Chapter 6
Greg was enjoying his dinner while he looked at the sleeping pair in his bed. He had hoped they would really connect today and they did that.
‘just to get Kevin to open up to Evan and my work is complete’
Just as Grey finished his thought the door opened and Charles and Dexter entered.
“good work rescuing Charles, Dexter”
Dexter just nodded and took a seat on the couch.
“boss I am sorry that I got captured by that crazy chick”
“no need to be sorry, she got the jump on you. Just don’t let it happen again”
“yes sir, wait a minute why are those 2 in your bed…”
“Don’t even”
“Okay boss, but I know you swing that way probably why they put us all on same team”
“2 gays and 3 Bi guys on the same team. Grandpa sure knew what he was doing when he assigned my members.”
“haha funny. You must be forgetting we have one girl on the team.”
Just then the front door swung open and an Angry cheetah walked in.
“CHARLES YOU IDIOT” Kaila said as she approached Charles and slapped him. “YOU LET SOME GIRL GET THE DROP ON YOU! HOW DID SHE EVEN GET YOU!”
“Kaila calm down.”
“I AM FREAKING CALM!”
“Kaila calm down” grey said staring at the angry cheetah
“yes sir”
“Grey you have to teach me that trick; I really want to know how you always calm her down”
“being forceful works wonders for me”
“Charles. I still wanna know how that girl got you!”
“she is has spore; she used her knock out spores and her truth spores on me.”
“Spore huh, she sounds like a girl worth fighting.”
“cat fight!?”
“what do you care about 2 girls fighting your gay.”
“that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a girl on girl all out brawl.”
“Alright calm down you 2!” “yes boss” Kaila and Charles took their seats while Dexter just eyed the open door to the bedroom.
“What you looking at Dexter?” Kaila asked adjusting herself to see into the bedroom.
“Boss! Did you really let them-“
“NO, will you guys stop thinking that”
“then why are they in your bed sleeping together”
“because I made them do it”
Everyone in the room just paused for moment to let that last statement sink in
“by it do you mean?”
“NO, I said stop thinking that!”
“then you made them get together?”
“yes,”
“your very controlling you know that”
“Kaila I don’t like where you are going with this conversation so I am ending it”
“you’re the boss”
“ok now let me brief you on the latest details of squad C”
While Grey addressed his squad Bruce and Nico had left the dining and went to his office for further discussion. Ben followed them but was told to keep quiet and not mention anything that he heard.
“Alright Nico! I heard the story but now what are you going to do about this?”
“Bruce this is one time I don’t have an answer for you”
“your son is here in this city how do you plan on finding him”
“If I may? Nico doesn’t need to find him. Grey has already made it clear that conflicts between his squad and ours are going to happen a lot especially after what Kate did to them. I am sure Evan will probably come to attack us now that he knows Nico is here.”
“but what to do when he gets there is the problem”
“he is my son I should be the one to deal with him!”
“Nico how are you going to do that. From all accounts he can shoot lighting and from what you told us about him being a mutant he can take more injuries than anyone else here”
“I have to find a way Bruce. I gave up on finding him I should’ve known that the Cantonole took him”
“they do a good job of tricking you”
“I am sorry that my own personal problems got in the way-“
“Nico I told you to stop that thinking. I don’t want us to be like how are our parents ended up. You are my friend and my Right hand man.”
“Bruce remember when I said that I would do anything to keep you safe?”
“I said just don’t give up yourself doing it. I made you promise no matter what unlike your dad you wouldn’t give up something so important to you to save me”
“I guess I broke that promise”
“Nico what will you do now”
“the only thing I can do. Help your kids train for the upcoming battle my best chance to meet Evan again would be if Ben got control of the Cantonole”
“Wait what!”
“Nico is right Ben. You now have another reason to win the upcoming fight.”
“still!”
There was a knock on the door
“who is it?” Bruce answered
“Taylor sir, there was a message for Master Ben.”
“for me? What did the message say?”
“someone called Grey said to meet him at the Entrance gate at 11pm”
“Grey? Your cousin?”
“yep, dad I have to go to this meeting” Ben turned his gaze to Nico “alone”
“ok but 11 is kind of late”
“no worries I don’t think he is going to pull anything but just in case I will bring my sword”
“that doesn’t make feel better about this”
In the Medical wing the grandparents were talking with their only husky grandchild. Silver was still unconscious and not expected to wake up for a few days. His system took a big hit when he got struck by lightning at least 14 times. Marie was next to Kate who had just regained consciousness.
“How you feeling there Kate”
“fine ms. vague”
“it’s mrs. Minefell now dear”
“when did you get married?”
