Chapter 4
 It had been about 6 days since Chondro was rescued from the boss and things were looking up for everyone. Except Ryker who was so annoyed at his new morning regiment. Every morning for the past 6 days all of his siblings and him had to get up at 5 am for training with their parents. Ryker was the least skillful of everyone who attended the training sessions added to this was the fact that Rintin had also joined them and showed that he was also incredibly skilled. Ryker was only doing basic self-defense training with Nico while watching the others do a lot more ‘cool’ stuff. Ben and Rintin were always dueling with their swords. Ben was being taught his father’s sword technique while Rintin was using a traditional Family technique. Ben was learning the techniques very quickly and was amazing his father with his abilities. Chondro and Silver were being trained by Marie on how to use different techniques such as Silver’s ‘Light cloak’ and Chondro’s ‘Sonic Fur’. Silver and Chondro were constantly sparing trying to outdo each other. Just watching everyone around him made Ryker feel weak.
“You’re distracted again Ryker”
“sorry Nico”
“you know what let’s take a break”
“Ok”
Nico and Ben sat down on 2 beach chairs while the watched the others continue their work
“Ryker since Ben and Rintin started their sword duels you have been more distracted. What’s the problem?”
“Can I be honest with you nico?”
“sure”
“I don’t think I am cut out for this stuff”
“why do you think that”
“Look at everyone Rintin has control over shadows, Ben can see the future and he is An excellent swordsman, Silver and Chondro are capable of killing those bears that attacked and what can I do? I can’t do anything not even defend myself”
“Are you sure fighting is the only way you can help them?”
“what do you mean NIco I have to Fight”
“no one ever said you had to fight Ryker. You said you wanted to fight.”
“I can’t help them by fighting what can I help them with?”
“I think you need to figure that out on your own.” Nico said that then walked away from Ryker leaving him to wonder was he really meant to fight with everyone else. It tore him up inside to know that he was utterly powerless even his best friend who he trusted the most was able to fight against Rob and Ray while he just did nothing. Even now while everyone was doing their best training he could do nothing but sit by and watch. 
Ryker decided it best for him to go back to his room for a while.
As he entered the hallway and made his way for the stairs he was stopped by Greg.
“your training is done for the day Ryker?”
“Supposedly anyway”
“I don’t know why they are having you kids do these training sessions anyway but I do think it is a good idea to at least have you kids prepared to defend yourselves.”
“well it turns out I suck at all that stuff so I am just going to go back to bed”
“If you say so” Greg just walked the way Ryker had came
Ryker kicked the railings on the stairs before heading up to his room. He reached his door but before he could enter he heard a noise coming from down the hall.
He went to investigate what is was. He noticed it was coming from Ben’s room so he turned the door knob and entered. He saw nothing there until he looked at Ben’s bed where there was Ben’s laptop making some weird noises.
“he must have left it on.” It appeared Ben had forgotten his password and his computer was making a pinging noise to confirm it.
‘so easy’ Ryker then took a flash drive out of his pocket and plugged it into Ben’s computer and then he began to crack Ben’s password. In a matter of seconds he was in Ben’s computer.
‘now let’s see what ben has on his computer’
Ryker started searching through ben’s files and found a journal.
‘this looks interesting.’ Ryker began reading the journal and discovered something.
‘4 years ago Ben started getting some real bad headaches and random bursts of blindness. So ben got his foreseen when he was 10. Silver said he got his when he was 7 and chondro got his when he was 4’
Ryker began to wonder something, it seemed every 3 years one of them unlocked their powers and even if he was the last his powers should have come in by the time he was 13 at least.
Ryker then glanced up at the time and the morning training session should soon be over with so he needed to get out. He logged off Ben’s computer and made his out to hall before something hit him.
“no..t a..gain” Ryker said as he started to shiver badly
A few minutes later Ben was walking to his room.	
“Man after a workout like that I really need … a shower?”
