  "description": "Commissioned this from Soryane way back in 2005.\n\nWe're never truly as independent as we sometimes like to tell ourselves, and there's nothing inherently wrong with that in and of itself. Whether we're introverts or extroverts, however we explore them, the relationships that we form with our fellow social beings in our lives still shape and define us more than any other factor. Sometimes we're the ones who pull on them, sometimes they're the ones who pull on us, and we can't always tell whether we're being pulled up from a cliff or up to a fishing line, but it's always all about who's pulling the strings.\n\nOne moment we're not so sure we want to be having our strings pulled because we're not sure of what's waiting for us at the other end of it. Sometimes we get stuck in a tug of war, being pulled in too many directions at once. But sometimes, when our tiny puppet bodies have been resting on the shelf so long that they've made themselves into voodoo dolls by now, we need that hand to come down on us from above to grab us by the strings, lift us up off our shelf, and make us dance.\n\nExperience teaches us that only non-attachment should be able to release us from suffering, but we're still only human animals after all. Whatever we're made of, we're all deeply interrelated underneath it all, so we make bad little Buddhists in the end. We give ourselves to the lie, and we surrender to attachment.",