“15 years ago”
“well I should say I am not surprised that I wouldn’t recognize the famous red violet”
“Kate how deep are you into this mess”
“deeper than you guys are, WAY deeper than you guys are”
“Kate tell me how do you know about the Cantonole?”
“about 25 years ago my Father a young FBI agent got wind of a plan that disturbed him. It was a Cantonole slave ship moving cargo from Southern America to the Caribbean and then to Europe making it seem legal by paying off the government’s down there. My father began to investigate and he blew their operation wide open. The Cantonole were mad to say the least”
“I remember him your Father really put my dad is a bad mood back then.”
“Well my dad didn’t stop there. He blew open at least 5 more Slave routes the Cantonole used to get their victims into countries legally. The Cantonole was getting mad so to protect himself my Dad went undercover as a rogue agent and started doing everything he could to undermine the Cantonole. As you can guess he is one those outside the Cantonole that could use their powers and abilities.”
“a rare trait outside the Clan families”
“what was strange was that my Father developed his to the point he could fight Knight level assassins”
“Knight level? That takes some skill even I have trouble with those”
“well after he defeated 3 Knight level assassins my Father earned the attention of the Boss. Your father, he personally hunted my father down but failed to capture him until He found out about a girl my father fell in love with.”
“your mother right?”
“yes and that is when they dragged me into project H”
“I guess it happened around the same time they dragged the boys into this”
“yes but in my case they used project H to manipulate my Father. They held me as a hostage but to anyone who wasn’t inside it just looked like I was a young girl born into the Cantonole family.”
“So how did having you affect your father?”
“they gave my father no choice but to help them re-establish their slave routes”
“revenge for what he did?”
“yes and my father felt so bad about it but what could he do but accept his fate. After a few years he gained the boss’s trust. The boss thought my father had turned into one of his loyal followers even promoted him to King rank”
“your father was a King ranked?”
“he was. He used his free time to train me in using my powers. That is why I am so much more advanced than the others. But when I was 6 it happened”
“one of the 6 Generals got wind of a plan to bust the Cantonole wide open. My father had put together enough evidence to bring an army in on the Cantonole and he was about to use when they set him up to die in a fight between them and another family”
“I heard rumors of that”
“When they told me how my father died. I was sad and confused I thought the Cantonole were my family until I learned the truth. My father left me a letter detailing everything that happened along with some files but at time he had already gotten me out the Cantonole’s personal island and living with my Uncle so I never saw him.”
“why didn’t they come after you?”
“they had no need for me then they just needed to monitor my progress. My uncle also had some powers like my dad so he continued training until I was 8. Soon I met you and Ben and I surprised when I realized Ben was in the files my father left for me from an earlier picture. About 2 years ago I started night lining as young super hero with the masked munk. It was a good cover but the Cantonole knew it was me. What they didn’t know was that I used that cover to investigate them while they thought I was just playing super hero with my powers”
“what did you uncover?”
“from my father’s files I found the location of one of their hideouts and got the name of a few of their projects. One in particular scared me. It was code named project seed. And from what I seen of it so far its dangerous.”
“how dangerous?”
“the seed is like a computer chip in someone’s brain but one produced by using control of life force. It is spread by someone who can control its power in Nev city Kevin was the person who spread around. He could even control the seed once he got into a person’s mind.”
“Wait your Kevin?”
“yes our Kevin. I don’t know why he and Ben had that huge fight but when I found out Kevin was part of this plot I decided to tail him a few times and I found a member of his squad and captured him. He told that the tree was located at the basement of Hollywood tower. When I tried to get there his boss jumped me and tied me up”
“you were lucky he didn’t kill you.”
“I wasn’t lucky he knew killing me would result in trouble for him with ben on his way”
“he knew?”
“He also knew that once ben arrived he would be releasing me”
“So why did he capture you?”
“he just wanted to make sure I didn’t see the tree I really want to know why he didn’t want me to see it”
“I can answer that!”
The girls turned to see Chondro there being held up by his Grandfather.
“Kate the tree. I saw it. But it was strange.”
“strange how? Chondro tell me!”
“there was a face on it the face of feline.”
“did he have a weird bulge on his nose?”
“he did it was kinda weird like a small horn on his nose”
“that was my dad. They must have used him to create the seed”
“makes sense Kate. From what you said your dad must have had great power to reach King level.  If they used his body to create the seed that would make it powerful enough to enter anyone whose doesn’t have Cantonole abilities”
“that would explain why we aren’t being affected by it but what about Nico?”
