But there was one unusual prohibition: betrothed were not allowed to have sex with each other before being wed. No one was sure where it came from, or why it was still even enforced, but it was deeply engrained into the social fabric of the land. Most people would rather be caught going to town on their cousin than their fiancée it was that taboo. Even the Jarl and his heir would abide this prohibition, else misfortune befall the family.
As it was, Alexia had been betrothed to Wasmundt from a young age. It was one of the few ways the leopard's father could see to it that she was protected when she came of age, least she be treated like some common gutter trash when he was gone. For much the same reason, Alexander had been sworn to Wasmundt as his servant. Under his auspice, Wasmundt would be honor-bound to care for and protect the twins. Unfortunately for Alexia, Wasmundt was a bit of a shit growing up.
As the time of marriage grew closer, Wasmundt had the idea that his bride-to-be should be had to be informed on how to please her husband in bed. He'd had been with some of the village girls before, and he knew what he liked, so he felt it prudent that such info be passed on posthaste. But with the taboo in place, he couldn't very well give her hands on experience, could he? After he pondered it for some time, he came to a simple, yet ingenious solution: He'd instruct her on the ways to pleasure him, but she'd do it on her brother. As his sworn servant, Alexander was honor-bound to follow Wasmundt's directives short of violating extant laws. And fucking your sister wasn't officially illegal. And, unluckily for the twins, Alexia was also, until the day of their wedding, sworn as Wasmundt's servant.
After dinner one night, the three retired to the barn where they'd be assured some privacy while their fathers talked shop. In the hayloft, the older cat would give his directions, much to the chagrin of the twins.
