She dreamily watched Becky talk to the cloaked figures near the window. Becky’s small stature paled in comparison to most of the dignitaries, made more evident to Izzy by watching the raccoon standing and talking to each one. The size differences were humorously contrasted with how enamored the bigger figures were over little Becky’s presence. It seemed the chance to speak one-on-one with the [i]Sen Yubi[/i] was one of those experiences these people waited their entire existence for. It was… [i]religious[/i] to them. Izzy knew Becky’s sister Melissa was an important figure—if not THE most important being—in the majority of the galaxy, so her sister would be revered as well. Izzy recalled Becky saying their mother, Millie, was important, too, which made sense as she created the two girls. \n The star-struck looks on the dignitaries faces made Izzy giggle, thought she tried to hide it. To them, Becky was more than a celebrity; she was like the Pope, but to Izzy, she was her best friend. Melissa, the most important, was like a Messiah, but actually visited all the time and ate pizza. To Izzy, Melissa, aside from being Becky’s sister, was her 3rd grade teacher, though that wasn’t to say she was [i]just[/i] their 3rd grade teacher; she was the greatest teacher ever, taking her class through lessons using her powers in ways that shouldn’t have been possible, even to Becky. Everyday was like a field trip, and the [i]actual[/i] field trips were out of this world, well, at least on Earth. The close connections Izzy, Tay, and even Jules had with Melissa and Becky… [i]how important would[/i] THEY [i]be considered? What would they think of a brother and sister being in love? Were there even things like siblings in space?[/i] Becky walked over to the three kids.\n “Guys, let’s get to know our escorts and help them know us.” Becky started in her most diplomatic voice.\n “Okay!” Jules said, of course, drifting like walking on air toward the tall figures (or the tallest figure? Izzy wondered.)\n “Do we have to? I don’t wanna get wet.” Tay whined.\n “Tay… what?” Becky said then asked in confusion.\n “Feckin’ dolphins…” the boy scoffed, receiving a smack to the back of the head from… his sister.\n “Taylor! Shh!” Izzy hissed.\n Fennish was the white rabbit-ish one Becky already seemed to know. She said his species was an ‘usagon.’\n The tall, wolf/bear guy Jules was flirting with was a ‘cursanid’ named Arin.\n Chero was the name of the only woman in the group, that Izzy could tell, given the recent talk of more than just Male and Female in the galaxy Becky was doing. She looked like a pink furry dragon, but with cat ears and teeth. Apparently, her species was called a ‘solemyche.’\n The thin warrior-looking guy with scars, tattoos and always scowled was Raquí. He was of a warrior race of otters known as the Val’Ott.\n The quiet, intelligent-looking bear fellow with glasses and carrying a thick book was Marcus.\n Towering over them all in an ‘aquamech’ was Ek, the dolphin, who moved around non-aquatic environments in what was essentially a tank of water encased in a robotic body, piloted by the dolphin inside who would emit different sound frequencies against receptor panels inside the tank that would operate the mech or speak in synthesized speech.\n “And this is my best friend, Isabelle, and her twin brother, Taylor.” Becky said, indicating toward the two. Izzy smiled.\n “Nice to meet you!” she said.\n “Your accent is different from Ms Rebecca, is it not?” Arin said.\n “Yeah, we’re originally from Australia, a big island at the southern part of our planet!” Izzy said with pride. Ek motioned forward.\n “Australia. Land in the south. Have visited ocean. Great Barrier Reef. Beauty.” He spoke in his stuttered synthetic speech.\n “We gots terror dolphins back home?!” Tay yelled, more like ‘yipped’ as he was yanked away by Becky, unfortunately after his entire statement had gotten out.\n “Taylor!” Izzy cried.\n “Again, sorry about him; he’s dumb.” Becky said through grinning teeth. She caught Izzy’s gaze, something in her friend’s eyes, something concerned. “Oh, I mean… he’s dumb sometimes…” she said. Ek looked at Tay sprawled out on the floor then walked away.\n The next tone Izzy heard overhead was more musical, a charming little melody that seemed to reflect the feeling of arrival, accompanied by words spoken in the same soft, female voice three times:\n\n [i]Arrival, Clannarad Station, Ireos[/i]\n\n The ship shuddered into a low rumble, lights previously unseen coming to life, seeming to indicate where passengers should go for deboarding. Under Izzy’s feet green blinking crooked lines that she took as ‘space arrows’ lit up and gently flashed in the direction of the big door with all the warning signs around it.\n “You guys ready?” Becky said, approaching the group, “We’re gonna get on a shuttle craft to take us down to Ireos, but we have to cross through the Clannarad station to get there, escorted the entire way by these fine dignitaries—” Izzy cheered in her head that she had been thinking of the cloaked figures with the correct word, “—so we’ll have to [i]stay close—[/i]” Becky raised her voice as she looked at Jules, “—and [i]keep up.