"writing": "Chapter 8\nSaturday July 1, 2028 \n\n\tLuna laid in the hospital bed, on the first day of July, holding her pup in her arms. Willow, Vapor and Fang sat or stood in the room looking and quietly talking. Todd stood next to the bed and stared at the pup. After the nurse left the room, Fang stood up and walked over to the two. He bent down and kissed Luna and patted Todd on his back.\n\t“It’s your cub,” Fang said while looking at the rabbit-wolf mix pup.\n\t“Yeah… he is,” Todd replied.\n\t“You sound … disappointed Todd,” Luna said looking up at him flattening her ears.\n\t“No. No no no. I’m happy he’s mine. Just trying to think of how a father should be like. I don’t, well didn’t have a good father, you know,” Todd replied.\n\t“It’ll come to you. Remember, I’m here if you need help Todd,” Fang stated then limped back to the chair.\n\t“I’m going to go outside for a bit,” Todd said and headed towards the door.\n\t“No smoking around here Todd. You’re underage,” Vapor stated.\n\t“Ugh,” Todd replied then walked over to a chair and sat down.\n\n\tAfter a few minutes Todd walked back up to the bed and smiled at Luna. She handed him their pup who was quietly sleeping. He stood there with the tiny pup in his arms. He moved his fingers over the pups tummy. It moved its four paws just a little bit and let out a tiny howl while sleeping. Todd laughed that turned into sobbing then full out crying. He sat down on his knees on the floor, holding the pup still. Tears flowed down his face. Vapor walked up to him and squatted down.\n\t“Todd, sweetie, are you okay? What’s wrong?” Vapor asked holding his right arm.\n\t“Yes. Just … I. I’m. I’m a father. I have a son. I shouldn’t be happy about this at my age but I am. I love him. I’ll protect him and Luna with my life,” Todd said and then gently hugged the pup.\n\t“Todd, you said earlier that you didn’t know how a father acts? Right there. What you just said makes you a father. A loving father. A loving mate,” Fang stated. After a couple of minutes Todd calmed down then sat down on the bed and held the pup to his chest. Luna rubbed his back as he quietly sobbed while his tears dripped from his eyes.\n\n\tFour hours later Fang, Vapor and Todd kissed Luna and left the room for the night. “Love you Luna. See you tomorrow,” Todd said and then closed the door.\n\n\t“That boy sure loves you a lot. Never let him go,” the nurse said as she hooked up a new IV bag. Luna looked up at the nurse and nodded.\n\t“I love that boy too,” Luna replied and smiled.\n\t“Any pain sweetie?” The nurse asked.\n\t“Just a bit at my, well, you know,” Luna replied.\n\t“Vagina?” The nurse asked. Luna blushed and nodded.\n\t“Yeah. Giving birth will do that. I’ll give you a small amount of morphine to help you. It’s fine now since you’ve given birth,” the nurse stated and then rubbed Luna’s head.\n\t“Thank you,” Luna replied. She felt the coolness of the small amount of morphine run into her veins and course through the rest of her body. She was asleep in less than ten minutes.\n\n***\n\nMonday July 3, 2028 \n\n\tLuna sat on the wide window sill staring out of the seventh floor window. She listened to the booms and pops of fireworks just a mile or so away. Illegal fireworks in Orion City. She saw a few police cars zoom by with their lights on. She couldn’t see any of the fireworks though, with it being just past midday. It was the day before Independence Day. The day of fireworks and blowing things up with them. Luna sighed and moved back to the bed after the nurse urged her to do so a third time. She took the IV stand in paw and walked over to the bed and laid back down.\n\t“I’m so bored and tired of just laying down in bed. Can I walk around outside or something? Please?” Luna asked the nurse ending in a deep sigh.\n\t“I know Luna. But for now, sit up and eat. You need to eat to keep your strength up and to remain healthy as well to breast feed,” the nurse stated.\n\t“I know,” Luna replied as the nurse pulled up the food tray.\n\t“Don’t lollygag while eating. The doctor wants to run more tests on you at two,” the nurse stated.\n\t“Getting the camera shoved back in my vagina again. How fun!” Luna huffed.\n\t“Oh come on now. I know it doesn’t hurt. Might be embarrassing but he has to do it to ensure that you’ll be good to go home later today or tomorrow,” the nurse stated.