"description": "Done by @Tokaido\n\nThis is an oooooooooold idea that's tumbled about in my head for ages. The Vesh'Relmaru (closest literal translation Children of the goddess with goddess similar to how the Tauren refer to the Earth mother, however it's similar but not the same.), a race of \"lizard people\" before I was properly introduced to D&D dragons. They are an \"odd\" race that is best described as \"well enough off that we don't need you\". Their world is almost entirely covered in desert and mountains with the largest sources of water either coming form underground aquifers or refineries up on high mountains melting down snow. Their world has a \"ring\" round the equator of rainforest and valley's with pure water, however very few of their kind live int hat zone... finding it to \"wet\" for their tastes, but it does provide the majority of their water, food, and other such products. They care greatly for their environment and consider the act of harming the world anyone lives on to be a crime. This stems from living in a harsh desert world made harsher by near constant bombardment form meteor's.\n\nThey are a race with a secret... one they themselves don't fully know about their origin's, but they also secretly hide their advanced technology from other races they come in contact with preferring to be consider \"primitive\" by galactic standards. Their stated and shown military strength is \"just enough\" to defend their small sector of space squeezed between the edge of human space and the \"scum and villainy\" also know as the pirate lords that hide in the unexplored regions of space. However... their region isn't that as unexplored as other think... nor as primitive as many think.\n\nThey have one of the fastest and undetectable, for the most part, forms of space travel in existence. The displacement drive pulls ships out of sync with reality basically allowing it to break, bend, or simply ignore all the rules allowing ships to travel huge distance in a moment or even \"hover\" out of sync allowing them to observe other races and even pull off lighting fast raids against pirates and invaders. No one has ever \"survived\" to tell the tale of ships that \"melt\" into and out of space. However, exiting and entering normal space gives off a gigantic burst of energy.\n\nNo survivors however isn't entirely true. They have nothing against those that give up or get captured and see no reason to simple murder them. And so one of their colony worlds is populated by those that chose to surrender or be captured... not all started as pirates... some where refuge's and others scouts, military crew, ect that stumbled to far into their space. All are given a choice: Make a life for yourself on this world. You will not be able to leave it, but we will provide what is needed to survive and to build a home. Over the centuries the decedents of those people actually started to become a part of the Vesh'Relmaru culture. They find themselves in a number of jobs and carriers... though none have seen the \"Vesh\" home world... mostly because it's hostile environment, 100 degree (F) \"average\" heat, higher then comfortable gravity, and the dry atmosphere. Not to mention their version of a squirrel is our equivalent of a bobcat on steroids... on angel dust. It's not a very nice world to live on without being tough.\n\nPolitically they don't give a crap about political \"crap\". They election for their representative was more like pulling names form a hat and giving them a big paycheck to put up with the annoyance. Their ambassador, Tegris Navoria, is well know for napping through almost every meeting, counsel decision, and tends to miss every trade meeting he's invited to. This is both to cause people to both see him as \"useless\" and annoying, however, he's managed to push a few unexpected things through the galactic government through some very well placed... suggestions... and misleading statements.\n\nMagic. They lack any know magical powers... as far as they know.\n\nBiology. As stated in the sheet. they have a gland in their upper torso that has two sacks. Each sack has one half of a biological acid. They mix as they slide through a duct that leads to just under the tongue. The spray can be flung up to distances of 20 feet and sticks to it's target. Their saliva naturally neutralizes the acid, this is a evolutionary trait since if it harmed them it'd be useless for hunting and eating animals adapted to their environment. Their scales are also naturally immune to their own acid, though it can irritate flesh. They have dense bone structure and it's difficult to break or fracture their bones. This is attributed to Vesh'Carnsa (closest literal translation Blood of the Goddess), a dense iron like material on their world with properties similar to titanium. It's in everything. The water, the plants, the wildlife, and the Vesh. Deposits build up in their bones and in their claws giving them silvery metal claws that can puncture most modern armor, materials, ect and allow them to climb most structures like the old Disney Gargoyles show.",
