Chapter 2: Jealousy and consequences.

New York City, the next day.
The Lair.

Mikey's P.O.V.

I am lying in my bed, after a good nights rest and then i hear this...

"MICHELANGELO!"

It was Raph, only i didn't know why he was shouting. I didn't do a prank, yet, so i don't know why he was shouting my name. He sounded very VERY angry. 

So i got up and got dressed, that's my mask, belt and my beloved nun chucks and headed downstairs to the middle of the Lair. 

Downstairs i found the rest of the family, Leo on the old bench together with Donnie, Master Splinter was still in his room and Raph with his arms crossed over his chest. He was holding something in his hands but i couldn't figure out what he had there. Until i got close enough and then i remember.

It was a new comic of Batman i bought yesterday. I knew Raph wasn't fan of it, but i wanted it. He knows i read comics of super heroes, even the Nightwatcher!

"You rang?" i said when i was facing Raph.

"Yeah, i want to know what this is", he was showing the comic. Right at that moment, Sensei got out of his room.

"What is going on here", my father said.

"Raph is overreacting again".

"I'm NOT!" he shouted the last word.

"Yes, you are! Master, he's got a comic of mine about Batman. I told you about him last week. He's new at the Justice Force. There are comics about him and i bought one yesterday when i got out to get groceries and..." I couldn't finish because Raph had an outburst again.

"YEAH, YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO GET GROCERIES! AND THEN YOU GO AND GET A STUPID COMIC BOOK! YOU ARE ALWAYS THINKING ABOUT NOBODY BUT YOURSELF!” Raph shouted out loud while he was getting closer to me, our body's almost touching. It hurted to hear that from someone you love. Even though he didn't know it yet. Something snapped inside of me.

"WELL I'M SORRY RAPH, BUT IF YOU DIDN'T REMEMBER I DID BROUGTH THE GROCERIES AND I BOUGHT THAT COMIC FROM MY OWN MONEY. YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS!"

"JEALOUS! HOW DARE YOU TO CALL ME JEALOUS!!! And he hit me right in my face. Raph hit me. I fell to the ground and started crying silently. I bled out of my nose and mouth. I softly heard Master Splinter shout Raph's full name and told him to calm down. I looked up at him and i saw Leo and Don holding Raph back, otherwise he was still hitting me, i'm sure of that. I noticed he was starting to cool down, but the damage was done. He hit me. The one i love hit me. And i broke down. I was crying violently.

Raph's P.O.V.

'What have i done? I hit Mikey.

I never admitted it but i always liked that lil' goofball. Maybe i was even in love with him.

And now i hit him. Just over a stupid comic book about that new upcoming "star" Batman. Why was i feeling like this? Why was i so... Jealous. 

Oh My God! Mikey was right! But i couldn't hold myself back and then... It was to late. Mikey was lying on the ground, bleeding. And it's my fault.

"M-mikey, i... i-i'm so, so sorry. I.." I couldn't finish. Mikey was looking at me and his face, his eyes, were so full of pain. I felt guilt in my gut. Then he said something that surprised all of us, but mainly me.

"I.. I-i th-thought i l...lo-loved y-ou. B...b-but i was wrong". He couldn't speak normal because of all the blood coming out of his mouth. But i heard it, clear as day. Mikey... Loved me? He actually loved me? Then Mikey got up and run out of the main room of the lair and into his room. I felt Don letting me go and i saw him following my baby bro' to his room, calling out his name.

I saw Master Splinter coming up to me. Leo finally let go of my other arm. I looked at his face and saw a disgusting and a dissapointed look. Then i looked back at my sensei and he said:

"I am very dissapointed in you, my son". I bowed my head and closed my eyes. Tears were in my eyes. Yes me, Raphael, the toughest turtle, the hothead, has tears in his eyes because he just committed a serious crime in the family history. He hit his bro' so hard he was bleeding and hurt.

Words and images were flowing around in his head. It was like a movie was playing in my head.

When i snapped out of it, i looked at his master. And i said:

"I... I'm going out to get some air".

And Master Splinter reacted: 

"That's okay my son, but don't stay out to long, i want to talk to you later on, and be carefull, it's only 9 in the morning".

After that i walked out. Thinking of what i've done and how i'm gonna fix it.
 
But Raph never knew what was going to happen when he got back.
