Because of this fact, flower nectar made it into the cycle of commercially grown food products and was marketed accordingly. The process, for those who still carried the honey-making gene, was simple. Consume flower nectar and you will eventually secrete honey along with your saliva. It's not the most graceful of bodily functions.. but nobody was really bothered by it anymore.\n\nNow! About one in every few thousand bee's who actually carry this already rare honey-making gene.. end up with an even rarer mutated version of it. This particular mutation prevents sufferers from producing honey the normal way and eventually leads to their bodies finding somewhere else, at random, to carry out the conversion process. This could range anywhere from their stomach, to an impossible to drain sac by their heart or in their lungs. Some scenarios are obviously way worse than others and have even been known to lead to death in rare circumstances. When in doubt, as long as a sufferer stayed away from nectar, they wouldn't accumulate any more honey in their trouble spot. However.. flower nectar for bee's is like candy for you. Not the easiest thing to give up...\n\nAs fate would have it, with puberty, Lisle would inevitably find himself suffering from the rare disorder himself. Once his testes started to produce sperm at a functional rate, the unnatural location of his honey factory was decided by his body.
