Just A Baby

        'Proud mother.' She thought, 'That's what I am. That's what I feel. The truth. The title I wear.' Stephanie Mocha, 30 years old, walked down the central hall of Cedar Pines mall, well of pride in her chest. It was early enough in the morning, her first day free to go out and do things. Right now, walking, she was full of thoughts.
        'Proud, not of myself, of course,' she thought, smiling down to her side, 'but my child.' Her paw held a smaller, trusting paw, a small smile looking up at her. 'Any greatness gracing my life isn't by me or by my paws. It's by my little one. Such happiness in such a small package and in such a pretty dress.'
        Among the looks and smiles the two received, Stephanie felt a little guilty. What was the real reason she was doing this? Oh, there was one of the three places she needed to go to.
        "C'mon," she gently tugged, "let's duck into here." The paws broke, but the two stayed close. She saw the items she wanted to see right away. Okay, good, no need to look around; we didn't have much time left anyway. A saleswoman approached, big smile.
        "I'm sorry, but I must tell you, you have the most precious daughter in the most beautiful dress!" The woman said, kneeling down. Stephanie felt a rush again. She smiled. Yes, my daughter is very beautiful, she thought. The woman looked up at Stephanie and whispered. "She is YOUR daughter, right?" The two women chuckled.
        "Yes, this is my daughter Lori." Stephanie said. The little girl curtsied and smiled big.
        "Nice to meet you!" She sang, high-pitched. Stephanie chuckled, as did the saleswoman.
        "Singing, huh?" She said.
        "Yes, she loves to sing when out in public." Stephanie said, closing in and whispering, "she's shy about being out in the city."
        "Oh, are you from outside of Portland?"
        "Yeah, we're a good ways out. But we love coming to Beaver Crossing whenever we can."
        "Well, if you have any questions, come ask me. My name is Susie."
        "Thank you very much, Susie." Stephanie said, looking at her Lori, "Lori, say goodbye to the nice lady."
        "Goooood byyyye!" Lori sand. The two women laughed and said byes. Alone with her daughter again, Stephanie came to a strong realization: she was horny again. She looked at Lori and smiled.
        "Lori..." she said, kneeling and hugging the girl, whispering, "wanna have some secret fun?" The girl's face lit up, nodding. Stephanie smiled and put the desired products down on the shelf, leaving the store with Lori and finding the nearest bathroom.

        "But what if it DID happen, Stephanie?" Brenda said, rather excited and worried. Stephanie had come over to the McIntoshes house for tea and talking.         “But I’d think Lyle would tell me. He’s pretty honest.” Stephanie said, sipping. Brenda shook her head.
        “Steph, you know as well as I do that while Lyle may be honest and good, there are girls out there that aren’t; they could manipulate him with their charms.” Brenda said, smiling. “Did ya ever do that as a kid?” Stephanie blushed and looked away.
        “Oh, um, of course not! That’s so… deceitful!” She said. Brenda cocked her eyebrows.
        “Well, trust me, girls do it. All it would take is a cute little girl to lure Lyle to a world of whatever!” Brenda laughed.
        “Lyle is… he’s too young for that.”
        “Kids are doing things at younger and younger ages, Stephanie! You can only do so much.”
        “But… but what do I do when that happens?”
        “Start talking to him about it so he’s at least somewhat ready when girls start showing interest in him.” Brenda said, sipping. Stephanie’s eyes went wide.
        “You mean, give him ‘the talk’ already?!” She exclaimed. Brenda looked at her weird.
        “Well… yeah… Haven’t you discussed anything with him yet?”
        “He’s only 7 and he’ll be 8 in 5 months! He’s still a baby!” Stephanie said. Brenda crossed her arms and looked her friend in the eyes.
        “In another year after that, he just may start puberty. He’s gotta be ready for all those changes and weird feelings; can’t let him go at it alone. How much help do you think David could be with Lyle?”
        “I don’t know; we don’t talk much about things like this.” Stephanie said, looking aside and nervously adjusting her glasses and hair, blushing. Her own little son, Lyle, becoming a man soon. She couldn’t believe it. Had he grown up that fast?
        “So, you’ve given the twins ‘the talk’ already?” Stephanie asked. Brenda swallowed and chuckled.
       “We gave Isabelle the talk when she was still 6, turning 7. She’s really smart and we didn’t want to take any chances on her finding things out already. Plus, we didn’t give it all to her at once. We’ve just been giving her little by little. She’s so mature, she’s been handling the truth pretty well.”
        “What about Taylor?” Stephanie asked. Brenda’s eyelids lowered and her smile disappeared.
        “We’re still waiting.” She said, monotone. Stephanie laughed and covered her mouth.
        “I’m sorry, I’m sorry! That was really funny!” she laughed. Brenda laughed, too.
        “That’s our son.” She said. Both women drank silently.
        “March… the twins’ birthday is in June, right?” Stephanie asked. Brenda nodded.
        “June 7th. They’ll be 8. Wow… 8…” she said, looking out.
        “Time moves fast.”
        “Sure does.” Brenda said, finishing her tea. Stephanie thought about her little Lyle. He couldn’t handle things himself, right? No way; he’s been too clingy lately, constantly snuggling with her. And even at times during those snuggles, she’d found his little penis hard as a rock. Yeah, he was becoming a man alright. Maybe they should have the talk with him soon.
        Stephanie left Brenda’s house and went home. The kids would be off school soon and she wanted to be there to make her little Lyle something to eat when he got there.
