  "description": "Hoo boy. What a year.\n\nIt's really been kind of crazy. I didn't actually create a lot of art this year, at least not in comparison to previous years, but I'm pretty proud of a lot of the art I did create. I had some crazy things happen, including a huge, unforeseen disaster in my day job (which fortunately I got through okay!) that sucked up a lot of my time and energy.\n\nI experimented a lot this year. I got a new tablet, and have moved from using Clip Studio towards using Krita. While there are still some tools in Clip Studio that are extremely valuable, Krita [i]feels[/i] a lot more natural to me, and it has the best area fill tool I've ever seen in an art program (the Colorize Filter.) Moving into next year, I think I'm going to be figuring out a workflow where I sometimes start some of the sketches and such in Clip Studio, then move into Krita to finish.\n\nTowards the end of the year, I started feeling kind of overwhelmed and stressed, so I've taken a bit of a break these last few weeks (I know that I've drawn a couple things here and there, but I haven't been stressing myself.) Come this next year, I really want to get a plan in place to make myself productive again, and I [i]especially[/i] want to get back into some of my game dev projects. There might be a little less art while I work on some of these things, and I may not open for commissions has often (though I'll probably still do some here and there. Maybe some YCHs? Those are usually way less stressful. I wonder what people might think of story YCHs?) But I'm hoping to keep creating quality content that I enjoy, and that I hope you all enjoy too.\n\nThank you all for sticking with me! Your comments and responses to my art are a huge motivator for me. While I create art for myself, I absolutely see it as a community activity, and having this opportunity to share it with so many people is what has kept me doing this for so long.
