Have you talked to your brother about this?”\n\t“No. He doesn’t want to hear anything about them anymore. He doesn’t even say their names or call them mom and dad. He calls them …” she explained only to stop and stare at the floor in silence for a few moments.\n\t\n\t“I. I never even got to say bye to them or anything. I know they were mean and bad, but…”\n\t“It’s okay Bella,” Vapor said then hugged Bella who had started sobbing, “it’s okay to miss them, but there are reasons why you couldn’t see them anymore after they were arrested. You’ve grown so much,”\n\t“I, umm, I…” Bella said but stopped and looked away. She looked over at Vapor looking for guidance.\n\t“You don’t have to be scared Bella, she can’t hurt or get to you. Just tell her what you wanted to, okay?”\n\t“Okay mommy,” Bella said, causing her biological mom’s eyes to widen then close, her shoulders dropped as well.\n\t“Mommy,” she said facing the glass again, “why were you and daddy mean and hurt bubba and me?”\n\t“I’m so sorry Bella. I wish we hadn’t been like that. Your dad and I were doing drugs and drinking heavily. We weren’t good fursons. I’m so, so sorry Bella,”\n\t“I miss you and daddy but I’m happy that bubba and me don’t get beaten anymore,”\n\t“That’s good to hear. I’m happy that you’re being taken care of,” her mom said then looked over at Vapor. She smiled, “thank you for caring for them. I’m sorry,”\n\t“Don’t tell me that. Tell that to your kids,” Vapor said then reached around the booth corner and pulled Todd into sight.\n\n\tTodd stood there glaring at his biological mother. If looks could kill, she would have been stabbed a hundred times in just those five silent seconds. He stood there in his black hoodie, his paws in the hoodie pocket. His Jnco pants sagging, barely being held up by his belt. All eight metal chains were removed from the pants, being that it’s a prison. The only straps left were the fabric ones that hung from the front and around the legs on either side that were not removable.\n\t“Hi Todd,” his mother said.\n\t“Fuck you and die you stupid fucking bitch,” Todd said and walked away.\n\n\tHis biological mother sighed and sunk even further into the chair. “He looks good,” she said a moment later.\n\t“Bubba not getting beaten now and eating too,” Bella blurted out.\n\t“I know,” she replied.\n\n\tTwo minutes later a prison guard walked to their booth, “two minutes left,” he said then headed to the next booth, “seven minutes left.” This prison gives ten minutes for visitation for prescheduled visits, and only five minutes for walk-ins, something that Vapor had not known about.\n\n\t“Bye,” Bella said two minutes later, “Bubba doesn’t like you, I won’t be visiting again,” she said then got up and followed Vapor out of the visitation room.\n\n\tSeconds later a guard on her side walked up and removed the chain from her wrist chain and led her away back to her cell where she would be locked in for 22 hours a day. She only gets out for 2 hours a day to go outside for sun. The outside is just a concrete bunker that’s eight by eight feet and twenty foot vertical chain link fence with deadly electrical spikes at the top. If someone did make it up the fence, as soon as they touched the top they would be electrocuted and most likely fall onto the foot long spikes, penetrating their internal organs, causing either a very painful death or having another 20 years added onto their sentence and solitary confinement for 6 months straight with no outside privileges.\n\n\tTodd was sitting on a bench, his head resting against the wall, completely bored and annoyed. Luckily for Todd, they were not able to go visit their father in a different prison. Their father is in solitary confinement for the next two months for fighting and attempted murder of another prisoner.\n\n\t“You ready?” Vapor asked Todd as they walked up. Bella was holding Vapor’s paw and smiling.\n\t“Yeah, been ready,” he replied.\n\t“When we get home, I’d like to speak with you,”\n\t“Okay,” he replied.\n\n***\n\n\t“You doing okay?” Vapor asked Todd. He was out back smoking a cigarette after they got back from the two hour one-way drive from the state female prison.\n\t“Yeah,” he replied.\n\t“Listen, I know that you didn’t want to see her. I know. But thank you for coming along for Bella’s sake. It’ll help her move on and give her closure from that time of her life and yours,”\n\t“Vapor, I’m going to say this now. I will NOT go again to see that bastard sperm donor. I don’t care if you ground me, take everything away or even beat me to a pulp. I will not step back into that prison or the bitches prison. I will refuse to do so and I’ll walk away. I’ll walk back home if I have to, if you force me to go,”\n\t“I know Todd. Just remember, these visits were for your little sister to try to heal from a horrible time in her life. It wasn’t for you or about you. Laika told her that she thought it was maybe two to four loads of just theirs.\n\n\tIn the laundry room Bella stood there watching Luna teach her how to do laundry and how to sort everything properly. Colored clothes together, towels and wash clothes for another load, and whites by themselves. She also made sure to let Bella know that special clothes like suits and some dresses had to be done separately and hung for drying. After showing her how all that was done she then showed Bella how much laundry detergent to use. Then of course what settings for each type of clothing and then how to start the machine. She continued to separate the clothing where Luna left off at during training.\n\n\tAn hour later she finally managed to sort everything and get her first load, out of four, into the washer. She looked at the cheat sheet that Luna and Onai had made long ago. She clicked the load over to heavy, hot and set the timer for 90 minutes. She hit the start button and listened as the lid was locked closed. Remember, each load takes around 90 minutes for washing and another thirty minutes to an hour for drying. Stuff dries faster than washing. So try to work out something that you can handle to deal with in between loads. Also, words of the wise, by that I mean that I’ve done this before, don’t mix up clothes from each room. Don’t get Lin and Laika’s mixed in with Tib’s or your brothers or Luna’s. It’s not fun to try to sort through and to make sure they have their proper clothes,” Fang explained.\n\t“Okay. I think I understand. Do each room by itself and don’t mix up two rooms together. Washing takes longer to do, so the dryer will stop first. Sort another room while waiting for stuff to finish. Right?”\n\t“Yeah pretty close to that. Remember too, that laundry is done daily, one or two rooms a day. Once you get through all rooms, you’ll start the first one again. But we don’t want the machines running all day though. So only do four, maybe five, loads a day. But also try not to get behind or it’ll be hard to get back on track,”\n\t“I think I see why Luna doesn’t like laundry now,”\n\t“It’s not easy, but it does pay the most for optional chores. If you think you can’t keep up, let us know okay? We’re happy to help you and I’m sure Luna wouldn’t mind helping you either. Bella heard the bubbling of water in the hot tub, something she rarely used. As soon as they stepped outside she pointed towards the back of the yard behind one of the buildings. Todd said he’d go and look for her. She quickly rushed to the side of the house and drug the box onto the deck and quickly tied the rope to the box. After that she walked back into the yard to wait for her brother.\n\n\tAnother two or three minutes passed when he came back and shook his head. “I didn’t see it out there, I guess you didn’t find it either?”\n\t“No. Maybe it’s in my room and missed it. I don’t know. I’m tired though,” she said as they walked back onto the deck and into the house.\n\t“Thank you for helping me look bubba,” she said after they reached her bedroom.\n\t“Bella…” Todd said then pointed, “Demo’s on the floor there.”\n\t“Oh. \tLuna elbowed him again after he grumbled. Luna then slipped out of bed, grabbed her clothes and headed into the bathroom to clean up, leaving the two siblings alone with Skyler sleeping in his crib.

