Things didn't go quite as planned with this game!\nWhen I started working on it a year ago (just the writing), I expected to be able to finish it in its entierty by the end of this year. I was going to do a grand reveal about the Super Secret Project I was working on. Unfortunately, that isn't possible.\nNot only it would take longer, but my motivation for it has pretty much vanished, and now that the demo is done, I'd like to take a break from it.\n\nIt's sad, because I'm genuinely proud of what the full game could have been, but I don't feel confident enough in my abitlity to finish it to *promise* you I'll do it for certain one day. This demo is about 1/9 of everything I've written for it, and it took me a year to finish (granted, I was going at a very moderate pace, but it wouldn't have been sustainable otherwise). Unless I'm magically able to focus on it full time (and that's *once* I get some motivation back), I don't know if that's feasible for me.\n\n[b]If you want to try out this demo right now, it's up on my fanbox. Well! Things didn't go quite as planned with this game!
When I started working on it a year ago (just the writing), I expected to be able to finish it in its entierty by the end of this year. I was going to do a grand reveal about the Super Secret Project I was working on. Unfortunately, that isn't possible.
Not only it would take longer, but my motivation for it has pretty much vanished, and now that the demo is done, I'd like to take a break from it.
It's sad, because I'm genuinely proud of what the full game could have been, but I don't feel confident enough in my abitlity to finish it to *promise* you I'll do it for certain one day. This demo is about 1/9 of everything I've written for it, and it took me a year to finish (granted, I was going at a very moderate pace, but it wouldn't have been sustainable otherwise). Unless I'm magically able to focus on it full time (and that's *once* I get some motivation back), I don't know if that's feasible for me.
If you want to try out this demo right now, it's up on my fanbox. If you can't afford it or would rather wait, I'll release it for free at the end of the year, so please be patient.
If you play it, I would love to hear your opinions on it!