\n\t“Yeah I know,” Luna replied then took a bite of the mashed potatoes.\n\n***\n\n\t“Okay Luna, Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe, you’re good to go. But I warn you again Luna, do not have any sex at all for the next six months. It’s not worth risking your sexual organs health. If you get pregnant again within the next six months, your cervix will not recover. All of your sexual organs will most likely have to be removed. Understood?” The doctor lectured Luna sternly.\n\t“Yes sir,” Luna replied and looked over at Todd and sighed.\n\n\tNearly three hours later Luna and Skyler were finally back home. After getting home, Luna sat down on the couch with Skyler in her arms. Todd and Vapor both quickly rushed outside to the backyard to smoke. The two of them pulled out their food and ate while they smoked. Fang stepped out back and sat down next to Vapor and stared at Todd.\n\t“What?” Todd asked.\n\t“You both need to stop smoking,” Fang replied taking the cigarette from the young cub then tossed it into the fire pit.\n\t“It helps me kind of cope with the abuse that I suffered from my parents,” Todd replied.\n\t“You’re not the first that I’ve heard that from. How’s Izzy doing?” Fang asked.\n\t“She’s doing great. So is Jag and all cubs,” Vapor replied. “I’ll call them and we’ll have them over for dinner soon,” She added and watched Todd light up another cigarette.\n\t“Really Todd?” Fang said removing the cigarette from Todd’s mouth.\n\t“What? I smoke. Get used to it Fang. You’re not going to be able to stop someone from smoking that easily. And please don’t take another one from my mouth,” he scowled, surprising both Vapor and Fang after taking the cigarette back.\n\n\tInside Luna and Skyler was surrounded by everyone. She showed off the tiny wolf-rabbit mix pup while her McAnimals was getting cold. Pepper walked up and asked to hold Skyler, Luna looked up unsure. Pepper chuckled and took the pup carefully into her arms and sat down next to Luna.\n\t“Eat Luna. I’ve babysitted pups before, remember? I did you and Onai too, on occasions,” Pepper said.\n\t“Okay. Just don’t drop him please,” Luna said.\n\t“I know how to hold a pup. I held you as a pup,” Pepper replied.\n\t“Yeah,” Luna replied then took a bite of a hamburger, chewed then swallowed.\n\t“Ooh. This tastes fucking god damned amazing. Hospital food fucking sucks,” she said, just as her parents walked back in.\n\t“Language Luna,” Vapor said.\n\n***\nSaturday July 8, 2028\n\n\tAlmost two weeks after Fang came home he settled back down into civilian life as good as he could. Vapor and him were in their bedroom.\n\t“Vapor, stop. … FUCKING STOP!” Fang shouted then leaned up on his elbows. “As much as I’d love to have sex with you right now. I can’t. Not until my chest heals, I can barely breath right without the extra physical activities. It’ll be all that much better when we can do it. We’ll kick everyone out of the house for the day. And fuck on every possible surface, including the ceilings” Fang said and chuckled.\n\t“Fucking hell. I just need it. Its been years since I got any,” Vapor replied.\n\t“I know, me too. But just one or two more months won’t hurt you. I promise,” Fang replied kissing her.\n\t“I’m going outside. Be back later,” Vapor sighed and slipped off the bed.\n\n\tVapor sat down at the picnic table and lit up a cigarette. Todd walked out from behind the shed and placed his paw on her shoulder. Vapor shrieked and jumped up from the table due to the sudden touch.\n\n\t“Jeez Todd. You nearly gave me a heart attack,” Vapor said breathing heavily.\n\t“I’m sorry Vapor. I didn’t mean to scare you,” Todd stated looking at her wide eyed. Scared of her quick movements, like predator after prey. Vapor smiled and placed her paw on his arm and moved him to the table.\n\n\tTodd sat at the table and lit up another cigarette up. The two of them talked for a bit before heading back in.\n\n\tLater that evening Fang, Vapor, Todd and Luna holding Skyler were sitting watching TV. Skyler started crying interrupting the TV show. Fang and Vapor looked over at the two. After she fed him he continued to cry.\n\t“Why won’t you SHUT UP?” Luna scowled garnering the attention of her parents and causing Skyler to cry more.\n\t“Do not ever yell at your pup Luna,” Vapor scowled.