Ben looked confused by the sight of Ryker curled up in a ball on the ground near his room so he made his over to him saw that he shivering like crazy
“Ryker! What is wrong with you”
“cold so… so cold”
“cold it’s 65 degrees in here!”
“Just get dad please!”
“ok”
Ben rushed downstairs to get their father and in about 3 minutes he returned with a panicked Bruce.
“oh no Ryker!” Bruce said as he frantically ran over to Ryker and picked him up.
Bruce made his way to the medical wing while holding his shivering son. This caught the attention of Marie who followed her husband.
When bruce got to the medical area he laid chondro on a table and called over the doctor
“One of his episodes again? This one looks bad!” the doctor then placed a thermometer in Ryker’s ear and waited for a beep
“This is stranger than normal, Ryker is suffering from servere hypothermia his temperature is already below critical level”
“Nurse let us warm this boy up now bring me the electric blankets”
“yes doctor”
Bruce was asked to leave the room while the Doctors found a way to warm up Ryker.
“Bruce? What is wrong with Chondro?”
“He is suffering from hypothermia. I don’t know why but sometimes Chondro just seems to get cold for no reason. It’s been happening since he was 1”
“since he was 1?”
“Yea, The doctors have no idea what causes it or what triggers it but it just comes on when it’s ready. He scares me so often when it happens”
“Bruce stop them I think I know what his problem is”
Bruce and Marie walked into the room where the doctors were monitoring Ryker’s temperature
“You can’t be in here miss”
“Don’t worry I think I have the solution to this” Marie said she held Ryker’s paw
“Marie what are you doing?”
“Saving him” Marie then placed her paw on his forehead
“Ryker listen to me. You have to channel the cold in your body to your hands ok”
Ryker tried to answer between his heavy breathing
“what.. are.. you.. talking about?”
“Just focus here Ryker. Think about how cold you are and how much you want to get rid of it.”
Ryker started to relax his breathing a bit
“Ok Ryker focus all that cold into the paw I am holding do it slowly”
“ok… I will try”
Ryker began to focus while Marie held his paw tightly until she felt it
“there you go Ryker”
A slight mist had risen from Ryker’s paw
“Alright not I need you to focus once again Ryker. I need you to set all the cold focused in your paw free as soon as I let it go ok?”
“ok” Ryker said doing less shivering but more heavy breathing
“everyone in the room might want to duck” Marie said she let go.
Everyone hit the deck when an Icy mist just exploded out of Ryker Slightly freezing everything in the room.
Ryker then sat up no longer shivering but still catching his breathe. He looked as his paw and saw some ice was in his fur.
Marie Bruce and the medics rose off the floor and looked around seeing how the room had become frozen a bit.
“wow, did Ryker do this?”
“sure did, Seems like Ryker was actually the first to get his powers. That shivering was caused by ‘Frost’. It’s a pretty versatile ability and one that suits him.”
“all these years he has been having these attacks, it was just his powers activating?”
“no it was his powers needing to get out since never used it. ‘Frost’ is a nasty ability because the less you use it the more it builds inside of you and then it has to come out somehow. The shivering was it trying to come out”
Bruce then looked at his son who was just staring at his paws
“so mom can you teach me how to use this?”
“Sure dear, but let’s do it after breakfast”
“deal”
Bruce made his way to the dining room where there other 3 kids were eating breakfast and joking about something.
“what took you so long dad normally you would be done eating by now”
“we had a medical emergency with your brother. The doctors and making sure he is fine”
“What was wrong with him anyway dad he felt as he if he was just in a block of ice”
“well you could say that. your mom figured out what was wrong with him so he should be fine just wished she could have done this the 30 other times he has did this”
Ben made a move to speak but thought better of it. Chondro and Silver were just enjoying their breakfast not paying attention to the conversation. That was until 2 Elderly huskies entered the dining room.
The 3 kids just continued to eat ignoring the huskies until they say how stunned there father was.
“Mother Father I thought you weren’t coming for 2 more days!”