“He has immunity from it because his connections to project YY”
“I remember reading about that project. Project YY became the second half of Project H”
“second half?”
“mrs. Minefell can you gather everyone up tomorrow I will explain.. everything” Kate said falling back asleep.
“She must have had a rough day.” Marie giggled
“Grandpa thanks for the help”
“no problem my boy but now you have finished your business with Kate shall we get you back to your room”
“okay” The 2 left for Chondro’s room
“glad to see that are getting to know their grandkids but I can’t help but think Chondro is their favorite” Marie just moved to Silver’s medical room to check on his condition.
At Hollywood tower Squad D’s meeting had just concluded it was a long one.
Evan and Kevin woke up about half way through the meeting and dawned some bath robes to join the meeting. Grey did most of the speaking telling them of how they would handle some upcoming events and what to expect from him. Charles being kidnapped was the main point of concern. Kate had gotten the best of the skunk and it really brought some things into focus for them. 
“well that concludes what I had for you all tonight” Grey said getting up and stretching 
“about time boss you kept me here so long if I was a normal girl I would have trouble getting home”
“Kaila there are only a few people in this area that aren’t under our control I am sure you will have a safe trip home but if you still feel uneasy I shall escort you to the car waiting down stairs”
“jeez Boss learn to take a joke but I would love the company!”
Dexter and Charles began to strip down while Grey and Kate headed for the door.
“hey why are you 2 taking of your clothes?”
“because we are going to prepare for bed” Charles snickered ‘as if we are going to sleep anytime tonight’
“wait why do they get to spend the night?”
“the boss arranged something special for the boys tonight”
“I know I am the only girl on the team but leaving me out is just plain rude and sexist!”
“Kaila 5 gay teenage boys in one apartment to themselves what do you think we are about to do” Evan and Kevin just smiled prepared to disrobe but stopping before actually doing it to tease Kaila a bit
“BUT THE BOSS SAID-“
“I said I wouldn’t let them do it before everyone got here. Sorry if I mislead you Kaila.”
“but… but… oh I give up. Have fun guys” Kaila left the apartment 
“You can start without me I will be back in a an hour or so”
“okay later boss” Charles said already down to his underwear.
Grey left the apartment and entered the elevator with Kaila
“you didn’t have to follow me”
“I didn’t have to, but I did”
“Grey I don’t think I am cut out to be part of your squad”
“Kaila why would you even think that?”
“Because I don’t fit in. I am the only girl around in a squad of gay guys”
“what difference does that make really?”
“I can’t be a part of your … um ‘exercises’”
“Those are for the boys.”
“I know you guys have been doing this for a while now even before our involvement in the contest was announced. I was just surprised when I got put on your squad.”
“My older siblings already have their 7 man squads ready for the contest. We still haven’t gotten our 7th member. Kaila I know you feel left out because of what the boys do on occasion but do you remember when our antics got us caught in Central America.”
“you guys were acting like idiots that entire mission. I had to bail you guys out of that jail.”
“the only reason we finished half of those missions was because you were there to be the voice of reason.”
“I know I am needed to keep everyone in line but it is still sometimes so hard to fit in with them.”
“Kaila if you ask any of them they will say that you’re the second in command. The rest of them respect you more than you know and they value you on the team.”
“How do you know that”
“because last time we at get together we all talked about how great it was having you on the team. You need to realize Kaila no matter may go on between the boys you are still our team mate and we can’t win the contest without you.”
Ding! The elevator had reached the first floor and they both left the building.
“I guess I was just being a little jealous. It is hard being the only girl on the team but I think I can manage it.”
“Kaila tomorrow why don’t you go out with your friends.”
“well I don’t know about skipping training and with Charles just being kidnapped and all”
“Kaila. As your boss I am telling you take the next week off. I don’t need to see you at training or at any meetings!”
“wait a week?”
“am I clear?”
“yes sir.”
“good now here is your car remember 1 week off. The rest of the squad will be taking a week off too. Instead of training and missions I think we should relax and catch our breath this week.”
“Okay grey I don’t know what you have planned but I think I am going to spend next week at the spa with a few friends.”
“excellent good night Kaila.”
“night boss.”
The car Kaila entered drove off and made its way to her home.
‘We need to relax now because I know this meeting won’t bring good news’
Grey looked around and noticed a clock on an adjacent building it said 10:58
“time to go”
Grey began sinking into the ground like he normally did then disappeared.
The clock in the guard station said 11:00 and ben was eagerly waiting for Grey
‘I wonder what he wants now’
Grey emerged from the ground next to ben scaring the blue wolf senseless.
