gore porn like invincible or the boys. that is way wrong. tmnt were never meant to be taken seriously, but never turned into a cheap comedy. and, ok, the comedy on the movie is not precisely monty python level, but, MAN, IT IS COMEDY, SOMETHING WRITERS MUST REMEMBER WHEN WORKING WITH THE TURTLES.\n\nthe turtles have real personalities, specially donatello, i am not sure, but i think they kinda kept the autistic setting from rise of the series, I DONT MEAN TO OFFEND OR BE RUDE, but i am sure donnie is austistic on that series, and they kinda kept that here, and i like it. donnie must be an introverted genius. but not a jerk. and man, donnie is adorable here.\n\nactually, all characters are likeable, yes, even black april...people...remember, EACH TMNT SERIES, STORY, BOOK OR MOVIE HAPPENS ON A DIFFERENT UNIVERSE, WITH ITS OWN CANON AND SETTING. so...if i had to deal with master splinter doing the leomon like 12 times on the 2012 series, i am sure you can take april being black...which she actually kinda was on the original comic before becoming white, i know...the original comic canon of tmnt is a colossal mess, and basically the artists had a huge issue on consistency and continuity. and again, we can be adult enough to accept one black april o neil, if we actually accept the idw comic universe, where donatello has died like 30 times already.\n\nand, again, april is enjoyable, not a mary sue, not a token black girl, she is part of the team, period. and that is good.\n\nmaster splinter...WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT THE MOST LOVINGLY HOBO MASTER SUPER DAD VERSION OF SPLINTER? i mean, he actyually takes a lot from his archie comics version, where more emphasis is made on his father and old man side. i like that....hey, at least he survived...no, i am
