  "description": "Mcdutt's new bird character is having a bit of trouble with a boat she borrowed from some pirates. She had planned on simply flying back, but then the nasty storm came. It raged for a long time.\n\nPose was random, but I kind of like it. Background was a quicky to go with the position. McDutt did the color, though he missed the eyes I think.\n\n-----\n\nThe wind howled, the waves roared, the boat rocked and felt ready capsize any moment. The only occupant tried hard to guide the boat to the distant point of light. It was all she could see in the stormy darkness. Her flagging hopes rose as the light grew. Even the wind seemed to weaken in defeat. The waves softened and she climbed onto the prow, hoping to get a better view.\n\nShe could just make out a small mountain-like rock formation up a nearly empty beach. What might have been trees looked worn and weathered but there were shapes huddled in the darkness around the light. A few even looked female, one cuddled something to itself.\n\nThe bird was about to wave, when the sea waved back first. A massive wave slammed into the boat, pushing it off course. She struggled to keep her balance but she couldn't make it back to shore. The wind gave another howling laugh as it helped the waves push her boat back out to sea. \n\nShe turned her beak back to the glow, eyes sad. Her purple hair rode the wind while her shorter green feathers simply shifted along her body with it. Naked, hungry, stuck in a storm she couldn't fly out of. She finally went back to the cabin and lay down to wait. The boat had lasted a day in the storm, she hoped it would last the oncoming night too.",
