As he stirred sleepily, shapes arose from the thick, viscous fluid, forming tendrils and tentacles that reached out and wrapped themselves tightly around the cub’s limbs and torso, shifting and twisting to form shapes that vaguely resembled hands. The little cub, now awake and aware of the mysterious presence around him, opened his maw to let out a wail of protest, but was quickly stifled as a large, slimy appendage was crammed down his throat, the tip secreting a tranquilizing liquid that would keep him docile and quiet. \n\nTwo large appendages, with ends resembling that of serpents’ heads, took hold of the hapless little cub’s ankles, raising them up and pulling them gently apart, as several smaller tentacles probed at the thick protective garment wrapped tightly between his legs and waist. Most were stopped by the outer impermeable shell, but a few managed to push into the gaps between his thighs and the insulating guards, wriggling their way into the open orifices and penetrating deep into the youngling’s body.\n\nThe little horned jackalope let out a muffled whine of dismay as he felt the pulsating feelers slithering inside his body. As he struggled against the staunch grip of his captor, his horns glowed blue for a brief moment, sparking with energy as he lashed out instinctively at the intruder with his dormant raw magical powers. The dark creature flinched and writhed as a burning sensation, not unlike the blinding brightness of sunlight, flared up deep within its core. A minor tentacle blazed, hardening and blackening from the magical heat, and crumbled into ashes. The entity shivered, not with pain or fear, but with excitement and anticipation at capturing such strong, unique prey. A few more years and the little critter might actually have been able to fend off its attacker with ease; as it was, the child already had enough power in its tiny body to incinerate the lesser horror, had he known how to harness it properly. Right now, however, he was too immature and too inexperienced to fight back, as the otherworldly creature steadily siphoned his arcane reserves away, tentacles pulsing with energy as they hungrily fed and sucked at his very essence, stripping away at his magical defences. \n\nEven as the eldritch horror slowly drained the lifeblood from the now helpless infant, it felt a twinge of regret. He was a such feisty little critter, and so full of potential, too … instead of food, perhaps he would serve better as its spawn instead? Taking only a brief moment to consider its actions, and with a slight hesitation of regret that it was passing up on such a delicious meal, it shuddered and withdrew the vampiric tendrils that had infiltrated the cub’s body, growing and replacing them with new ones that would instead feed him with its own dark eldritch essence. \n\nAs the cub struggled and squirmed uncomfortably at the steady flow of dark energies coursing into his tiny body, the primary head of the dark creature emerged from within the bed, gliding silently into view of the cub, distorting and reforming into an approximation of a form that it felt would be pleasing to the little tot; taking on the features of a young female vixen it had consumed and assimilated nearly three years ago.