“jeez do you scared me Grey”
“I do apologize for that I ran late taking care of some business”
“I don’t even want to know. Now why did you call me so late?”
“For a meeting with me and grandfather”
“grandfather?”
Then a flash of light appeared before the 2 wolves and a figure of their grandfather formed.
“good night Grey glad you were able to make it… and I see you brought Ben with you.”
“we both need some answers and after we met today I felt he needed to know more”
“Well I guess I better get down to business. You 2 are at a serious disadvantage to the other squads that will be entering this contest. Your squads only have 6 members at the moment and you have yet to find the 7th”
“wait 7th? I thought the squads were made up of 6?”
“Ben I told you last time. The folder you received was a fake folder intended just to let you know who your members were. The squads are originally comprised of 6 members but they must add a 7th member in order to be recognized”
“so I have to a find a 7th member. I just found my 6th”
“she was always there Ben you just didn’t know it”
“still!”
“stop grumbling and let him finish ben”
“grr… okay”
“The 7th members are already here in Nev city you 2 just have to find them.”
“that is what this meeting was about finding our 7th members.”
“yes originally I did plan to address Charles being taken”
Grey felt a cold sweat come over him
“but I realize now it was Kate. This should make things interesting. Good luck to you both.”
Victor then disappeared
“you know him better than I do is he always this strange?”
“no, normally he is stranger”
“that scares me so much”
“well I got to go. I knew grandpa would announce that we needed one more member but I think it would be better if both our squads searched for them.”
“I agree so can we call a truce?”
“well you and I can but Kaila is adamant about fighting Kate. Evan wants to kill his father. And of course Kevin utterly loathes you”
“… So it is true Kevin a member of your squad”
“I guess kate never told you then”
“she hasn’t”
“I don’t know what you did to Kevin but what ever happened nearly broke him.”
“I… know what happened is mostly my fault but I just can’t apologize to him over it”
“He has not once said what happened. And I suspect you haven’t said anything either”
“it is between me and him no one else”
“funny those were his exact words. I think there is more behind this story than meets the eye.”
“and your eye should stay clear of it.”
“maybe I should but I am certain it will come to light soon.”
“if you want to believe that it will that is your problem”
“I should get going have to pick up a few things to make up for missing the start of the party with the boys.”
“that sounded a little gay”
“a little? Every boy on my squad is bi or gay so-“
“faggots!”
Grey just stared at Ben
“I never would have pegged you for the homophobic type.”
“No one did. So what of it?”
“That attitude might hurt your squad dearly”
“hurt mine? Won’t being faggots hurt your squad more?”
“watch your language ben. I might start taking offence to it.”
“well frankly I don’t care anymore. I just don’t like being around fags like you”
“You should watch it ben. I can care to venture more than one of your squad will be a ‘faggot’”
“how do you know?”
“simple. My father explained to me a while ago that a few side effects of the drugs used on the second half of the project were increased chances of the offspring being a male and that the males were more likely to be attracted to other males.”
“OH GREAT! I WAS PART OF PROJECT THAT ALSO PRODUCED MORE FAGGOTS! JUST GREAT!” 
“hmph! I think your attitude might just end up breaking your squad apart. Ben you better lose it. I can guarantee that at least 1 of your members will be bi or gay. On second thought all of them might be.”
“… I really don’t like this. But whatever. I see you around grey. “
“Good night Benjamin”
“No one calls me that!” Ben yelled but behind him there was no one
‘Dang it. If what he said is true then my squad is going to issues if the rest of them find out about Kevin.’
Ben just sulked and made his way home. ‘Is what Grey said true my attitude might cost me more than just my best friend? Did project H really have such weird side effects?’  Ben’s thoughts just kept repeating themselves and before he knew it he was already entering his home.
“Welcome back. Did anything interesting happen?” Asked Bruce who waited for Ben to return 
“Some stuff happened between me and Grey nothing really important. However grandpa told me that my squad is going to need a 7th member that we have to find. They live somewhere here in the city I just don’t know how to find them.”
“so there is another member of project H in the city right now?”
“No there are 2 of them.”
“2? is the other squad is going to be searching for them?”
“yea but I called a Truce with grey until we find these 2 and sort things out”
“a truce really?”
“it is between squad leaders not the members so I still expect things to happen just not ordered by him”
“can’t let your guard down now”
“BEN!” Marie yelled while entering the room
“YES MOM!” Ben yelled back
“I just got off the phone with Pastor Thomas he and his son are in town for a few days and would like to see you”
“Wait pastor Thomas!? I haven’t heard from him a while.”
“who is pastor Thomas.”
