His life, despite some appearances I've given, is one of pain and this is the root of it. Rorick is 29 years of age and a widower. Alyssa is 3 and has lost her mother. It's a core part of what I view his later character to be.\n\nNow, before anyone gets this idea, this does not mean I'll be retiring Elyssa as an active character. There are still stories of her life I want to tell. And maybe a few things that happen after she's passed. But I'm not going to shy away from her being dead in future art is all.