\n\t“He won’t stop crying. He groaned as the pain hit him while he stood up straight.\n\n\tFang slowly hobbled out of the room and stood at the top of the stairs. “I knew that I should have put in an elevator,” He said with a pained chuckle. With an exhale he slowly made his way down the three flights of stairs, across the house and into the garage where the boxes were unloaded at. Onai was snooping around the boxes and didn’t see his dad enter the garage.\n\n\t“Onai what are you doing boy?” Fang said causing Onai to jump back a few feet.\n\t“Nothing dad. Just looking. These boxes are huge,” He replied.\n\t“Lot of stuff in them. Everything since basic training,” Fang replied.\n\n\tVapor walked in behind Fang and put her arms around him and rested her head on his shoulder. “It’s so nice to have you back home baby,” She said nuzzling his neck. “So what’s in the boxes?” She asked. Fang hobbled over to the boxes on the crutches and opened the first four by four by four foot box and looked inside. At the top was a thick piece of Styrofoam covering whatever was inside. He lifted the four inch thick cover off revealing a large LCD TV with a Blu-Ray player and discs. At the bottom was quite a bit of clothing and uniforms. The next box, of the same size, contained even more clothing and uniforms. The small boxes contained various items. He asked Onai to pull a box that was around three foot deep by four foot long and twenty inches tall into the middle of the floor. Onai grunted and strained as he pulled the heavy box. After opening the box he pulled out a dozen metal containers with locks on each of them. “Onai, up in my room on my desk is a ball-chain necklace with eight keys, go get that please,” Fang said. Onai rushed out of the garage and upstairs. “Baby, move these into the house please,” Fang asked then pointed to multiple containers and other unopened boxes.\n\n\tAfter a couple of minutes Onai rushed up to his dad with the necklace and handed it to him. Fang took the necklace and placed it around his neck. After a few trips Vapor and Onai moved the rest into the house. Fang sat down on the floor with the metal containers in a line in front of him. He unlocked them and opened them up, revealing thousands of rounds of ammo. A good amount of the family was gathered in the living room watching him. Their eye’s widened when he picked one round up and held it up.\n\t“I’m so glad this isn’t the rounds that hit me. This is a 50-caliber round. It goes through pretty much anything, including four inch thick steel plate,” He said then chuckled. He asked Vapor to help him back up and sat on the couch. He pulled the first of two long boxes on to his lap and cut through the near two dozen layers of tape.\n\t“What do you have in there for it to be secured like Fort Knox?” Willow asked.\n\t“You’ll see,” He said with a huge smile. He opened the box and pulled out a military assault rifle. After checking to ensure it wasn’t loaded, which he already knew it wasn’t, he held it up and looked down the iron-sights. He sat that gun to the side and cut open another box. Another assault rifle, he safety checked this one too and then looked down it like the other. He pulled out a scope and attached it quickly.\n\n\t“Ah much better,” He replied. “This gun saved me a few times,” He said sitting it down beside him.\n\t“More guns?” Vapor asked looking up at the couple on the wall.\n\t“Yes, but these are military. Full auto. Fun stuff,” He replied.\n\n\tHe pulled the third long box onto his lap and cut through the tape. After a minute he pulled out a long carbon fiber box and unlocked the four locks then opened it. He put it together quickly and held it up as good as he could. “It’s the sniper rifle that I used over in North Korea. It takes those huge rounds that I showed off a few minutes ago. This thing is amazing. I blew the head off of more enemies than I care to remember. No matter where they get hit at it’s just a large ball of blood, fur, skin and bone,” He stated.\n\t“FANG!” Vapor shouted at him in disgust.\n\t“Uh right. Sorry. Anyway. I just couldn’t give it back. I love this thing too much,” He replied.\n\t“So you stole it?” Willow asked.\n\t“It was issued to me so not really but yes,” Fang replied moving his eyes side to side.\n\t“I should whip your ass for that,” Willow replied.