“He was the pastor a Church I went to when we lived in the Caribbean.”
“you lived in the Caribbean?”
“for about 4 years. It was before we moved back here.”
“Bruce, he was a really good friend and sometimes Ben would have to stay at their place while I was out of town trying to throw some people off our tracks”
“I can’t believe I get to see them again.”
“Well they will be here first thing tomorrow morning”
“sweet.”
“now off to bed with you!”
“wait why?”
“it’s 11:30 you should have gone to bed a long time ago”
“Mom I am not a baby I don’t-“
Ben stopped when he saw the look on both his mom and dad’s face.
“Okay I am going to bed good night!”
Ben rushed off to his room to get ready for bed.
“Wonderful boy you raised. He seems to be able to get the message without the yelling.”
“Bruce. I am worried about something very worried!”
“worried about what?”
“ben I planted on bug on him before he went to that meeting with Grey.”
“you spied on him too?”
“wait you put a bug on him as well?”
“sure did. Am I am bit stunned I never took Ben for the Homophobic type, frankly he doesn’t strike me as religious.”
“Ben is a special case but what I am afraid of what Grey said.”
“well I know for a fact that at least one of our sons experimented with it before”
“which one?”
“Ryker. I caught him and Rintin kissing on tape a few years ago”
“… I would never even guessed that”
“me neither but I haven’t pressed the issue since it was a one-time thing”
“I hope ben doesn’t mention any of this around pastor Thomas.”
“why?”
“pastor Thomas has a history of getting violent”
“violent? A pastor gets violent? And you let ben hang around him?”
“he was a good role-model when he was sane anyway: when he wasn’t all out against something he was friendly courteous and kind”
“sounds like that one had issues”
“tomorrow will present some challenges.”
At 12:30 Grey arrived back into his apartment much to his displeasure it seems his missed the fun. His squad was already asleep in different positions with their clothes thrown all over the room. Kevin and Evan were cuddled up in a sleeping bag on the right of his bed while Charles and Dexter were in their own on the other side.
‘guess they had fun. But my fun will start tomorrow.’ Grey just smiled as he stripped down to his underwear and got into bed.
‘I have a feeling I know who the 7th member for my squad is but trying to convince is going to take something new and drastic.’ He pulled his covers on ‘ I hope the boys don’t mind giving a little show.’ Grey thought to himself before falling asleep. 
Before anyone knew it the night had turned to day and everyone was slowly getting up.
Training had been called off due to how many were in the medical wing so everyone slept in except for ben who was up and eagerly waiting at the gate for the arrival of his friend.
As it hit 7:55 on ben’s watch he saw a red convertible approached him in it 2 raccoons. The older looked like a typical raccoon but with Orange hair medium kept hair. He had on a Hawaiian t-shirt and shorts. The boy had different features. His fur mask was light blue to match his paws and his hair. He wore a t-shirt with the words hunt on it and brown cargo pants.
When they stopped the younger raccoon jumped out quickly and ran up to Ben
“Ben how you been?”
“great? How about you Dale”
“I been doing good”
“wow you live here? I guess your mom won the lottery”
“No turns out my dad is a billionaire”
“Lucky”
“I hope that money is not going to your head. You should remember what I taught you about greed” The older raccoon said 
“hello pastor Thomas”
“hello to you to Ben”
“where is your mother?”
“in the medical wing a few of my brothers are sick.”
“I am guessing she had another baby then how hold is he or she?”
“they are all 14 same age as me”
“they?”
“I have 3 brothers all born at same time”
“I didn’t know she had quadruplets”
“neither did I until last week actually”
“getting along with them well?”
“yep!”
Thomas’s phone gave a rang and he answered. After talking to whoever was on the phone he turned to ben again.
“Ben your mother said we can have you for the day as long as we get you back by 6 so why don’t we head over to the beach. I have a coupon for a free breakfast at RG’s.”
“Okay let’s go”
Everyone got into the car and it sped off.
“So ben what are your brothers like?”
“they are super fun. Still don’t know them all that well though been just over a week since we met each other”
“I can’t believe how much things have changed for you since you moved back here”
“plenty has changed… Thomas can you stop the car and pop the hood for a second?”
“sure but may I ask why?”
“watch this” Ben got out of the back seat and pulled a certain Silver wolf out of the trunk.
“How did you get in there young man”
“Dale, Thomas meet one of my Brothers silver.”
“I would say nice to meet you but I really want to know how you got into our car?”
“He snuck in while I was on the phone. I did notice him but I said what’s the harm”
“dad you didn’t say anything”
“He didn’t need to. Now Silver aren’t you supposed to be in the Medical wing resting?”