[/i]” she said at Tay. To Izzy, she simply smiled.\n The big door began to flash in sync with the green arrows on the floor. At first, Izzy thought the door itself was somehow glowing, but soon realized it was lights surrounding and illuminating the door instead. The ship shuddered around the passengers, loud metallic banging happening somewhere. There was a louder tone that Izzy took as being local to the door before them and the hiss of airlocks. The door slid upward, revealing a black metallic landing on the other side. Izzy tummy flopped; [i]more aliens![/i] Door clear, dark blue walls and a white ceiling met with another door on the other side, but this door, yellow and what Izzy thought of as ‘dirty, teeth white,’ looked out of place with the Cruz Vacia’s design scheme. [i]That’s the Clannarad Station![/i] she thought. This room was small, but not too small for someone like Ek to fit in. Someone was standing in the room, someone Izzy had seen before.\n “Hello, Rebecca.” The green fox lady said.\n “Oh, Harriet, hi!” Becky said in pleasant surprise, giving the fox a hug.\n “You let us dock, right?” Izzy asked. Harriet, immediately pleased to have Izzy talk to her, smiled.\n “You’re with Miss Hitoshi, I assume?” she said. Izzy nodded. “So, you would be Isabelle then?” Harriet asked.\n “Yes, ma’am!” Izzy squeaked.\n “Rebecca has talked about you many times, and…” Izzy followed Harriet’s eyes to Tay, the other dingo in the room who was a spitting image of Izzy in many ways, “Taylor..?”\n “Yeah, she knows about Tay, too.” There was a chuckle or two from some in the group. It seemed to Izzy that it didn’t take much for anyone, even aliens, to not understand, but ‘get’ Tay. Other passengers in distinct clothes made their ways to the big door, deboarding as well behind the group of kids and dignitaries. Harriet led them all to the off-white door that slid open with different motion and sounds than the Cruz Vacia, indicating a whole new experience awaiting the group. Hoods on, no one really paid the kids much mind, looking like they fit in with the taller robed figures.\n “Do we return the hoodies, or..?” Izzy asked.\n “Oh, Ms Selon is gifting them to you, Ms Isabelle.” Harriet said.\n “Yeah,” Becky smiled, “think of them as your first of many souvenirs.” Harriet said goodbye with the commonly seen paw signals and the group of ten were on their way into the Clannarad Station. Immediately, Izzy was reminded of an airport, which made sense for a space station. Signs in several alien languages covering many storefronts, people of absolutely different shapes, sizes, even states of matter crowding and traversing the halls or tubes along the halls, which were seen in various directions, making Izzy think of a comparison to airports and malls on Earth as being 2-dimensional whereas Clannarad Station was 3-dimensional.\n “Is this duty-free?” Tay asked, Izzy knowing he, too, thought of it like an airport.\n “Nah, just stores, but hey, be glad you peed before this; the toilets here are…”\n “’Filthy?’” Izzy said, trying to finish Becky’s sentence. Becky’s eyes rolled slowly in thought.\n “…unpredictably unclean, let’s say. Don’t wanna sit and melt in some kind of organic solvent left by anyone.” She finished. \n The group walked to an open area past the stores into a large—what Izzy had to call—’vinyl park,’like a city or town parks, but…everything was gray and cushion-y and looked like vinyl seats in a mall courtyard. A huge window partially domes over the place with Ireos proudly displayed beyond the ‘space glass.’ The group deviated into the side of the large space toward an alcove with terminals like the light dispensers on the Cruz Vacia, but these had symbols that looked like instructions for dolphins. “Excuse Mr. Ek, children, Sun Yubi; he must depart.” Fennish said. The kids turned to the dolphin in his aquamech.\n “We thank you for your help, Mr. Ek.” Becky said, bowing. The others thanked him and bowed as well. Ek responded with a bow, the hand signals and a highly synthesized voice.\n “Honor to meet Sen Yubi. To Amorian Temple, your goal, I wish all the love of the universe upon you.” Ek backed up to a terminal and… squatted. Izzy had to admit, it was kinda funny looking, almost like Ek was—\n “Are you pooping?!” Tay screamed, a shiver on his part indicating that even Tay himself found the outburst startling. He leaned over to his sister and whispered, “is he pooping?”\n “Taylor!” Izzy yelled. Everyone looked at the dingo boy with either anger or shock. Ek, through a visor window, was the former. Airlock sounds and lights and within seconds, Ek was gone from the tank, into the tubes along the wall as himself: a dolphin. He nodded at the group and rocketed off through the tube.\n “Hmm…” Jules said, “he did poop out a dolphin.” Becky stamped forward among the two ‘idiots.’\n “That dolphin WAS Mr.—” An orange paw landed on Becky’s mouth.\n “I know; was just teasin’ ya, silly.” Jules said, flashing eyes at the raccoon, a smile and moved on. Becky blushed.