Pokémon in the forests were known to kill humans if they weren’t prepared. Of course, a feral child like her was seen as offensive. As if a fragile man cub had a place amongst beings with extraordinary powers.\n\n\n\nThis didn’t stop Sapphire in her goal to become stronger but many close calls nearly did. One such was a Seviper that boldly slithered up and ambushed her with his Fangs bared. Sapphire dodged only for the tail to whip up and loop around her. Three coils clamped down onto her torso and pinned her to the ground.\n\n\n\nOn one end of the coils, Sapphire's legs were only out up to her waist and kicked helplessly. The Seviper tightened his grip around the girl slowly and surely while watching the feet kick, seeming puzzled by such futile attempts at salvation.\n\n\n\nThe Fang Snake Pokemon turned their eyes down to the other end of the coils where Sapphire's head was on full display. Her cheeks were puffed up by the thick coils bracing her neck. With oxygen being squeezed out of her like orange juice, her whole face became blue as the sky. Yet her expression was not one of distress nor despair\n\n\n\nSapphire's brow was knit tight in determination while her mouth was closed tightly. She told herself to act like she was underwater and remember how she learned to hold her breath for multiple minutes. However, diving into water was one thing. Seviper's coils were squeezing her with a painful embrace that wrung out her body.\n\n\n\nSapphire knew that the one chance she'd get was if Seviper was hoping to kill her first before swallowing her whole. If so, she might be able to wait out the constriction until Seviper got frustrated with applying the bare minimum pressure. The snake's hisses seemed impatient enough.\n\n\n\nOn the other hand, what was stopping it from just applying maximum pressure to snuff her out in a second tops? If it was really hungry, it could use enough strength to pop her head off with one coil alone. And if it didn't care how resilient she was, well, Seviper could swallow her alive.\n\n\n\nSapphire forced herself to not even consider that lest she just give up. One way or another, she would live through this hell. She bore the image of that boy in mind. The one that took a rampaging Salamance head-on. The one that got her to push her body and spirit to their limits.\n\n\n\nShe would win.\n\n------\n\nOr would she?\n\nAs the long and large Seviper slithered through the woods near Littleroot Town, the Pokemon that stayed out of its path could almost make out a buldge in its stomach. Almost. It took it to move slowly but surely to indicate that a poor soul had not only been swallowed but alive.\n\n\nSapphire had found herself trading out one prison for another. The Seviper's stomach was a tube of muscle and slime that held her in place. It didn't crush her like the coils but it was tight enough to do the job. Sapphire's bare skin and dirty hair was coated by the stomach juices that made her feel like the Mightyena who licked her all over.\n\n\nSapphire grit her teeth while trying to move her arms and legs apart but she could barely keep the walls from pinning them to her sides. She felt like those plastic dolls packed in a box. The Seviper certainly treated her like one by her standards. Her heart beated with a panicking anxiety.