You might ask some of the others if you can help them with one of their chores and they pay you. I know that Luna doesn’t really like laundry. She gets ten dollars a load for doing that, which includes gathering the laundry from the rooms, loading the washer, then loading into the drier, then folding and put the clean laundry back into the rooms for them to put away. I think Luna does around ten or fifteen loads a week for everyone living here except for Willow, Jaden and Shayla, they do their own,”
\t“Oh okay. What’s the fastest?”
\t“Why do you ask? What do you want to buy?”
\t“A new toy,” Bella replied.
\t“I see. Okay. Well, I guess dishes and vacuuming might be the fastest but vacuuming is only done twice a week, but all chores do take time to do. You know that. You’d done your share of most chores,”
\t“Okay, thanks!” Bella replied then rushed off.

\tAn hour later Bella was dragging a laundry basket of piled clothes towards the stairs out of Laika and Lin’s bedroom. She sighed upon seeing just how much clothes those two had with their six pups. But she could see the dollar signs in her eyes already. Laika told her that she thought it was maybe two to four loads of just theirs.

\tIn the laundry room Bella stood there watching Luna teach her how to do laundry and how to sort everything properly. Colored clothes together, towels and wash clothes for another load, and whites by themselves. She also made sure to let Bella know that special clothes like suits and some dresses had to be done separately and hung for drying. After showing her how all that was done she then showed Bella how much laundry detergent to use. Then of course what settings for each type of clothing and then how to start the machine. Then lastly was the drier, which was much more simpler to do.

\t“Thank you Luna,”
\t“No. No, thank you for taking this over. I hate doing laundry. But if you need help or have questions make sure to ask me or our mom, okay?” Luna said
\t“I will thanks again,” Bella said then looked at the four piles of clothes on the floor. She continued to separate the clothing where Luna left off at during training.

