The victim shrinks almost in a reverse chronological order as the plant feeds; every 3 days, the victim appears roughly a year younger. The unfortunate victim retains all of their memories until their brain becomes too small. This victim, however, is an intentional one – the modern court system sometimes sentences small-time repeat offenders to undergo the ultimate rehabilitation: being reduced to a child and being raised to adulthood again, this time with court-appointed guardians who will love the child, but also remain firm and teach him or her right from wrong.