“I … needed to get away from grandpa and grandma. They were all over me about something I said”
“what did you say?”
“I can’t repeat it”
“… Silver you are insane”
“blame the medicine”
“Ben is your brother coming along with us?”
“guess so but when we get home mom and dad are going to chain you to your bed”
“I think I am more afraid of what Grandpa would do” Silver just gulped while everyone else just laughed after they stopped laughing everyone got in the car and made their way down to the beach. They got out at Ramsey beach and went to eat breakfast. 
At the same time approaching the beach were the boys of squad C but they lacked something. They lacked their clothes. They were all naked with everything out and showing and it showed some recent use.
“Okay early today Kevin tried to do a search on persons in the city who aren’t affected by the seed. Since the person we are looking for is immune to it we can easily tell that they will react to seeing us like this.”
“hate to be the downer here but we could have done something else instead of going naked”
“why are you complaining Charles you rather enjoyed what we did in that Dinner!” Kevin asked
“I did but what if we find some tourist instead of our 7th member?”
“Charles the seed is highly infective it will attach itself to anyone who comes anywhere near this area. We don’t have to worry there should only be a handful of people who will react to seeing us like this.” Grey said with a smirk 
“at best I can tell there are 2 persons who the seed has not attached to around here.”
“ok split into 3 groups Kevin you go with Evan while Dexter and Charles shall continue up to end of the beach. I shall try to navigate my way around the center of the beach radio if anything happens.”
The boys then split up their separate ways.
Ben and Dale were having fun out in the ocean doing some swimming while Silver was just building a sand castle and Thomas was sitting there just sun bathing. All was peaceful until Thomas caught a glimpse of 2 boys walking through the crowd at the beach.
“and what abomination is this?” Thomas said getting up and heading over to the boys when he did it caught the attention of Dale.
“Ben what is wrong with this city?”
“what do mean Dale”
“look those 2 boys over there are kissing totally naked and no one is even noticing them or saying anything”
“except your dad! And wait a minute” ben realized who the 2 boys were now
“Dale we have to stop your dad. If he tried to speak out against those 2 he is as good as dead”
“is that why no one is paying attention to them?”
“that is because of something different but let’s go C’mon”
Dale and Ben tried to get out the water was fast as they could to stop Thomas but it was futile Thomas was about to open the cage to the lion’s den.
“WHAT DO YOU KIDS THINK YOU ARE DOING”
“I am kissing him. Got a problem with that?” Evan asked
“I SURE GOT A PROBLEM WITH IT. THAT IS DISTASTEFUL AND IMMORAL YOU 2 SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSEVLES”
“I should be ashamed of myself. Haha very funny. I guess you are one of those religious nuts that are always lashing out at anyone who opposes you”

“well care to try and stop it” Evan got up and started sparking his right paw
“DEMON! I HAVE THE POWERS OF THE HOLY” Thomas used his right part to form a blade of light
“Ev! Wait this could be the guy!’
“it can’t be kev! The person we looking for would be 14… Hey misters do you have a son around age 14?”
“WHAT DO YOU WANT WITH MY SON? TO CORRUPT HIM WITH YOUR SINFUL WAYS I DON’T THINK SO!”
“just answer me is he 14 or not”
“he is but he will ever associate himself with demons like you”
“we will just see about that”
Evan shot a bolt at Thomas who blocked it with the blue blade in his hand
“Not bad old man”
Evan moved back a bit while Kevin ordered the beach to be cleared. In a few seconds the beach was clearing out but this had drawn the attention of Silver who saw a chance for revenge.
“You kids are demon offspring aren’t you. I shall soon rid this world of you”
“try it”
Evan shot a rapid succession of bolts from his hand but Thomas used his blade to deflect them all
Kevin had snuck around behind Thomas and was about to deliver a fireball to his back when Silver jumped in front of him
“Hello. Again”
“Silver! I never expected to see you on your feet so soon”
“I took less damage than you thought yesterday”
“still something to get back to full strength in one day but I have a feeling your still a little weak”
“I may be weaker than I was before but I am still strong enough to beat you… WAIT why are you naked?”
“Just a test”
Silver found himself staring up and down the naked otters body and staring even more so at his package.
“Seems like your trying to keep something down silver”
“I am…” silver could feel his face turn red with blush. He could never battle like this so Kevin took the opportunity to strike him with a fireball
“ARG!” silver said screaming out in pain. He had dodged most of the fireball but it still burnt his chest a little.
“Seems like someone is distracted today”
“not every day I have to fight a naked otter on the beach.”