\tAn hour later she finally managed to sort everything and get her first load, out of four, into the washer. She looked at the cheat sheet that Luna and Onai had made long ago. She clicked the load over to heavy, hot and set the timer for 90 minutes. She hit the start button and listened as the lid was locked closed. She slipped off the washer and then stood there unsure what to do next.
\t“Do I just wait here?” She asked out loud.
\t“I wouldn’t. You’d be waiting for a long time,” Fang said, causing her to jump, squeak and spin on her heels. “Aww, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. I was just passing by the room to head outside.”
\t“What should I do now?”
\t“Well, since you’re doing laundry, I would suggest that you get another rooms laundry sorted for after these are done. Remember, each load takes around 90 minutes for washing and another thirty minutes to an hour for drying. Stuff dries faster than washing. So try to work out something that you can handle to deal with in between loads. Also, words of the wise, by that I mean that I’ve done this before, don’t mix up clothes from each room. Don’t get Lin and Laika’s mixed in with Tib’s or your brothers or Luna’s. It’s not fun to try to sort through and to make sure they have their proper clothes,” Fang explained.
\t“Okay. I think I understand. Do each room by itself and don’t mix up two rooms together. Washing takes longer to do, so the dryer will stop first. Sort another room while waiting for stuff to finish. Right?”
\t“Yeah pretty close to that. Remember too, that laundry is done daily, one or two rooms a day. Once you get through all rooms, you’ll start the first one again. But we don’t want the machines running all day though. So only do four, maybe five, loads a day. But also try not to get behind or it’ll be hard to get back on track,”
\t“I think I see why Luna doesn’t like laundry now,”
\t“It’s not easy, but it does pay the most for optional chores. If you think you can’t keep up, let us know okay? We’re happy to help you and I’m sure Luna wouldn’t mind helping you either. She’ll end up missing that money soon, within a month, I’ll bet you on that,”
\t“Could me and Luna split laundry?”
\t“I don’t care if you do, but you’ll have to ask Luna if she wants to do that. Knowing her, she’ll say no, but once her allowance is cut back by like a hundred, a hundred-fifty dollars or whatever she’ll want to do some more,”
\t“Thanks daddy,” Bella replied with a smile.
\t“No problem kiddo, anything else you want to ask?”
\t“No,” she replied, shaking her head.

\tNine hours later Bella dropped onto her bed, exhausted and nearly in tears from just how boring laundry is and how much work it actually was. She completed five loads of laundry and folded everything and got them back to Laika and Lin.

\tA bit later Luna walked into Bella’s bedroom and sat down next to her. She caressed Bella’s head and ran her fingers through her hair.
\t“You doing okay?”
\t“I’m really tired and hurt,”
\t“Laundry can do that. It’s not an easy chore, especially carrying the bins up and down the stairs. You still want to do laundry?”
\t“Yeah. I want the money to buy some toys,”
\t“Okay. Dad told me that you asked if we could split laundry. I’m willing to do every other day if you want to. I don’t like laundry but it is good money though,”
\t“Not right now Luna. I want the money,”
\t“Okay then. If you do need help with it, you only need to ask. Okay?”
\t“Thanks Luna,”
\t“You said that you were hurting?”
\t“Yeah. I hurt all over. It hurts to even move,”
\t“You’ve worked muscles that you probably never have before, or not for so long and hard. I’ll be back,” Luna said then headed into the bathroom.

\tA few minutes later she returned and got Bella to come with her into the bathroom. Bella heard the bubbling of water in the hot tub, something she rarely used. She was scared that she would sink underneath the water and wouldn’t be able to come back up on her own, so she never used it alone.

\tThe two girls stripped down and Luna helped Bella into the hot tub and got her sitting down. Luna took a seat next to Bella and both sat there letting the hot bubbly water work it’s magic on their muscles, nerves and mentality. A few minutes in, Luna flipped the lights of the hot tub on, got out of it and turned off the overhead lights. The room was mostly dark, other than the soft pink glow of the water and the pink reflecting off the ceiling and the nearby walls. Pink was both of one of their favorite colors, so it worked out.

\tAbout half an hour later Todd knocked on the door to see where Luna was. He walked in to see them relaxing in the hot tub.

\t“Is it the chicken nuggets?”
\t“Yeah,”
\t“You give him the mustard too?”

\t“Hehe,” Luna laughed, “okay. I’ll be down shortly. Why don’t you join your sister in the hot tub?”

\tBella rushed across the front porch and grabbed the package and gasped but quickly moved it, just a couple of minutes after the front doorbell had been rung. She had barely managed to grab the package and hide with just ten seconds left before Vapor opened the front door to see who had rung the front doorbell. She hid around the corner until Vapor went back inside. She then had to sneak into the side of the back yard and get this oversized and heavy box back into her room without getting caught. She had been heavily watching the road for the past few days just waiting to see any delivery vehicle coming up to the house.

\tAfter hiding the package just inside of the fenced-in backyard she headed back to see if she could sneak it into the house.

\t“Too many people here. I’d get caught,” she said quietly after walking up onto the back porch.
\t“At least the box is hidden good,”

\tShe headed back inside and up to her bedroom and plopped down in her plushy chair. She sat there and thought about how she could get that heavy box into her bedroom and then hide everything and get rid of the box, all without getting caught. She shuddered at the thought of getting caught, scared how badly Fang and Vapor would probably beat her with a belt for the items inside.