“And give you a chance to hide whatever it is you don’t want us to see” The female husky said
The Male husky made his way over the three eating kids and stood over them. He was getting irritated at the kids not acknowledging his presence.
“And who might these disrespectful cubs belong to, should you really be letting the offspring of the help eat in here”
‘I guess these are the grandparents that Ryker was so worried about I wonder what-‘
Ben’s chain of thought was interrupted by him being slapped over the back of his head sent to the floor
“hey what did you do that for”
“Silence peasant. And leave this room now I hate being in the company of uneducated kids like you”
“I will show you uneducated” Ben got up and made a move to punch the Husky but stopped when his dad screamed his name
“Ben! Don’t you even think about it. Take your brothers with you and go medical wing”
“grr, I … Alright. Let’s go guys”
Chondro and Silver just left in silence neither of them wanting to cause further incident. Ben left but gave back a stare to the husky.
“what a rude Child. I would fire the staff that raised such a Rude offspring.”
“Father that was uncalled for”
“no it was not. What was uncalled for is for them being in the Dining room instead of in the workers Quarters.”
“Your father has a point Bruce. You should have never let some worker’s kid in here”
“If you let me explain what they were doing here-“
“I don’t want to hear an explanation from you”
“Father!”
“Don’t raise your voice to be young man you may be older now but I am still your father and you should remember your place”
Bruce just growled he was mad at how his parents had treat his Son but if they found out about Marie… he couldn’t imagine what they would do if they found Marie.
“So their parent works in the medical wing shall we go see who is this fur that lets their kids go in a place they shouldn’t. Greg please give Bruce the papers”
Greg entered the room from behind the Grandparents with a folder in hand. He walked over to Bruce and handed him the folder.
“ not this again. I thought I told you I am not getting a divorce. Especially not now.”
“Bruce when will you stop being so stubborn. That girl was a tramp who ran away when she gave birth to your son. When will you give up on her, she was just a lousy no-good wolf”
“your father is right Bruce we didn’t want to press the issue but it has been far too long for you to hold out for this girl to come back to you.”
“Greg make sure my son signs those papers we will go deal with a certain staff member”
After Greg nodded to the huskies they left to go to the medical wing.
“Greg I will never understand why you work for those 2”
“Same reason Nico works for you”
“I thank you for not telling them.”
“They will find out but it is best if they don’t find out from me”
“I better follow them before they fire some innocent medic”
“I will just say you walked off before I could do anything to stop you”
“you were always good at making up stories”
“comes with the territory”
With a smirk at Greg Bruce left the room to chase after his parents.
Meanwhile in the medical ward The 3 brothers had just arrived
“Mom how is Ryker doing?”
“oh hi Ben, The doctors said he is recovering well they should release him soon after they make sure his temperature is back to normal”
“dad said you figured out what was wrong with him”
“Yep. Turns out Ryker can-“
Marie stopped and stared at the huskies who entered the room
Silver and Chondro just moved to the other side of the while ben continued to stay beside their mother.
“where is your parent young man”
“I am not saying anything to you”
“You should watch your mouth boy. Or you may regret the consequences”
Ben was about to speak again but Marie put her in front of Ben signaling him to stop.
“so this is your son? You should do a better job of teaching him his place. I should fire you right now because of him”
After the male husky finished Ryker came into the room but didn’t notice his grandparents. 
“Mom, thanks for saving me there. That one was the worse one yet”
“no problem Ryker, but I think we have other issues to deal with” Ryker’s eyes widened as he saw his grandparents watching him oddly
“Ryker, what did you just call her!”
“I called her mom”
“Why?”
“because she is his mother” Bruce said from behind the grandparents
“Mother Father I would like you to meet my wife Marie and our 4 sons, Chondro, Silver, Ben and of course you know Ryker”
“Bruce care to explain things to us?” Bruce’s mom said no longer being able to keep her silence
“I don’t think this is the place Clair,”
“Greg!? What is the meaning of this”
“Simple. I think this should be talked about somewhere else than the medical wing, after all Ryker is still a bit shaken up about this morning’s outburst.”
