First, I just kinda felt like actually drawing something for once that wasn't fandom-related, and it happened to be giant bellies apparently!
Second, I wanted to draw something new of this subject matter after the Nicole drawing from a week ago, because the finished product of that's line-art ended up being way too messy and rough and thick to me. I wanted to draw something with the same brush and the same basic subject matter, but do it much cleaner like I've done this line-art style before as well as not just redoing the same picture over again.
Third, mainly I wanted to practice and experiment with drawing a character that wasn't just a skinny person with a big belly attached, since that's how I usually do this subject matter. There's a handful of artists I've been reminded of and seen stuff from recently that reminded me that, hey, you can have the other parts of the body have their sizes increased as well as the stomach to give off an overall inflated/fat/big look, like the hips, butt, thighs, chest, etc. So this was an attempt to get out of my comfort zone concerning anatomical proportions and be able to draw bigger proportions for fat and inflated characters.
So this is just a brand new random cat I made up to be the subject matter, no intended likeness or connection to any preexisting character. Dunno if I'll use him for anything else ever but I think he came out kinda cute! Didn't really give him a name while drawing him but I kinda wanna call him Rusty.
Also, this specific body shape and picture in general was mostly inspired by works of
\n\t\t\t\tweedshibe. Might think about doing more practice pictures to try and get the types of body shapes and sizes other artists do later, too.
