"Mmm, that was a big meal!" said Scooter, patting his tummy as he walked out of the restaurant with his cubsitter, an adult yellow yoshi. Showtime, as he was called, was looking after the little brown skunkbunny for the day, and they got along so well that Scooter had come to call him "uncle yoshi". Showtime slowed their pace for a while and spoke to Scooter in a lower voice in order to be a bit more private. "Mhmm, it sure was. Are you sure you don't need to go potty now?" This question, although asked in a hushed manner, still made Scooter blush. He was 3 years old, and having a little trouble with learning the potty. As such, he was currently wearing training pants under his sweatpant shorts and carrying a few spares in his backpack, along with a few diapers just in case. "Nuh-uh, I don't gotta potty right now," he said softly, even though just now his very full tummy was saying otherwise. Showtime smiled and ruffled the skunkbunny's headfur. "Ok then, just tell me if you do. Off we go to the mall!" Scooter was so excited, he hopped almost the whole way there. As soon as they entered the mall, which was just across the street, Scooter immediately started looking around for the nearest toy shop. Showtime held Scooter's paw gently, but firmly. "Now Scooter," he reminded him, "don't run off. I gotta keep an eye on you, ok?" Scooter nodded quickly, with a mumbled "yes sir", obviously distracted by a nearby game store with a flashy kiosk advertising the latest games. Showtime followed the little cub's eyes, and smiled as he realised what was catching Scooter's attention. "Go ahead, Scooter. Let's check out that game store," Showtime said with a chuckle. Scooter scampered into the store with Showtime close behind, and headed straight to the "try this game" kiosk. He was immediately drawn in by the vivid colors and simple gameplay. It seemed to be a music focused game, as the cityscape in the background was pulsing to the beat of the soundtrack. Showtime wandered over to a bin full of deeply discounted games and browsed through them, while glancing frequently over to where Scooter was standing. Although Scooter didn't want to admit it, nature was calling and wouldn't be put on hold for much longer. His tail was twitching from the increasing pressure in his tummy, but he tried to focus on the game. He glanced over his shoulder and saw that Showtime was reading the back of a game box at the moment. This was a perfect opportunity, Scooter thought, and turned his attention back to the game he was playing. He squatted slightly and his tail raised up, and he gave a little push while still playing the game demo. In just moments, the pressure was relieved and he sighed, fairly certain that he'd gotten away with it for now. The demo eventually reached it's end and showed the usual "coming soon" teaser video, and Scooter disappointedly put the controller back in it's holder. He walked over to Showtime, as naturally as he could, and stood beside him so he wouldn't get lost. Showtime smiled as Scooter approached, and picked up another game box to read. But as he was reading, he noticed a certain smell... One that he'd smelled before. "Ok kiddo, let's check out the toy store next," Showtime said as he took Scooter's paw and left the store. Scooter nodded and walked with him, smiling innocently. As they walked through the large open hallway of the mall, Showtime saw a nearby bench and decided to stop for a moment to confirm his suspicions. Also, one of Showtime's shoes had come untied, so this was a perfect opportunity anyway. "Actually, Scooter, let's stop here for a bit. Gotta tie my shoe." He led the little cub to the bench and sat down, but Scooter remained standing. Showtime quickly tied his shoe, then gently pulled Scooter close to whisper to him. "Hey kiddo... Need to go potty?" Scooter blushed, and shook his head. He wasn't exactly lying though, since he'd already gone in his pullup. Showtime hmm'd, and gently pulled out on the waistband of Scooter's pants to check his pullup... and saw that there was definitely a big lump in the back. "Oh Scooter... Why didn't you tell me?" Scooter frowned and looked away, not sure how to respond. He looked like he might cry, but Showtime quickly gave him a hug to comfort him. "Aw, it's ok kiddo. I bet it was just an accident, hm? Let's take you to the potty and get you cleaned up, ok?" Showtime spoke in a soothing voice to keep the little cub from crying, and it seemed to work. He stood up, taking Scooter's paw again, and led him to the nearest restroom. As they entered the "family" restroom, Showtime once again asked the little cub: "Do you need to go potty any more?" Scooter blushed, and nodded quickly. "Gotta pee," he mumbled. Showtime led him into the big stall with the fold-out changing table and closed the door. He carefully pulled down Scooter's shorts and pullup, emptying the mess into the toilet. Then, he picked him up and helped him sit down on the big potty. Showtime chuckled softly as he heard the tinkling sounds of the little cub peeing. When Scooter was all finished, Showtime helped him get down from the potty and cleaned him up with some flushable wipes, then let Scooter flush the potty. Showtime looked very serious as he knelt down to have a chat. "Well, Scooter, you know what this means, right?" Scooter pouted slightly as he thought back to earlier in the day, before they'd left for the mall, when he'd agreed that he would go back into diapers if he had an accident. Showtime pulled out a diaper from the backpack and opened up the changing table, then picked Scooter up and laid him down on it. He powdered Scooter generously, applied a bit of baby oil, then taped up the diaper snugly on him. Scooter was smiling big by this point, and Showtime knew that this is what the young skunkbunny really wanted anyway. He gently rubbed Scooter's tummy, making him purr, then picked him up and set him standing on the floor again. He helped Scooter step into his shorts and pulled them up, the bulk of the diaper clearly visible. But Scooter didn't seem to mind. Showtime led Scooter out of the stall, tossed the used pullup in the trash, then they both washed their paws. There was still plenty of mall to explore today.