\n “Let’s go…”\n A few moments further into Clannarad brought the group to a small arena-like chamber with bedroom-sized rooms glowing a gentle blue, like in an office, with windows beyond those showing the inside of a wall, Izzy guessed. Fennish led the group into one of the rooms and once inside, Becky rushed to a rail that formed a half circle about the ‘window.’ “You guys are gonna wanna hold on.” Becky said. \n Behind them, Fennish, Chero, Arin, Raquí and Marcus filed in, sitting in the seats that were a bit far from the rail Izzy, Tay and Jules were just now grasping. The ‘room’ had a constant hum that, once the door closed, was all Izzy could hear, noises of the station cut off with the door closing. Through the window, Izzy could now see it was indeed the insides of a wall, black piping and metallic sheeting. Then, it hit her: they were inside [i]another[/i] little space ship. \n A small computer voice said “Disengaged” and the black view through the window shifted. Soon, they were moving down, down, down. The dark internals gave way to a bright white and blue and green among black. [i]It was Ireos![/i] Izzy watched, alongside her friends, Jules and Becky and of course Tay as the planet got closer and closer and closer. Finally, they were among the clouds, unable to see anything but swaths of white and cotton-y textures. The white teased colors and shapes here… then there… then—! The white fell away in fast patches revealing an enormous city! The kids fell into a stunned silence, despite 50% having already seen this place. Izzy agreed that it was amazing. No way could anyone get ‘used’ to this! \n There were tall, gleaming white towers and giant structures among them inter-weaved by roads or just lines of traffic, vehicles of all kinds, ones Izzy thought she’d seen in moves and TV shows and ones she’d never have guessed the design. Among the blue and whites were large patches of green. It was like the city co-existed with nature. Some trees were as big [i]as[/i] the buildings themselves. “This,” Becky started, “is Cetear, capitol city of Cetean, the most powerful nation on Ireos.” There was a gentle murmur of amusement from the others, even Jules, who had seen it who knew how many times already.\n The shuttle slowed and suddenly descended into a long shaft that started as black, but soon became blue just before it opened to a large chamber with elaborate, organic flair. The shuttle landed beside a long, double row of huge, threatening looking figures of many different species right outside the door. Izzy worried a little; [i]what were they there for?[/i] “Are these guys all here for you?” she asked to a smiling Becky.\n “Not just me, no. You…” Becky eyes Jules in her pause, “…three, as well as these oracle men are important, too.” Izzy felt special, clinging to Tay as he was discerning the new figures with a silent stare. Becky touched Tay’s shoulder. “Don’t worry; they’re just here for our arrival.”\n The shuttle door opened and the group was greeted by another dolphin in an aquamech, who led them into a large room with murals on the walls. One depicting what looked like Melissa fighting another, darker looking Melissa, another mural showed a figure looking like Becky’s mom and a young Melissa glowing in space. One big one showed Melissa and another little girl who looked important and they were holding paws. Everything had angels floating about, no… they were winged dolphins… \n Beneath the big mural were a few openings, the one on the right taking the group down a hallway to a long tunnel with a conveyor belt running down it. The belt zipped them, not too fast, down to what looked like a small subway station, but with white and glass panels. They boarded an elegant ‘car’ that took them down tubes and tubes, passing scenes too quick to understand. Finally, a last turn, long tube, the walls started turning from smooth white metal to rich crimson that, once the car slowed down and stopped at a smaller, but more elegant station, looked to Izzy like velvet. \n The kids and the new greeting dolphin exited the elegant car and Becky turned to Fennish and the others, bowing. “I thank you all for the escort.” She said. The dignitaries bowed and showed signals and the other kids said their goodbyes as well. As the car door closed, Fennish caught Izzy’s eye and smiled big, mouthing the words ‘Good luck.’ The car departed.\n The dolphin led the kids down a black hall, up some black steps, down another hall of several doors before arriving at the huge double doors at the end. The doors were wooden with elaborate scenes of Melissa and the other little girl glowing above thousands of figures below, who looked happy. The dolphin opened the doors with a shove, giving Izzy an idea how heavy they must’ve been. Inside was an enormous hall with the highest ceilings and mini chambers between long stained glass murals as tall as the room itself, and everything was a comfortable red. Becky turned to the others, “Welcome to the Amorian Temple.”",

“That dolphin WAS Mr.—” An orange paw landed on Becky’s mouth.
