He kept staring at him for a few seconds and rubbed his head.\n\n\"Have you brought toasts? He felt guilty for not taking into consideration that it was the first time Veemon is doing a scout, and Veemon insist on pushing himself to beyond his limits to not disappoint Gabumon. Gabumon wasn't tired but he did what he thought it would be the best:\n\n\"Whoa Veemon, I'm super tired! I think we should stop and get some rest before continuing, our next checkpoint is not far from here anyways.\"\n\n\"Glad you mentioned that Gabu, I could use some resting.\" Veemon replied in relief, then he pointed west: \"what about we go a little further through this path to get to that hill? Hawkmon once told me there is an amazing waterfall there!\"\n\nThey both proceeded to the hill, Gabumon faded in his own thoughts. He knows that he officially has a crush on Veemon, but he could not let this distraction diverge him from the scout, he must forget what happened last night, at least for the time being; but it is hard to do so when thinking how good it was, in fact it was spectacular, he didn't want to feel naughty about that but he was looking forward to pound that little dragon's ass for a long time. Everything there is wonderful, the breeze is fresh, the trees are majestic, bushy and the sound of the waterfall in the back made everything even more refreshing after such a long day. The bottom of the valley is composed by a lake with turbulent waters due the nearby waterfall, surrounded by the forest.\n\n\"Swimming time!\" said Veemon throwing his backpack aside once they reached the lakeshore.\n\n\"Well, I guess I will stay here watching, you know, it's important that someone keep an eye around here and...\" – Gabumon never finished his sentence, as he is now free falling towards the lake, pushed by Veemon, which was falling with him with a big grim.\n\nThe water is cold, really cold, and since that was not enough, his pelt is once again wet, for the second time in this day. The previous one was due crossing river short after the left the first checkpoint.\n\nOnce recovered from shock, Gabumon looked around to slap Veemon in the face: \"Vee... um? Veemon?\" Gabumon looked around but Veemon was nowhere to be found, the water was agitated and the waterfall noise wasn't helping him to locate Veemon. Gabumon started to worry, what if he got stuck under the water? Both jumped in alert, hearts are rushing, a fight could be imminent.\n\nFrom the shadows of the thick bushes, both Gabumon and Veemon saw someone coming towards them, but as soon as the light cut through the dark of the shadows, a huge digimon got revealed from the entanglement of leaves. The digimon is two meters tall, long and white hair, golden fur, walking in his two foots, wearing just a black jeans and a coat with the same color over his shoulders. His thick tiger face was calm as he holds a twig in the corner of his mouth.\n\n\"Umm, so this is the moment of relaxation for both of you.\", said the mysterious digimon with an annoying indifference.\n\n\"What the hell is that? Who are you!? What is your business here?\" shout Veemon, clearly having an adrenaline rush.\n\n\"He is being following us for a while, since our first checkpoint in the forest, perhaps even before that, Vee\" said Gabumon. \"So, BanchouLeomon, I know you are a peaceful digimon and such but, why are you following us? And why did you decide to reveal yourself now?\"\n\n\"I was wondering if you both would like to join me for a tea, I can explain everything there with more privacy, too many ears around here\" BanchouLeomon replied firmly.\n\nGabumon looked at Veemon, then back to BanchouLeomon. Gabumon wasn't feeling any hazard from this invitation. The surroundings though, now that BanchouLeomon mentioned, was eerily silent, Gabumon didn't hear crickets or birds, just the noise of the waterfall. Gabumon accepted the invitation.\n\nBoth Veemon and Gabumon followed BanchouLeomon through the valley, Gabumon estimated that they have walked for about tree kilometers, when they all spotted a rustic timber cabin sitting the middle of a small glade.\n\n\"Welcome home,\" said BanchouLeomon while stepping in. \"Scout members are always welcome here, it's an honor Gabumon and Veemon, those past battles you fought put the digital world in debt with you. I do everything I can to help.\" continued while holding the door open for Gabumon and Veemon, gesturing them to step in.\n\n* * *\n\nVeemon still suspicious, but Gabumon and BanchouLeomon were chatting and laughing while having tea, all three of them are sitting together in a round wooden table. Fragments of stories from both Gabumon and Banchou were fitting together as they compared facts from each side, which shows that BanchouLeomon had quite important roles in the past, but BanchouLeomon never sough recognition, in fact, Veemon never heard of him. He had to admit, BanchouLeomon rocks, but this tea party out of nothing? That is very unsettling.\n\n\"Would you like more tea, Veemon?\" asked BanchouLeomon.\n\n\"N-no, thanks!\" Veemon quickly replied.\n\nVeemon is not afraid of BanchouLeomon, but he is quite a big fella, buffy, intimidating and, well, hot.\n\nHours later, Gabumon left his chair entertaining the idea to pack his stuff to leave with Veemon, but through the window he realised how late it is, no sunlight anymore. To keep their schedule current, they still have four hours’ worth of hiking to get to the next checkpoint, but making this route in the night was far too dangerous.\n\nVeemon see Gabumon asking Banchou for permission to crash in the cabin. Veemon couldn’t help but notice that BanchouLeomon looked very pleased, nodding as he gave permission to Gabumon. BanchouLeomon had a grim in his face. Although that was strange for Veemon, he trusts Gabumon judgements.\n\n\"Hey BanchouLeomon, would you mind if I use your bathroom?\" asked Gabumon.\n\n\"It's a small shed right outside, take that oil lantern with you, it’s quite dark outside now.\" replied BanchouLeomon.\n\nVeemon is now alone in the living room, sitting in the couch, staring at BanchouLeomon. BanchouLeomon walked across the room towards Veemon, sitting beside him on the couch:\n\n\"Veemon, I want to apologize for following you. Take once, and it last forever and digievolution can happen at will.
