"description": "When the events of the demonic invasion at the UAC Mars base were set in motion, many lives could have been saved had circumstances been slightly different. At the time, the Elite Guard was undeniably the best on-site countermeasure available. Had it not been for the activation of their \"precautionary\" kill switches, these cybernetically enhanced super-soldiers would have done a damn fine job at providing the necessary skills to assist in the evacuation of many UAC personnel. Just one of these specialized combatants could have likely held their own against hundreds of demons; With enough ammunition, perhaps even thousands. Imagine the sort of difference that could have been made had every Elite Guard been allowed to do their job.\n\nAs chance would have it, there was at least one Elite Guard who survived the kill switch. Vexx had been scheduled to have his systems inspected due to a minor issue he was experiencing with a few of his implants. The simple fact of the matter was that his kill switch was malfunctioning and a new one was going to be installed that very day.\n\nAt zero hour, the facility shook. While Vexx was spared, his brothers and sisters in arms spontaneously keeled over, dead. Without wasting time to mourn the others, Vexx suited up and grabbed his Heavy Assault Rifle. Locked and loaded with the high capacity weapon, as well as a few extra boxes of .50 caliber FMJ ammunition, the fox got straight to work.\n\nThe battle went as well as it could have with only one Elite Guard at the helm. Vexx saved as many as he could, but the nature of the situation was simply too chaotic for him to beat the demons back alone. As the leading authority over the lesser surviving UAC security forces, his advanced tactics surely made one hell of a difference for their operations. Once the retreat order was finally given for the remaining security forces to fall back, only Vexx and a handful of others were left. With almost everyone else either dead or possessed, regrouping with the Project Director of the Argent Facility was made priority number one.\n\nFor a good while, getting to the rally point seemed to be relatively low-risk... but this was only up until a new threat made itself known. Due to Vexx's heroic antics, he had inadvertently attracted the attention of a higher demon. This was the first of its kind anyone had ever seen to date. Not only did this creature use brute force to utterly decimate its prey, it also made use of advanced psionic abilities to influence the thoughts of every single person under Vexx's command. The ones that struggled to resist the demon's control screamed in agony... Some of them even proceeded to self-terminate in an effort to stop whatever it was that they were being put through. On the other side of things, the demon's mind control caused the rest of Vexx's unit to start literally making an effort to tackle and restrain him. Being the smallest male in the group made it hard to break free after the lot of them brought him to the ground. Before the fox could wiggle himself free, a big hand grabbed ahold of his helmet and ripped it from his head. With a distance of about an arms reach now separating himself and the higher demon, Vexx looked up and growled ferociously. The moment he locked eyes with the large creature, it was as if his whole world went black.\n\nWith a sudden return to consciousness, Vexx threw open his eyes and filled his lungs with air. Panic-stricken, the snow fox snapped his head from side to side. From the looks of things, he was currently alone. Furrowing his brow, he stood up and took in his alien surroundings, quickly concluding that he was now somewhere completely different from before. Wherever this place was, the world around him looked positively hellish. Another concern made itself known when a slight breeze rolled on by. The thing that was so concerning was that the breeze was not only felt brushing against his recently exposed face... but also his exposed tummy. Throwing his attention downwards, Vexx confirmed his suspicions, noting that a lot of his armor was now missing.