“Bruce I think you and Marie should come to your office. The kids can go get ready to go” Nico added walking in from where ever he was
“OK , sound good to you Father”
“If I must”
Bruce used his paw to shoo the kids upstairs while the adults moved to his Office to talk.
“guess we have to tell them the story Bruce”
“OK Marie, Mother Father I have to tell you a few things I didn’t before”
Bruce started telling his parents the story. Upstairs the Kids were getting ready for a trip out to the city. The driver called them all over the intercom and they went down to the Garage
“where Shall I be taking you today Master Ryker”
“Don’t ask me ask him” Ryker said and then pointed to Ben
“I have to meet Kate at the Gordon Mall”
“ok let us go then”
“wait for me” screamed a tired Rintin.
“Nice of you to join us”
“oh lay off Ryker I had to sneak out past my sister”
“how did you manage that?”
“my little secret”
“ahem, I hate to interrupt but we should be going”
“He is right Rintin, let’s go”
All 5 of them got into the car as it left for Gordon Mall unbeknown to them a meeting was occurring very close to mall at bar about 4 blocks away.
A Brown wolf entered the bar even though he was a teenager he had grey hair that was tied in a ponytail. The wolf surveyed the bar and then walked over to the bartender
“I need the usual meeting place”
“right away”
The bartender moved aside to make a phone call while the wolf just surveyed the bar until he heard the sound of a skateboard outside.
He watched the door as a Skunk on a skateboard entered the room still skating.
The skunk only stopped when he reached the wolf.
“you have some nerve showing up before me Grey”
“you should close your mouth Charles or I might just close it for you”
“it was just a joke, learn to lighten up. Now why did you call this meeting?”
The wolf got up and turned to the Skunk. The wolf was wearing a Black t-shirt that had Boss written all over and cargo shorts. The skunk whore a green shirt and a matching ¾ pant. His hair was green and it matched the color of the stripe than ran from his head to the end of his tail.
“I shall explain everything once the others get here”
“so who is here already? Just me and you right?”
“not likely I can smell Kevin’s antics in the bathroom”
“… can he even help himself? I think you should talk him about that”
“what he uses his powers for personally have no impact on me”
“but jeez that guy gets into an orgy every 2 days”
“still not my problem”
“I hope he at least remembers his pants this time.”
The bartender had just finished his phone call
“the usual place is ready for you”
“thank you” the wolf said as he and the Skunk made their way up the steps they made their way to back of the hall but stopped at the bathroom and knocked
“Kevin we are about to begin, finish up in there” Grey ordered
“OK, give me 5 minutes” a voice replied from beyond the door
With that the 2 continued on their way. A few seconds later they entered a room with 3 poles and a few rounded couches.
“let’s take a seat and wait for the others they shouldn’t belong”
“you’re the boss”
The 2 sat down on one of the couches that had a table between it and another couch. On the table was some chips and soda.
It was not long before the next member arrived. She was a cheetah with black braided hair. She wore a blue mini skirt and an orange tank top. There was something peculiar about her; she had a whip wrapped around her waist.
“I see Kevin is up to his old tricks again”
“did you expect anything different the boss here won’t talk to him about it”
“Did I not tell you to keep your mouth close Charles. You should take a seat Kaila”
 “you’re the boss, but where are the other 2 hope they didn’t run into any trouble”
As the cheetah finished her sentence she felt breathing on neck. 
“Dexter you should stop sneaking up on people, it’s annoying”
She then took her seat revealing the Black jackal behind her. He was dressed in a black hoddie black jeans and he was wearing shades. His all black wardrobe was not the strangest part of this fur. He had a sniper rifle strapped over his back.
Without a word the jackal took his seat.
The Jackal sat on the opposite couch to the other 3 and started eating the chips
Kaila and Charles were getting nervous Kevin was taking longer than he should have and ‘he’ was still nowhere to be found. 
