When he is not hired to deliver a message while taking advantage of his species' innate speed, he scouts beyond the outskirts to explore new land and complete his own map of the world. He encounters Bruha soon after his first few tasks, who in turn convinced the Kalapean to tag her along in his journey.\n\nBruha is an arrogant and proud Deviru, and little is known about her origin or her species at all. As a rare outgoing specimen of her usually-seclusive and ultra-violent kind, the very few who know about them prefer to observe the relatively peaceful Bruha from a distance. Prone to pulling off pranks on random victims, she usually leads her companions (mostly the unsuspecting Vulapa) into trouble.