\n\t“It’s fine mom. I asked the Major what would happen if my weapons disappeared on my last mission. Said nothing would happen if he never saw them carried in with me,” He replied.\n\t“And the ammo?” Pepper asked.\n\t“Uh … We just won’t mention those,” He replied with a smile.\n\t“Where do you think you’re going to shoot those at Fang?” Vapor asked.\n\t“Umm, on our more than forty thousand acres,” Fang replied.\n\t“How far can that sniper fire?” Vapor asked.\n\t“Well, my last mission, I took out three … umm nevermind that. I took out my targets from a distance of 5.6 kilometers,” Fang replied.\n\t“Sounds like a long distance,” Willow said.\n\t“Almost three and half miles,” Fang replied.\n\t“So yeah. You best be careful if you shoot that around here,” Willow replied.\n\t“I’d shoot it into the woods. Lin sat his backpack on the bed and then walked up to the desk and ran his paw over the chair and then turned around and scanned the room.\n\t“What in door?” Lin asked.\n\t“Your bathroom,” Fang replied and then opened the door. Lin walked in and Fang followed.\n\t“What big thing is?” Lin asked pointing at the object.\n\t“That is a bath tub but also hot tub. Come here,” Fang explained. They walked over and Fang showed him how to turn it on and operate it. After a few minutes it filled with water.\n\t“Put your paw in. They agreed, with the school, to be his host family with them for a couple of years as an exchange student. He pulled up a bag and removed the laptop. Fang stood next to him and waited while he dug out the power cable. Are you okay with that?” Fang said and asked.\n\t“Shi,” Lin replied and smiled up at him.\n\n\tFang returned five minutes later with Onai carrying a computer. Onai made quick work of it all and got it setup for Lin. Lin sat down and looked at the monitor.\n\t“Engrish,” He said not so quietly as he thought.\n\t“Will this work for you for now?” Fang asked.\n\t“Maybe?” Lin replied tilting his head. “Can I move to Chinese but not Engrish?” He asked a moment later.\n\t“Lin, you know that one of your conditions for the student exchange is to use English for everything. Remember, you’re learning the English language. Onai can help you until then,” Fang stated.\n\t“Shi,” Lin replied.\n\t“Dad, I can’t tonight. I have ponies for a theme,” Laika stated.\n\t“Email though I need it?” Lin said looking back at her.\n\t“What email?” Laika asked.\n\t“Foogle Mail but Outrook,” Lin replied. Laika sat back confused at his reply. Fang stood there silently watching and listening to the two until Laika looked over.\n\t“Daddy! Hi!” Laika exclaimed and jumped up. She ran over and hugged him. “I don’t know what Lin means by Outrook,” Laika whispered. Fang smiled and patted her head. He walked over and sat down in the chair. Lin nodded and clicked on the Chrome icon. He put in his email and password and was soon greeted by his email. Fang pointed to the compose button after Lin asked where to type a message at. He started typing but everything was garbled. He growled and huffed. “I need type in Chinese for famiry. He quickly went into language settings and changed the computer to work display and type in Chinese. After a few language pack downloads, he moved over to one of his bags and pulled out a keyboard then plugged it in. Fang picked it up and looked at it. “Weird,” Fang said and sat it down. He looked at Lin who looked at him confused.\n\t“Just a lot of symbols that I don’t understand,” Fang replied. Lin smiled.\n\t“It okay. I can teach if want you,” Lin said.\n\t“I don’t know. Maybe. We’ll see,” Fang replied with a smile.\n\t“Okay. I’m going to go again. Lin, after that email, you put the computer back to English. I’m trusting that you’ll do it,” Fang stated.\n\t“Shi. Is that bad?” Laika said dropping the juice box and looked at her arms, legs and tail. Fang laughed out loud.\n\t“Sweetheart. Not that type of rubbing off. You said Engrish by mistake. We just have to help him out while he’s here. \tLuna laid in the hospital bed, on the first day of July, holding her pup in her arms. Willow, Vapor and Fang sat or stood in the room looking and quietly talking. Todd stood next to the bed and stared at the pup. After the nurse left the room, Fang stood up and walked over to the two. He bent down and kissed Luna and patted Todd on his back.