Just then a pink otter came running through the door; he tripped and fell upon entering the room
“I am ok, just don’t hurt me for being the last one here” the Pink otter said as he got up and fixed his navy blue shorts and aqua vest. He had light blonde hair and a Flame tattoo over his left eye
“You aren’t the last one this time Kevin” Kaila answered “but you should really learn to control yourself and…” Kaila sniffed something then held her nose “Kevin you reek! you smell like sex and flowers. What the hell were doing in that bathroom this time.”
“And how many were there?” Charles added
“Well I wanted to try this new lubricant that Evan brought me back from his last trip”
“where is that fox anyway”
“right here Kitty” a fox said as he entered the room wearing a Blue polo jacket white undershirt and Brown jeans. The fur on his right hand paw was Light blue instead of black but other than that he was a typical fox.
“You have always had a bad sense of time Evan but you’re much later than normal, even Kevin beat you here. Keep pushing your luck and I might have to show you what happens when you waste my time” the wolf said as he slammed a fist down to the table. Kevin Kaila and Charles were nervous they knew that Evan’s tardiness always got the boss upset and when the boss was upset it typically ended badly
“and you don’t scare me Grey, even though you’re the boss don’t think for a minute that I would hesitate to take you out”
“You should learn to respect authority Evan, but I will let it slide today since I have more pressing issues to deal with. Just take your seat before you dig a hole you can’t get out of”
“you still don’t scare but I want to know what is so urgent you dragged me out here”
Kevin and Evan took their seats on each side of Dexter who had grabbed one of the sodas and drank it.
“My Father just told me that the 4th squad has entered the competition set for next summer. It consists of That Masked Munk, 4 of my cousins and that masked cat girl.”
“2 super heroes that should be interesting. Are they all going to be dress in spandex” Charles joked as Kevin and Evan chuckled
“Kevin, their leader is Ben”
“wait, my Ben?”
“the one and the same”
The otter’s expression turned from one enjoyment to one of rage and anger in no time
“the problem is that their squad contains Silver and Chondro who escaped their capture recently”
“Those 2 huh? They aren’t that powerful.” Evan added
“Those 2 killed Rob and ray”
“the bear brothers!? That is hard to believe unless they had some help”
“They had some help Evan, They were much stronger than anticipated and the masked munk interfering did hinder them quite a bit”
“So are they some new kind of threat or something?”
“They are a concern Kaila not a threat. According to Grandpa Ben’s foreseen is most powerful one he has ever seen. He can overpower mine easily.”
“So what, he has no training or other abilities” Evan just shrugged
“He may not have gotten any real training YET! But the red violet is training him and the rest of their team and The black sword is teaching him his sword technique. If we don’t watch his progress he might become a formidable opponent”
“The black sword and the Red violet? Are you kidding me! They are being trained by those 2” Dexter said slamming his soda down on the table
“yes Dexter that is why I called you all here today. We need to keep an eye on them so I need you all to be ready to do surveillance. I will give out orders sometime later. You are all dismissed”
“yes sir” they all replied
With their meeting over everyone made their way down the hall leaving Chuck and Grey in the room alone. Kevin and Evan were talking while Kaila had put her Mp3 on. Dexter walked ahead of them ignoring their presence completely.
When they arrived at the bathroom Kevin went in to get his backpack and returned with one all wet and sticky.
“judging by that bag I would say you had fun with that lube I brought you”
“yes I did”
“how many did you squeeze in there?”
“around 15 or so maybe 20”
“and how many were still teenagers?”
“10”
“man Kev you sure know how throw a party”
“speaking of party I have to go to the mall to arrange a birthday cake for my dad”
“that should be easy enough”
“yea it should, lets head over to Gordon mall it is the closest place”
“alright”
The pair made their way out of the bar and waved goodbye to Kaila and Dexter as Dexter walked in the opposite direction and Kaila got in a cab. What was strange is that no one took notice of the rifle Dexter had strapped on his back not even the police officers.
“So Evan did your latest trip produce anything?”
