She was his natural prey, and she was putting herself in an extremely vulnerable position. In fact, \"don't date preds\" was basically the first thing they told you in prey health class; even if they seem nice, all they have to do is get you alone one time and that's it.\n\nEvery time she was alone with him, she was running the risk of ending up on the wrong side of his fur. She knew this.\n\nBut he was such a hunk! That dark fur, those bulging muscles. And that element of risk made the game even spicier. She tried to keep track of his eating habits, make sure that she was never alone with him when he was hungry. And he never gave any indication that he had any untoward motives. In fact, he was always attentive to her needs, both physical and social. She was fairly certain she could say he was the best boyfriend she had ever had.\n\nAnd every day that passed, she got a little more comfortable. She convinced herself that the sharp teeth occasionally pressing against her shoulders or throat were simply marks of affection. That when he licked her, it was to please or tease her, not to taste her.
