Chapter 7
Vicarious Passion

The three approached the street turn off towards the train station. After the sounds of the Raulston household had subsided into the distance, there hadn't been much conversation; all three girls were tired and just wanted to get out of the cold.
Miranda felt a strong urge to cry, fighting it since Jules and Dennis were making out and getting yelled at by Audrey. She’d been crushing on Jules for a long time, much longer than Jules was with Dennis. She felt unfairly gypped of the whole situation. She wasn’t possessive or anything, she just wanted to be with Jules, whatever that may mean. The train station was soon in view.
The station was getting closer. Izzy coughed a few times and it reminded Miranda of how cold it was outside. Beside her, Izzy fiddled in her hoodie pockets. Miranda assumed she was trying to get warm. All three girls stared down at the street awkwardly. Why was no one talking? Miranda kept swallowing back the tears that wanted to flow. She wanted to just scream and cry about it all. She just wanted to tell someone!
Soon, they were on the station property. Suddenly, Becky received a text. She retrieved her phone and Becky seemed to make a little gasp noise. What was the problem? Miranda didn’t care; nothing seemed important.
“So, that was a crazy situation back at Audrey’s house, huh?” Becky laughed as they ascended the station steps, slapping Miranda on the back lightly. Yeah... crazy... Miranda thought. They swiped their boarding passes and entered the train. As they boarded the train, Miranda noticed there weren’t too many people there, but maybe she was glad to just be with her two good friends. Becky looked around for people before bringing the girls into a private area. Miranda had a curious look on her face.
“What’s going on, guys?” Miranda said as Becky and Izzy stood before her, Becky casting a few glances at Izzy while talking.
“Miranda, we feel that you are someone we can trust with this…” Becky said.
“…with what?” Miranda asked. Becky and Izzy looked hard at each other. What were they going to tell her?
“Miranda… Becky and I… we’re…” Izzy choked. Miranda just looked at her confused.
“What?” she asked. Becky spoke up.
“We’re… we’re in l-love…” The girls blushed hard and bashfully looked away, smiles starting to creep onto their faces. Miranda blinked.
“…’in love?’ With… with each other..?” Miranda stammered. Becky and Izzy brought their smiles around and smiled directly at each other, then at Miranda, who was starting to smile more with every passing second.
“Yeah… we love each other… heh…” Izzy said. Both Becky and Izzy seemed to feel a massive weight lifting from them. Miranda stood smiling, wide, watery eyes, clasping paws over her mouth, squealing a little. This was totally unexpected! And it seemed to lift Miranda’s spirits a bit.
“Are you guys serious?! I mean, you’re not joking?!” She said, hunched over and smiling big. The two girls held paws as Becky spoke up again.
“We’re for real.”
“We’re girlfriend girlfriends, heh.” Izzy said.
“Oh, my God! I’m so happy for you two!” Miranda said, leaning in and hugging them both. “That’s so wonderful! How long now?” she asked.
“Oh, about a week or so, but the feelings have been there for years, for both of us, so…” Becky said, looking down, blushing and smiling, gently kicking at the empty floor in a bit of bashfulness.
“Well, this is wonderful! Congrats!” Miranda said with a big smile. The hurt was just starting to creep back in. No! Go back!
“Thanks, now, we don’t really want anyone else to know; so far just you know, but when Iz came up with the idea to tell you about us, she accidentally sent a text to Jules instead of me, saying ‘Think we should tell her about us?’ So, while it didn’t say anything out right, still, it’s mysterious.” Becky explained. Just then, Izzy got a text on her phone: it was from Jules. Izzy froze with her eyes on her phone. “What is it, Izzy? Did Jules respond?” Becky asked.
Izzy held up her phone to her, “How do I respond to this?!” Miranda looked at it:
Jules: what about us? tell who? wanna be lesbians or something? ;P~~~
Miranda felt the tears coming again. Was it that easy for Izzy to up and be lesbians with Jules?! ‘Why not me?” Miranda wondered, ’WHY NOT ME?!’
Becky thought a minute, grabbed Izzy’s phone and texted back:
You: tell her that we’re awesome!
She handed it back to Izzy, who read it alongside Miranda.
“Okay, but who is ‘her’ in this case?” Izzy asked. Becky shrugged.
“Doesn’t really matter; who cares if you think you two are awesome? Seems to be a Jules-ish thing to do anyway, doesn’t it?” Becky explained. Miranda laughed nervously to hide her breaking heart. Another text arrived almost immediately:
Jules: i agree, but who is her? audrey?
Becky grabbed the phone again and this time kept it to respond, the other two girls watching over her shoulder:
You: no
Jules: becky?
You: no…
Jules: know what? how about we tell everyone! all of our friends at least!