“just confirmation of a few things. I confirmed my father lives in Nev city but I have no idea where or what he looks like. All I know is his first name and that he is in the security business”
“Still going to try and find him?”
“yes I am, I am going to make him pay for what he did to me and my mom”
“so tell me what is name?”
“the name I know he goes by is Nico”
“Nico huh?”
“yea, I guess it’s a start”
“I am sure you will find him somehow”
“yea, hey! look we are here”
“let’s go to the bakery should be next to the DVD store”
“I will never get the layout of the mall’s around here”
“let’s just go already”
The 2 made their way to the 2nd floor meanwhile Ben and Kate were shopping in the DVD store.
“Ben I found it”
“Finally, I was afraid we were going to grow old before you found that movie.”
“I need it for this weekend I am having a sleep over with some girls from my old school”
“well I got all the DVD’s I need so let’s head to check out”
Ben put his DVD’s on the counter and made Kate do the same
“I am going to pay for everything my treat for ditching you this week”
“don’t think you can buy me out rich kid, and you still have to tell me what happened to you this week”
“ok ok” Ben said receiving his card back from the cashier
“go ahead ben let me just read this poster”
“hurry up Kate we have-“
“ben? What happened Ben?” Kate said exciting the door towards Ben who had just stopped to stare at something and when Kate saw what he was staring at she just said “ok, that would explain it”
Ben was staring down an otter, a pink otter, Kevin
Kate just watched as they stared each other down looking they were ready to pounce on each other any minute. Ben was the first to say something
“hey otter fag”
“hello wolf bastard”
“I see you’re still swimming in that toilet water”
“and I see you’re still getting your insults from a cereal box” 
The glared down each other harder before Ben decided it was not worth his time anymore and walked off.
Kevin didn’t bother to look at Ben as he passed he just shifted his vision to Kate and smiled while behind Evan had exited a store carrying a bag and watched Ben walk off.
“hey Kate”
“hey kevy, what brings you to this part of town”
“just getting a cake ordered for my Dad’s birthday, how about you”
“getting some stuff for a sleep over”
“sounds like fun”
“yep it’s going to be spectacular.” Evan then approached Kevin and stood beside him
“well I better get going, text ya later”
“sure I will see you at school Kevy, bye”
“bye Kate”
Kate ran off to catch Ben while Evan came up to Kevin.
“was that Ben?”
“the one and only”
“why didn’t you take him out then?”
“I don’t want to involve Kate in this. This is between me and that Homophobe.”
“you know I will never get you”
“c’mon”
The 2 walked off to the bakery while Kate caught up with ben
“Ben! When will you tell me what really happened between you and kevy?”
“as I have said before Kate, this is between me and that Homo”
“this is not about him being gay, I know you 2 wouldn’t fall out this badly just over that”
“well clearly you were wrong”
“it has been nearly a year since you 2 had this big fight and I still don’t know why. You 2 were the best of friends what could have happened that changed that?”
“Kate you should drop it, c’mon let’s go to the food court”
“this is not over though Ben, one of you will tell me the real problem”
A few minutes later after Kate and Ben picked up some food they entered the food court to find everyone else sitting at a table in the corner.
As they approached they over heard something about the masked munk
“what is this about the masked munk?” Kate asked settling in to  eat her burger.
“they are making a movie about him and Rintin here is telling us all about how fake the movie will be” Ryker answered
“what makes him such an expert on it”
“well he is the real-oof” Rintin elbowed Ryker 
“real what?”
“nothing,”
“oh yea you guys missed it, silver had to teach Chondro here how to eat a pizza” Rintin said trying to change the topic
“in my defense I never had it before I only seen it on TV”
“it is still funny though” everyone chuckled and continued eating until Ryker’s watch went off
“wow 4:30 already, the driver should be waiting on us” 
“better get going then. Kate what are you going to do?” ben asked his friend
“I am going to wait here for a few friends then head over to the movie theater”
“alright guess I see you later then Kate”
“and you still owe me an explanation of what happened last week”
“I know I know, bye kate”
“bye guys”
With that the 5 boys made their way to the parking lot. On their way there they ran into Nico near the exited
“Nico!?” all 5 of them said startled
“One of my contacts in this area disappeared this morning. I came to check on you kids and find out what is going on”
Just then Ben got a headache and started wobbling
The other took notice of this. Silver and Chondro raised their guard they knew something was probably about to happen.
