the entrance of the den, he saw a green male in there with something blue and red mix with it on the ground. Shadow looked closer to the body on the ground and it was Sonic, covered in his own blood. He can hear the other whimpering in so much pain and now he out rage that this male hurt a innocent young uke. Shadow looked back at the one that did this to Sonic, seeing the green male with his muzzle and clawing dripping with Sonic's blood. He thinks for a second, deciding to just put his head on Sonic's back neck and re-closing his eye again to fall back to sleep.    "Alright.. I'll get them tomorrow if that's okay with you and i'm not taking no for a answer" Shadow said.

   "Mmm.. Fine.." Sonic said knowing that he can't get out of having the humans come.

   Shadow took one look at Sonic to make sure he was alright as he walked out of the den that was now Sonic's den.

   "W-wait shadow!" Sonic Said with a small blush on his muzzle. He stay quiet for a second seeing that the black male stopped. "C-can you s-stay with me?" He asked.

   "Well would i?.." Shadow asked turning his head slightly towards him.

   "Well you know.. if scourge or any other male wolf might come for me a-and hurt me" Sonic said shyly.

   It was true that Shadow don't want a another male coming for this young uke and hurt him again. Shadow smiled at the fact the other is asking him to stay the night with him. He turn back around to face him as he walked over to sit next to Sonic . Sonic on the hand blush at his fast response to stay with him and to what Shadow did just now. Shadow looked over at Sonic reddish muzzle and smiled warmly at him. Shadow rarely show his smiled to others but Sonic didn't know that yet.

   "Sure i don't mind staying here" Shadow said, laying his head down on his paws and close his eyes.

   Sonic smiled and did the same as Shadow did. Both of them went right to sleep as the moon came up, lighting the dark woods but Sonic shiver as the cold night air blow into the den. Shadow felt it, opening one eye to look at Sonic shivering body next to him and trying his best to stay warm without the others help. He thinks for a second, deciding to just put his head on Sonic's back neck and re-closing his eye again to fall back to sleep. Sonic felt the warmth on his neck and turn to nuzzled Shadow's neck in returned. Shadow started to have more feeling for the blue male to even risk his own life for him and protect him. He thinks it the sweet scent of his or the fact the Sonic was to cute, acting like a innocent little pup but he do know something about Sonic made him feel happy once in his life and want to keep it that way. Both of they sleep like this and wait for the next day to come for the two.