You: okay, sure, we’ll tell them that we’re awesome
Jules: ~*blush*~ okeeeeeeee!! Cya!
You: cya!
The three girls sighed huge relieve, piling into seats, Miranda facing Becky and Izzy. At least, Miranda felt, Jules wasn’t piling up lovers.
“Well,” Becky started, “damage control complete.” Izzy took her phone back.
“I’m so sorry for that; guess I shouldn’t text with my phone still in my pocket.” Izzy said shyly. Miranda smiled.
“I’m still so happy for you guys. And don’t worry! This monkey takes secrets to the grave!” she said. They all laughed.
“We’re not worried,” Becky started, “that’s why we chose you; feels tons better to finally share it with someone though.”
“Well, you two are very cute together.” Miranda said, eyes watery a little. She thought about her two best friends kissing, paws everywhere, the warmth, the breathing...
“Thanks, Randa.” Izzy said. Miranda shuffled in her seat.
“So… have you two…. you know…” Miranda started, “…done anything to… each other… yet..?” Miranda asked, blushing and leaning forward, eyes peering through fallen hair. Becky and Izzy blushed.
Becky scrunched inward in her seat. “We, uh… yeah… yea, we have…heh…” Miranda casually nodded, looking around the train.
“Like, uh… like what?” she said, bringing her attention back to Becky, who squirmed. Izzy had her legs up against her body, arms wrapped around her knees, looking out the window.
“We’ve… you know… we’ve sorta eaten each other heh…” Becky said. Miranda’s face flushed even more.
“Wow… you’ve actually done that, huh?” she said. Izzy started to look uncomfortable.
“Yeah… well…” Becky trailed off. Izzy spoke up.
“I, uh, haven’t actually, you know, uh, eaten, uh, Becky yet actually…” Izzy said quietly. Becky and Miranda looked at her. The small area they were in suddenly felt a few degrees warmer. Miranda leaned in.
“so, becky ate your pussy?” She whispered. Becky and Izzy's eyes widened.
“ye-yeah…” Izzy choked. The three girls had a look of glee just beneath their blushes. Miranda shuffled in her seat some more. She needed more. This stuff was hot... and it made her feel closer to having a relationship with a girl.
“think i could… um… watch you guys kiss..?” she asked. Izzy and Becky looked at each other. They analyzed each other's eyes and each other's mouths. Izzy's eyes closed and opened slowly, staring at Becky, whose sweet small raccoon mouth quivered then spoke.
"sure."
Izzy stayed quiet. Both girls leaned in towards each other. Mouths looking unsure. The girls' lips came together in a soft crash. They looked almost too timid to raise their arms, just leaning into each other. Their bodies shivered. The kiss broke briefly, but came together again, this time bringing the arms with it. Both girls brought their arms up and grabbed their lovers, Becky cradled Izzy's face with one paw, the other around her shoulder. Izzy reached behind Becky, pulling her closer, the other paw behind her head, gently grabbing at hair.
Miranda sat down, watching with awe, mouth wide open, heavy breathing. The two broke the kiss that lasted forever and pulled away, opening their eyes. They gazed at each other; Becky's lips moist and glistening in the dim light. Becky's eyes went down then quickly shot up. As Becky turned to an enamored Miranda, Izzy hid behind her for a second. The dingo girl sat down and scrunched up her lap cloth to hide it. Miranda was blushing hard, holding her chest.
“damn… that was hot…” The girls all laugh. “you are so lucky.” Miranda said, looking down a bit. Becky leaned in and threw a paw over her shoulder, speaking in a more full voice.
"Aww, you’ll find someone some day, Randa.” Miranda smiled bashfully up at Becky.
They heard the stop for Tavindale was next. The girls deboarded and headed down the street to where Miranda's home came first. They said their goodbyes and parted ways.
Miranda made her way down the street toward her house. She opened her phone: 9:13. Crap, it's past 9, she thought, knowing her mom never wanted her out that late. Maybe she could sneak into her room through the window. She imagined sneaking into her room, giggly, her girlfriend, Jules, in her arms. They'd crawl through the window, landing on her bed, eyes looking into each other. Kissing, holding. The thoughts ran rampant through the little monkey girl as she approached her home.
She felt good still about Becky and Izzy having a relationship, even if it made her own loneliness more obvious, she was happy for her friends. They said they felt better telling someone their secret finally. Would she feel better telling anyone her secret?
The living room light was out. Good, maybe Mom wasn't even awake. Miranda carefully crossed the yard, toward the bushes outside her window. She tried passing between the house and the bushes, but her jacket kept snagging. Drat, that's not an option, at least during the winter. She looked back at the front door. Maybe she could get through. She heard a harsh whisper.
"hey!" Miranda’s blood froze.",