“guys MOVE NOW” Ben yelled
Everyone got the message and moved and as soon as they did a bolt of electricity hit the floor where they were just standing sending them to the floor
Nico turned around having been blown forward by the bolt. He saw a Fox whose right blue arm was sparking
“Who are you?” NIco asked the fox
“Come on now Nico, You’re saying that you don’t know who I am?”
“I don’t know who you are”
“well I know who you are and it’s about time I make you pay for what you did”
Nico watched on helplessly as another bolt of electricity formed around the fox’s paw
“Nico, after years of searching I can finally have my revenge!”
Evan shot the bolt at Nico. The kids could only watch on none of them could do anything. Ben and silver didn’t have their weapons, Chondro and Rintin can’t block lighting and Ryker still had no control over his powers. 
Nico opened his eye’s realizing the bolt didn’t hit him instead it hit a block of ice that appeared in front of him.
“what the” everyone but Ryker said surprised at his actions
“I guess I should’ve told you guys, it turns out I have always had my powers I just didn’t know it” 
“An Ice wall? Grey didn’t tell us about any of members of squad C being able to make ice” Evan said but after realized he said something unnecessary
“That means you’re a member of Project H” Ben said 
“So what of it? I am only here for him” Evan pointed to Nico
“you will have to go through me first” Ryker retorted
“Fine by me”
Ryker’s right paw started to give off the icy mist that created his ice while Evan’s paw began to spark. Before either of them could move a ball of fire fell between the 2 of them causing them to jump back
Evan got the message he stopped his right paw from sparking and started walking away; Ryker was looking for where the fireball came from. Ben saw where it came from and he got a glimpse of who shot it but he couldn’t believe it.
The fox had almost reached the door when he looked back at Nico and Ryker
“This is not over, you can count on it. I will kill you Nico and you to wolf”
 “Bring it. Next time you won’t be leaving here under your own power”
“Brave words for someone who just got his powers. I will see you around” with that the Fox exited the mall.
The boys gathered themselves together but ben just kept staring at a 2nd floor railing
‘I guess I found the real reason I despise Kevin so much’
“hey ben what are you looking at? Did you see the guy who shot that fireball?”
“No I didn’t Chon,”
“I hate to be the bearer of bad news but we need to get going your mom and dad will be furious we don’t leave now”
“Nico is right lets go Chon, Ryker and… wait a minute where is silver”
Everyone looked around no Silver to be found everyone except Chondro 
“I will give ya one guess as to where he went” 
“let’s just go, he likes to do things his way anyway” Nico said 
Everyone nodded and then went to parking lot where 2 cars waited for them. They got in and were on their way.
Meanwhile in the mall in a Girl’s clothing store’s storage room there was tied up Skunk it was Charles.
His hands and feet were tied with rope his eyes were blind folded and his mouth was duct taped shut.
A figure entered  the room she was dressed similar to how Rintin dressed when paraded around as the Masked Munk. The only difference was her suit was made for a female and instead of a cape she had a silk scarf wrapped around her waist.
She approached Charles and ripped the duct tape off his mouth
“ouch that hurt! You won’t get away with this once my boss finds you, you’re a dead cat”
“I have had you here for 3 days now and frankly my use for you is almost over. I learned a lot at that meeting today but I will give your boss credit after the meeting he held me up for some drinks and said that he knew I used a projection to spy on his meeting”
“he should have given an order to eliminate you!”
“if only he could, you see he still doesn’t know who I am. And I don’t think he ever will”
“When I get out of these ropes I am going to melt you into a puddle”
“If you could use your powers I would be scared but we both know you can’t, can you?”
