Mind if I travel with you for awhile?”\n\nGen smiles.\n\n“Not at all. We can catch up on the way.”\n\n“Good. How much further do you have to go before you find your bounty?”\n\n“Not much farther. It should not take that much longer to get to where we have to get to.”\n\nBoth break camp and settle down for the night.\n\nUnknownst to them however a shadowy figure has been watching them.\n\nMeanwhile as our heroes sleep we travel to an undisclosed location.\n\n“Are they almost within range?”\n\n“Yes sir. Our scouts report they are nearly here.”\n\n“Very good.”\n\n“What are your orders sir?”\n\n“Let them come. Do not intervene until they are inside the base.”\n\n“Yes sir.”\n\n“Do remember, I don’t want them harmed. Only give them enough resistance not to make them expect this a trap.”\n\n“Yes sir.”\n\nWe now return to Gen and Usagi who have been sleeping most the night.\n\nUsagi is the first to wake up.\n\n“Gen, wake up. I think its time to get going.”\n\nGen opens his eyes.\n\n“Its still dark out. Oh well….”\n\nUsagi smiles.\n\n“I can see you van never get up early can you?”\n\n“Hey, I like to sleep in. You never know when you will get a good night sleep can you.”\n\n“I guess not. Anyways I think we should fix something to eat. I do not know how difficult this will be. One should always be at full strength when against unknowst odds.”\n\nWith that Usagi starts a small cooking fire and gets to work preparing a meal.\n\nAn hour later or so Gen and Usagi finish with their meal.\n\n“Let’s get going Gen.”\n\n“I’ll be right behind you.”\n\nBoth rush off into the night to their destination.\n\nA few hours later they arrive at the fortress.\n\nGen looks at the building.\n\n“Hmm…..Looks a bit bigger then I thought. No matter though…..”\n\n“Gen, I don’t like the feel of this place.”\n\nGen looks at Usagi puzzled.\n\n“What do you mean?”\n\n“If this was indeed a fortified fortress, where are the guards?”\n\nGen looks around.\n\n“I see what you mean. Either it’s deserted or it’s a trap.”\n\n“Either way we must enter to find out why.”\n\n“Agreed.”\n\nGen looks for a way in.\n\n“Can you see a way into this place?”\n\n“Let’s try the front door.”\n\nGen shakes his head.\n\n“It can’t be that easy can it?”\n\n“We won’t know until we try.”\n\nUsagi pushes on the door.\n\nWith little effort the door opens.\n\nUsagi thinks to himself.\n\n“Could this place really be abandoned?”\n\nGen grumbles.\n\n“I think this way to easy. Get them!”\n\nOut of nowhere guards start running towards Gen and Usagi.\n\nGen laughs.\n\n“I think they want to fight.”\n\nUsagi sighs.\n\n“What gave you that idea?”\n\nGen growls.\n\n“You know you guys are no match for us don’t you?”\n\nTen or so minutes pass\n\nWith little effort Usagi and Gen defeat their opponents.\n\n“Retreat!”\n\nGen sighs.\n\n“That was barely a workout.”\n\nUsagi turns to Gen.\n\n“There is bound to be more of them inside.”\n\nGen nods.\n\n“Right!”\n\nBoth of our heroes continue onwards into the fortress warily.\n\nUsagi looks over towards Gen.\n\n“That can’t be all of them can it?”\n\n“I don’t know.”\n\nGen scans ahead and spots another door.\n\n“Look up ahead.”\n\nGen points.\n\n“Looks like a smaller door that may lead to what we are after.”\n\nUsagi looks the same way seeing the door.\n\n“Remember my friend, looks can be deceiving.”\n\n“Yea I know. What choice do we have? I don’t see any other passages.”\n\nUsagi nods.\n\n“I agree. I guess we don’t have a choice if we want to continue on.”\n\nA few minutes pass as they head to the door.\n\nGen reaches for the door and opens it.\n\nNothing happens….\n\n“I guess nothing happened after all.”\n\nBoth go through the door and find steps leading down into the darkness.\n\nUsagi tries to look down into the pitch black.\n\n“I can’t see anything.”\n\nJust then as he spoke torches were set ablaze lighting the passage way down.\n\n“I stand corrected. There most defiantly someone here.”\n\nAt the same time down in the bowls of the fortress…….\n\n“Shall we capture them now sir?”\n\nLaughter can be heard.\n\n“Let them come. You know what to do.”\n\nThe figure laughs again.\n\n“Not much longer now.
