Worried more about their pubic image and the story getting leaked beyond the university's school paper, the parents of both girls decided to secretly butter Lucy up with a more then generous amount to pay for all the necessary chemicals, as well as her time and effort for making up the antidote; both parents rightfully assuming that the extra chunk leftover would sooth old wounds between all concerned and thing would be fine once more... after all, a "poor"girl like Lucy had never even SEEN such a huge amount of money in all her life..  and so many secrets can be permanently buried with enough cash, at the source, to ensure total long-lasting silence.  They even threw in a bit of a bonus in that if Lucy never again talked of this incident, pretty much pretending it never had happened at all, then once the girls bodies were back to normal, they'd take care of her remaining bills that she would need to submit proper documented proof to them directly for such, for the rest of her stay at the university till she graduated.  No questions asked.   The parents knew Lucy had an iron-clad case against their daughters and they figured this was the best way to guarantee that nothing would ever come of it again.

.... they were very very wrong, having not even contended with the idea that their two spoiled daughters would take it far beyond the peaceful agreement that the parents had reached with Lucy and the university authorities.

Even well after their parents had finalized the deal both girls waited for the right time to get back at Lucy for what she did to them.. They were patient for well over half a year, plotting the perfect moment.. and it came when she was working on her last final's project for her graduation.. a new adhesive formula that would make the legendary "Duct Tape" adhesive (that was supposedly a heavily guarded corporate secret)  seem like kindergarten fun paste.
 Lucy had worked long hours slowly figuring out what the basic formula was and after a number of tests, she was completely sure she'd duplicated it. When Lucy woke up, she was in the county hospital.. her body covered in wrappings and such to both take care of the small cuts and injuries from the flying glass and shattered plastic as well as some very minor electrical burns.  She was told that the college faculty would be notified that she'd woken up and she asked how long she'd been out.. they told her about five days.