“I know; was just teasin’ ya, silly.” Jules said, flashing eyes at the raccoon, a smile and moved on. Becky blushed.
“Let’s go…”
A few moments further into Clannarad brought the group to a small arena-like chamber with bedroom-sized rooms glowing a gentle blue, like in an office, with windows beyond those showing the inside of a wall, Izzy guessed. Fennish led the group into one of the rooms and once inside, Becky rushed to a rail that formed a half circle about the ‘window.’ “You guys are gonna wanna hold on.” Becky said.
Behind them, Fennish, Chero, Arin, Raquí and Marcus filed in, sitting in the seats that were a bit far from the rail Izzy, Tay and Jules were just now grasping. The ‘room’ had a constant hum that, once the door closed, was all Izzy could hear, noises of the station cut off with the door closing. Through the window, Izzy could now see it was indeed the insides of a wall, black piping and metallic sheeting. Then, it hit her: they were inside another little space ship.
A small computer voice said “Disengaged” and the black view through the window shifted. Soon, they were moving down, down, down. The dark internals gave way to a bright white and blue and green among black. It was Ireos! Izzy watched, alongside her friends, Jules and Becky and of course Tay as the planet got closer and closer and closer. Finally, they were among the clouds, unable to see anything but swaths of white and cotton-y textures. The white teased colors and shapes here… then there… then—! The white fell away in fast patches revealing an enormous city! The kids fell into a stunned silence, despite 50% having already seen this place. Izzy agreed that it was amazing. No way could anyone get ‘used’ to this!
There were tall, gleaming white towers and giant structures among them inter-weaved by roads or just lines of traffic, vehicles of all kinds, ones Izzy thought she’d seen in moves and TV shows and ones she’d never have guessed the design. Among the blue and whites were large patches of green. It was like the city co-existed with nature. Some trees were as big as the buildings themselves. “This,” Becky started, “is Cetear, capitol city of Cetean, the most powerful nation on Ireos.” There was a gentle murmur of amusement from the others, even Jules, who had seen it who knew how many times already.
The shuttle slowed and suddenly descended into a long shaft that started as black, but soon became blue just before it opened to a large chamber with elaborate, organic flair. The shuttle landed beside a long, double row of huge, threatening looking figures of many different species right outside the door. Izzy worried a little; what were they there for? “Are these guys all here for you?” she asked to a smiling Becky.
“Not just me, no. You…” Becky eyes Jules in her pause, “…three, as well as these oracle men are important, too.” Izzy felt special, clinging to Tay as he was discerning the new figures with a silent stare. Becky touched Tay’s shoulder. “Don’t worry; they’re just here for our arrival.”
The shuttle door opened and the group was greeted by another dolphin in an aquamech, who led them into a large room with murals on the walls. One depicting what looked like Melissa fighting another, darker looking Melissa, another mural showed a figure looking like Becky’s mom and a young Melissa glowing in space. One big one showed Melissa and another little girl who looked important and they were holding paws. Everything had angels floating about, no… they were winged dolphins…
Beneath the big mural were a few openings, the one on the right taking the group down a hallway to a long tunnel with a conveyor belt running down it. The belt zipped them, not too fast, down to what looked like a small subway station, but with white and glass panels. They boarded an elegant ‘car’ that took them down tubes and tubes, passing scenes too quick to understand. Finally, a last turn, long tube, the walls started turning from smooth white metal to rich crimson that, once the car slowed down and stopped at a smaller, but more elegant station, looked to Izzy like velvet.
The kids and the new greeting dolphin exited the elegant car and Becky turned to Fennish and the others, bowing. “I thank you all for the escort.” She said. The dignitaries bowed and showed signals and the other kids said their goodbyes as well. As the car door closed, Fennish caught Izzy’s eye and smiled big, mouthing the words ‘Good luck.’ The car departed.
The dolphin led the kids down a black hall, up some black steps, down another hall of several doors before arriving at the huge double doors at the end. The doors were wooden with elaborate scenes of Melissa and the other little girl glowing above thousands of figures below, who looked happy. The dolphin opened the doors with a shove, giving Izzy an idea how heavy they must’ve been. Inside was an enormous hall with the highest ceilings and mini chambers between long stained glass murals as tall as the room itself, and everything was a comfortable red. Becky turned to the others, “Welcome to the Amorian Temple.”",
