She could run faster now through the Jungle with her arms swinging freely. The young girl had always hated gym class for how intense it got but all those hellish marathons seemed to be paying off. Of course, the bigger kids wouldn't let her hear the end of her running off in nothing but her tighty-whities.\n\nChibiusa found a tall that seemed to have a high enough branch that could keep her out of sight and wait out the lurking natives. Once again, gym class came back to her when she began to climb up the tree with nothing but her bare-hands and feet. She slowly but surely got up high enough and sat where the branch met the main tree. She brought her knees up and looked down to find multiple natives trying to find her.\n\nNight fell. Being able to stop at all allowed her to think, even while looking out for her captors. Remembering gym class led her to take stock of her situation and how... unreal it seemed. On any other night, she'd be in her bedroom gossiping on the phone with her BFFs. On any other night, she'd be straining her brain over impossible homework assignments. So many careless moments back home taken for granted.\n\nNow? Her parents were being taken to who knows where. Chibiusa couldn't find her way back to the boat to radio for help. Then there was the Jungle itself. If the islanders didn't capture her, something big and hungry would come for her. She watched plenty of movies to know that much. Would her friends back home know what happened to her if she never came home? Was... home even possible?\n\nNo! Chibiusa shut her eyes if only to get some rest if any. She imagined her father and mother saving her from islanders that nearly get her and take her to the boat bound for civilization. They had to be on their way for her. They just had to. Chibiusa heard a bit of rustling through her nap but took it for a breeze until...\n\n\"Ssssssay now...\" a hissing yet playful voice called out. \"What do we have here?\"\n\nChibiusa snapped her eyes open to see a green python up ahead of her. A talking one at that. Chibiusa was never the sort of girl to find snakes scary so much as gross worm. And a talking snake was par for the course after all she'd been through today. So all she could do was stick out her tongue and blow spittle at the sly looking serpent.\n\n\"Fair ssssskinned and rather precoccccciousssss,\" Kaa hissed while slithering his head around in the air to look Chibiusa all over. \"You're a long way from home, aren't you?\" He giggled with delight over prey so helpless. It simply wouldn't be sport to make her into a midnight snack.\n\nSo... how to make this last?\n\nChibiusa gave such a pout, feeling like she'd been sold to the petting zoo. Chibiusa stretched out her arms as soon as she had finally snapped the ropes around her wrists against a tree's coarse bark. She could run faster now through the Jungle with her arms swinging freely. The young girl had always hated gym class for how intense it got but all those hellish marathons seemed to be paying off. Of course, the bigger kids wouldn't let her hear the end of her running off in nothing but her tighty-whities.
Chibiusa found a tall that seemed to have a high enough branch that could keep her out of sight and wait out the lurking natives. Once again, gym class came back to her when she began to climb up the tree with nothing but her bare-hands and feet. She slowly but surely got up high enough and sat where the branch met the main tree. She brought her knees up and looked down to find multiple natives trying to find her.
Night fell. Being able to stop at all allowed her to think, even while looking out for her captors. Remembering gym class led her to take stock of her situation and how... unreal it seemed. On any other night, she'd be in her bedroom gossiping on the phone with her BFFs. On any other night, she'd be straining her brain over impossible homework assignments. So many careless moments back home taken for granted.
Now? Her parents were being taken to who knows where. Chibiusa couldn't find her way back to the boat to radio for help. Then there was the Jungle itself. If the islanders didn't capture her, something big and hungry would come for her. She watched plenty of movies to know that much. Would her friends back home know what happened to her if she never came home? Was... home even possible?
No! Chibiusa shut her eyes if only to get some rest if any. She imagined her father and mother saving her from islanders that nearly get her and take her to the boat bound for civilization. And a talking snake was par for the course after all she'd been through today. So all she could do was stick out her tongue and blow spittle at the sly looking serpent.
"Fair ssssskinned and rather precoccccciousssss," Kaa hissed while slithering his head around in the air to look Chibiusa all over. "You're a long way from home, aren't you?" He giggled with delight over prey so helpless. It simply wouldn't be sport to make her into a midnight snack.