\t“It’s your cub,” Fang said while looking at the rabbit-wolf mix pup.
\t“Yeah… he is,” Todd replied.
\t“You sound … disappointed Todd,” Luna said looking up at him flattening her ears.
\t“No. No no no. I’m happy he’s mine. Just trying to think of how a father should be like. I don’t, well didn’t have a good father, you know,” Todd replied.
\t“It’ll come to you. Remember, I’m here if you need help Todd,” Fang stated then limped back to the chair.
\t“I’m going to go outside for a bit,” Todd said and headed towards the door.
\t“No smoking around here Todd. You’re underage,” Vapor stated.
\t“Ugh,” Todd replied then walked over to a chair and sat down.
\tAfter a few minutes Todd walked back up to the bed and smiled at Luna. She handed him their pup who was quietly sleeping. He stood there with the tiny pup in his arms. He moved his fingers over the pups tummy. It moved its four paws just a little bit and let out a tiny howl while sleeping. Todd laughed that turned into sobbing then full out crying. He sat down on his knees on the floor, holding the pup still. Tears flowed down his face. Vapor walked up to him and squatted down.
\t“Todd, sweetie, are you okay? What’s wrong?” Vapor asked holding his right arm.
\t“Yes. Just … I. I’m. I’m a father. I have a son. I shouldn’t be happy about this at my age but I am. I love him. I’ll protect him and Luna with my life,” Todd said and then gently hugged the pup.
\t“Todd, you said earlier that you didn’t know how a father acts? Right there. What you just said makes you a father. A loving father. A loving mate,” Fang stated. After a couple of minutes Todd calmed down then sat down on the bed and held the pup to his chest. Luna rubbed his back as he quietly sobbed while his tears dripped from his eyes.
\tFour hours later Fang, Vapor and Todd kissed Luna and left the room for the night. “Love you Luna. See you tomorrow,” Todd said and then closed the door.
\t“That boy sure loves you a lot. Never let him go,” the nurse said as she hooked up a new IV bag. Luna looked up at the nurse and nodded.
\t“I love that boy too,” Luna replied and smiled.
\t“Any pain sweetie?” The nurse asked.
\t“Just a bit at my, well, you know,” Luna replied.
\t“Vagina?” The nurse asked. Luna blushed and nodded.
\t“Yeah. Giving birth will do that. I’ll give you a small amount of morphine to help you. It’s fine now since you’ve given birth,” the nurse stated and then rubbed Luna’s head.
\t“Thank you,” Luna replied. She felt the coolness of the small amount of morphine run into her veins and course through the rest of her body. She was asleep in less than ten minutes.

Monday July 3, 2028
\tLuna sat on the wide window sill staring out of the seventh floor window. She listened to the booms and pops of fireworks just a mile or so away. Illegal fireworks in Orion City. She saw a few police cars zoom by with their lights on. She couldn’t see any of the fireworks though, with it being just past midday. It was the day before Independence Day. The day of fireworks and blowing things up with them. Luna sighed and moved back to the bed after the nurse urged her to do so a third time. She took the IV stand in paw and walked over to the bed and laid back down.
\t“I’m so bored and tired of just laying down in bed. Can I walk around outside or something? Please?” Luna asked the nurse ending in a deep sigh.
\t“I know Luna. But for now, sit up and eat. You need to eat to keep your strength up and to remain healthy as well to breast feed,” the nurse stated.