The skunk held his head for some reason this girl had found a way to suppress his powers. 
“why are you doing this, you should know anyone who crosses us dies”
“well my father for a long time crossed the Cantonole’s path and they couldn’t stop him. That was until I was born.” The girl paused and kicked Charles in the gut “ You guys make me sick. Using me as part of your crazy project, killing my mom in the process then blackmail my dad into working for you, then you kill him.” The girl removed her bandana and showed her face it was Kate “I am going to get my revenge on you people for not only what you did to me but for what you did to my friends”
“your father was that FBI agent? Then you must be!”
“Yes I am Kate youth, daughter of Hale youth and member of Project H squad C”
“but I thought they weren’t together!”
“well I haven’t joined them yet but they are together”
“I can’t believe I got captured by a member of squad C”
“Charles unlike most of the others I have been training with my powers since I was 4.”
“who trained you? To sneak up on me the way you did would have taken years and years of training and practice.”
“I was trained by my father and my uncle but that is enough about me you are going to tell me where ‘the tree’ is”
“you … how do you  know about that!”
“I stole a few files from your hide out a while ago. I know a lot about the Cantonole’s plans around here. Project H, Project seed Project Revenge and even Project takedown”
“How do you know about those?! The boss doesn’t even know the details of them!”
“I have my ways, now answer my question and I shall let you go!”
“I won’t answer, and I know you aren’t planning on letting me go after what you just said to me.”
“you don’t have a choice remember I can make you talk!” Kate walked over to Charles then removed a glove off her Right paw. She placed her paw right in front of Charles’s nose and then she emitted a yellow like dust for Charles’s to breathe in. Once he breathe it in his pupils dilated and he stopped struggling.
“now let’s try this once more time shall we. Where is the ‘the tree’?”
“it is in the basement of Hollywood tower downtown”
“good, now who is guarding it?”
“it is being guarded by our Boss and a few Cantonole assassins”
“Ok, What powers should I expect from your boss and these assassins?”
“I don’t know I have never seen any them use their powers before I only seen the boss use his foreseen”
“good now you can sleep for a while”
Kate put her paw back in front of Charles’s nose and this time emitted a purple powder into the air around Charles’s face. Charles fell over no longer able to support himself he just lay there fast asleep.
“I know you can’t hear me but if your boss doesn’t find you in 2 days all he will find is a corpse.”
Kate put her bandana back on and exited the storage room.
Elsewhere Evan and Kevin had reunited with each other and were walking down the street outside the mall
“why the fireball Kev!”
“because something important came up”
“what is so important that you had to stop me. I finally found him that damn bastard Nico”
“the boss sent out an urgent message I guess you didn’t notice it since you were so caught up”
“what was the message. And yes I didn’t notice the boss sent a message there”
“he said Charles has been taken by someone. The one that was in the meeting today was a fake”
“a fake? How did someone impersonate Charles so well? And who could have captured him?”
“we don’t know and that is why the boss is so worried. Someone strong enough to capture Charles and has the ability to use projection to impersonate him, whoever it is could cause us some huge problems."
"the Charles in the meeting today was a projection? He seemed so real!”
“that is what is so scary about this, that level of projection is unheard of outside the Cantonole. The most likely culprit would be the red violet but she couldn’t have known about that meeting or about Charles”
“To know about that meeting they would have had to read Charles mind. He would have never told them about the meeting!”
“But how did they know about Charles in the first place? and why him? We got to find him before the uppers get wind of this”
“Kevin we have company!” Evan stopped walking
“hmm?”
The 2 turned to look behind them where a silver wolf had come out from hiding
“You followed me here Silver!?”
“not that hard to follow and angry fox who lost control of his emotions”
“well you should have realized following me was a mistake. Let’s take him Kev!”
“ok but be careful this guy wasn’t top rookie assassin for nothing” Kevin and Evan readied for battle
“you 2 have some answers that I need.” Silver said drawing his knives “and I am not leaving until I get them”