“fair enough but if you don’t get your act together things will start going real wrong for you” Kevin formed a fireball in his hand this time and threw it at silver.
Silver dodged it as best he could but he was too distracted and got burnt again
“dang it!”
“for someone who got promoted from Rookie assassin you sure are making a lot of rookie mistakes”
Silver clenched his fist. He was a highly trained assassin why was this otter’s nudity affecting him so much.
“What the-“ Kevin said as he knocked back and sent flying into the sand
Silver looked and saw Dale there with his paws out in front of him giving off smoke.
“Silver you ok?”
“I am fine. What about you?”
“Oh this, just a little power to fight evil or so my dad says anyway”
“We better stop him now before he gets really hurt that fox is no one to joke around with.”
“my dad is strong he won’t lose”
Evan was continually blasting bolts of lightning towards Thomas who was deflecting them all but it was getting difficult.
Thomas was panting hard while Evan hadn’t even broken a sweat
“I will not be defeated by a demon like you”
“Ah! Keep calling me that and I might actually get serious”
Evan this time sent the bolt of electricity straight into the air where is spilt into 5 bolts that crashed down on Thomas and caused a small explosion on impact.
When the sand settled Thomas was clearly hurt.
“I have to say that was fun”
“Well here is some more fun for you”
“what the-“ Evan said as Ben was appeared behind him with his sword. Ben swung his sword and used the sand to create a sand storm that blew Evan away
“Flash sword: Gust Slash” Ben said and then sheathed his sword.
“wait why was he naked!?”
Ben asked then rushed over to Thomas who was still on the ground moaning.
“you ok Thomas?”
“I felt better.”
“where are those 2 abominations.”
“well they are over there and there” ben pointed to Kevin who he could see was buried in the sand
“I shall end this. This world will better off without them”
Thomas formed his blade and made his way over to Evan
“PASTOR STOP!”
“I must do this Ben. These evil kids must be punished for their travesty”
“Pastor I will not allow you to kill him.” Ben said drawing his sword
“Are you defending them ben? I taught you that defending a sinner was a horrible thing to do”
“you did but I can’t let you hurt them like you did to your wife!”
“she was insulting me with actions she had it coming”
“she was still your wife you had no right to instigate her death and no right to involve me or Dale in it”
“You did the right thing by helping to punish her”
“WE did no such thing. We help beat a woman to death because you ordered us to. Lately I have met some evil persons but you by far are the worse. You claim to be good only when it suits you. You preach out against things and tell person to be against them too. I have lost all respect for you”
“WELL I CERTAINLY DID TEACH YOU RESPECT BUT SINCE YOU FORGOT I WILL TEACH IT AGAIN” Thomas raised his blade and dashed towards ben who readied himself. Silver and Dale were screaming at Thomas to stop when a Grey appeared out of nowhere and caught the blade
“you should stop now before I get really angry”
“Another one? You will meet the same fate as-“
Grey had stuck his hand right through Thomas’s chest but it didn’t pierce it, it went through it like the hand of a ghost
“Right now I am holding your heart. If you say one more word I won’t hesitate to kill you right now”
“GO ahead DEMON I AM NOT AFRAID TO-“
“die” Grey said as he squeezed and destroyed Thomas’s heart.
Thomas mouth filled with blood and he dropped down as grey pulled his ghost like hand out of Thomas
“DAD! DAD!” Screamed a panicked Dale
“Grey WHY DID YOU KILL HIM!?” ben asked sounding furious
“why wouldn’t I kill him before he killed my friends”
“you didn’t have to!”
“I sure did. I was not going to give him a chance to use all of his powers”
“what!”
“Ben I got a vision just like you get! I saw him standing over 5 dead bodies. One of which was yours!”
“he would have never killed me!”
“Yes he would. He was about to do it. This man was possessed!”
“still you had no right to end his life he… didn’t deserve this!”
“He had it coming. He wouldn’t have hesitated to kill even that kid there because he got in the way.”
“Thomas would never-“
“BEN! Stop defending him.”
“huh Dale? WHY NOT?”
“my father was not as righteous as he lead people to believe. He arranged things to happen to certain people and sometimes he would even attack them himself. He had my mom killed because she was thinking of leaving him for an atheist!”
“I knew about what happened to your mom but I still don’t think anyone should lose their life like that”
“Ben, you better lose that softness or it may come back to bite you!”
“or it will save me from doing something I regret… WAIT WHY ARE YOU NAKED!”
Grey blushed a bit
“I was going skinny dipping with my squad members!”
