  "description": "Hurok is a character from a homebrew fantasy setting I created. He is an orc, standing six feet tall, with green skin, yellow eyes, pointed ears, a flat nose, small tusks, and clawlike finger and toenails. He began life as a street thug in the coastal metropolis of Valek City, fighting, stealing and whoring. Dying after being wounded in a street brawl, he was happened upon by the wizard Gartrist the Pantologist, who brought the young orc to the Temple of Healing, where his life was saved. Shocked that the Healers wanted nothing in return for saving him, humbled by their kindness toward him, and not wanting to return to the violence of the streets, Hurok asked if he could stay with them and become a Healer, and they accepted.\nHurok belongs to a pacifistic order called Healers who travel the world providing healing to anyone in need in exchange for food and shelter. He wears a white robe and carries a staff with a glowing opal in the head, both of which are symbols of his order. The staff acts like a battery for his powers, and nobody but a Healer can touch it without injury. Hurok can heal wounds and illness simply by touching his patient. The more severe the patient's condition, the more energy is required. Bringing someone back from the brink of death will exhaust him for several hours. He cannot raise the dead, nor can he restore lost limbs or organs.\nBeing a Healer requires one to live a life of complete nonviolence. Hurok cannot harm any living creature, nor can he consume meat. He is, however, permitted to have sex. He is the only orc ever to become a Healer, and frequently encounters prejudice due to his species. Many do not even believe that such a thing as an orc Healer is possible.",
