  "description": "Iv'e decided to upload my latest studies, if you didn't know im entirely self-thought, \ni have never been thought by anyone, i just happen to like reading non-fiction books.\nIn contrast i don't like reading fiction books, maby some surreal novels... nvm. \n\nAnyway, i want to share some of my progress with you all, so that you all know what am i doing art-wise. This isn't a beautiful piece as it is, but this is meant to be analysed, and observed, rather than just pondering its lovley-ness if you will.\n\n\nWhat's goin' on here?\nAfter my last (personally) unsuccessful work, i began practicing drawing faces, i looked into the anatomy of the actual head, referenced styles methods, and done some research overall. Its interesting to note how there are a total of six possible anthro heads, and i divided them to eastern style and western, and the main difference is the length of the 'snout' on the directional axis (referencing the loomis method as a starting point) the rest is more or less a matter of modeling, style, and anatomy.\n\nAfter that i wanted to try some painting, i was unhappy with some of my color choices, i downloaded a piece by Veramundis (a artist here on fa), the art he/she makes is beautiful, and i wanted to get the texture he/she achieved in her works, so i just messed up a part of her work, and tried to fix/finish it perfectly by imitating her style.\nI highly recommend this method of practice, i chose veramundis today because she is a digital artist, but i recommend doing this with the old masters. (old traditional painters, you know, like real guys who actually use real paint).\nAfter that i found some old diagrams on the hue/saturation effects in shading, and read some articles on contrast shading and other light effects ( i recommend anyone interested to follow James Gurney on http://gurneyjourney.blogspot.com/ , he has some fantastic articles on traditional painting, also his book are fantastic.\n\nWith that, i a white light source ( white, very important) on the base color and the shadows gradually shifted twords the cooler side of the color spectrum, the reflective light were painted normally, and so were the highlights, but i still need to look into several other color modulation techniques. With that i gained a much more vivid and charming color scheme. Also note, i didn't use lines, that might seem like a small thing, but its a great thing to me, i have always regretted my dependence on lines, and the 'old era' way of painting, i preferred the Renaissance and brown school, so as i gravitate away form the lines, i am very pleased with this.\n\n\nThere that's it, if you actually read that i thank you for having interest, \ni also hope you've learned something. I realize this isn't really for beginners,\nbut i hope that ill get to that in the future too.\nIf anything see it as a token of my gratitude for you all.",