“at a public beach! I know no one would mess with you guys but that is taking it a little too far”
“be quiet.”
“… I really don’t understand you at all!”
“never will and besides you have only known me for a day. Kevin! Evan! We are leaving”
“yes sir” Kevin and Evan had gotten up and dusted themselves off
“later Ben!” Grey said as he transported Kevin Evan and himself out
“that kid is strange!” Dale said 
“I am sorry I didn’t stop him Dale.”
“It might be for the best I think my father was going to have me killed when we got back home.”
“what makes you think that?”
“I had a boyfriend and some members of the church beat him to death last week”
“wait what!”
“I think my father may have been on to me so I recommended this vacation to try and avoid the heat of what had happened”
“Please don’t say grey was right to kill him”
“he might not have been right but he saved all of us” Silver said finally gathering himself back up with a few burn marks on the fur on his chest
“Dale what are you going to do then?”
“can I stay with you for a while until I find out what they are going to do with me?”
“sure” before the kids could react a set of suited men approached them.
“Dale Thomas will you please come with us!”
“why?”
“our boss would like to have a word with you and your friends”
Dale and Ben were escorted into a car while Silver remained to wait for his dad to come
They were put into a jeep that was accompanied by 2 more and then were driven a few blocks to an office building.
When they got there Dale and Ben were ushered to the top floor. They were brought into an office where a Female chipmunk waited for them.
“take a seat boys”
Dale sat down but Ben decided he would rather stand
“I know what went down on the beach today and I think I can help.”
“help how?” Dale asked
“these were adoption forms a few members of your church got your father to unknowingly sign before your trip here”
“what!? Who would do that?”
“the ones who left because of what your father had some of the members do recently”
“what my father had…” Dale just sulked trying not to remember what his father had ordered his members to do
“Exactly a few of them knew that you were in danger and were trying to get you out of there so one of them contacted me. I had them get your father to sign these unknowingly and was planning to have him held up at the airport until I could get these papers fully approved. Needless to say after today’s incident I don’t think this will be an issue anymore. But I will tell you that you won’t be going home. Your dad’s followers have already found about your relationship and will beat to death if you ever set foot back home.”
“I was afraid of what would happen if my father found out guess he knew already and was just waiting for our vacation to end”
“he was I am so sorry about your father Dale but from what your mother always told me you and him did not have the best relationship.”
“you knew my mother?”
“I did your mother was an old friend of mine. Before she died she sent me a letter from the hospital. She knew her injuries were too severe so she had a nurse write a letter for her. It said she was afraid that her husband was going to continue to abuse his power and get people hurt or worse. She was also afraid for what he would do to you now that she was gone. She asked me to find a way to look over you.”
“My mom really said all that?”
“she did and so did some members of the church who stayed only to keep an eye on your and I am sure you know who they are”
“the sisters” Dale cracked a smile knowing that a few people were watching over him even though his mother was no longer able to.
“Dale they want to talk to you”
The chipmunk handed Dale a phone that was on her desk and he put it to his ear.
“hello?”
“DALE! Are you ok did your father hurt you!”
“no he was going to but someone stopped him”
“Glad to hear it. We have already packed up your stuff and are sending them to you now. I know its sudden but we hope you will be better off with Sonia than with your Father”
“Sonia? Oh the chipmunk ok.”
“Dale we are going to miss you please take care. We have to go now but remember we are always thinking about you.”
Dale broke down into tears. Those 3 girls were like sisters to him. Since his mom died they took care him and made sure he was okay. They were all college students who came to church every Sunday. He was glad they had arranged to have him separated from his father if he had made it home he would have lost his life.
Dale handed the phone back to Sonia still trying to clear the tears from his eyes.
“So Dale it is up to you will you accept my offer to stay here or go home and take those chances?”
“I think I will accept your offer”
“wait one minute! Dale we don’t even know who she is you can’t accept her offer on a whim like that!”
“why not? She knew my mom”
“still it might be a trick who knows what this woman has in store for you. You could be trapped in a basement for all eternity!”
“Ben Minefell. I do take offence to that.”
“wait you know my name?” Ben was so distracted he did not notice a door behind Sonia open that was until the fur entering addressed him
“BEN! What are you doing in my mom’s office”
“RINTIN! YOUR MOM!”
“and your next door neighbor”
Ben eyes went wide. He had just met Rintin’s mother and once again he found it so weird that the people around him knew each other the way they did.
“Mom what is going on out here?”
“Oh nothing Rintin dear, just adopting you a brother”
Rintin eyes grew as wide as ben’s as Dale waved at him
“OH you got to be kidding me!”