\t“I know,” Luna replied as the nurse pulled up the food tray.
\t“Don’t lollygag while eating. The doctor wants to run more tests on you at two,” the nurse stated.
\t“Getting the camera shoved back in my vagina again. How fun!” Luna huffed.
\t“Oh come on now. I know it doesn’t hurt. Might be embarrassing but he has to do it to ensure that you’ll be good to go home later today or tomorrow,” the nurse stated.

\t“Yes sir,” Luna replied and looked over at Todd and sighed.
\tNearly three hours later Luna and Skyler were finally back home. After getting home, Luna sat down on the couch with Skyler in her arms. Todd and Vapor both quickly rushed outside to the backyard to smoke. The two of them pulled out their food and ate while they smoked. Fang stepped out back and sat down next to Vapor and stared at Todd.
\t“What?” Todd asked.
\t“You both need to stop smoking,” Fang replied taking the cigarette from the young cub then tossed it into the fire pit.
\t“It helps me kind of cope with the abuse that I suffered from my parents,” Todd replied.
\t“You’re not the first that I’ve heard that from. How’s Izzy doing?” Fang asked.
\t“She’s doing great. So is Jag and all cubs,” Vapor replied. “I’ll call them and we’ll have them over for dinner soon,” She added and watched Todd light up another cigarette.
\t“Really Todd?” Fang said removing the cigarette from Todd’s mouth.
\t“What? I smoke. Get used to it Fang. You’re not going to be able to stop someone from smoking that easily. And please don’t take another one from my mouth,” he scowled, surprising both Vapor and Fang after taking the cigarette back.
\tInside Luna and Skyler was surrounded by everyone. She showed off the tiny wolf-rabbit mix pup while her McAnimals was getting cold. Pepper walked up and asked to hold Skyler, Luna looked up unsure. Pepper chuckled and took the pup carefully into her arms and sat down next to Luna.
\t“Eat Luna. I’ve babysitted pups before, remember? I did you and Onai too, on occasions,” Pepper said.
\t“Okay. Just don’t drop him please,” Luna said.
\t“I know how to hold a pup. I held you as a pup,” Pepper replied.
\t“Yeah,” Luna replied then took a bite of a hamburger, chewed then swallowed.
\t“Ooh. This tastes fucking god damned amazing. Hospital food fucking sucks,” she said, just as her parents walked back in.

\tAlmost two weeks after Fang came home he settled back down into civilian life as good as he could. Vapor and him were in their bedroom.
\t“Vapor, stop. … FUCKING STOP!” Fang shouted then leaned up on his elbows. “As much as I’d love to have sex with you right now. I can’t. Not until my chest heals, I can barely breath right without the extra physical activities. It’ll be all that much better when we can do it. We’ll kick everyone out of the house for the day. And fuck on every possible surface, including the ceilings” Fang said and chuckled.
\t“Fucking hell. I just need it. Its been years since I got any,” Vapor replied.
\t“I know, me too. But just one or two more months won’t hurt you. I promise,” Fang replied kissing her.
\t“I’m going outside. Be back later,” Vapor sighed and slipped off the bed.
\tVapor sat down at the picnic table and lit up a cigarette. Todd walked out from behind the shed and placed his paw on her shoulder. Vapor shrieked and jumped up from the table due to the sudden touch.
\t“Jeez Todd. You nearly gave me a heart attack,” Vapor said breathing heavily.
\t“I’m sorry Vapor. I didn’t mean to scare you,” Todd stated looking at her wide eyed. Scared of her quick movements, like predator after prey. Vapor smiled and placed her paw on his arm and moved him to the table.
\tTodd sat at the table and lit up another cigarette up. The two of them talked for a bit before heading back in.
\tLater that evening Fang, Vapor, Todd and Luna holding Skyler were sitting watching TV. Skyler started crying interrupting the TV show. Fang and Vapor looked over at the two. After she fed him he continued to cry.
\t“Why won’t you SHUT UP?” Luna scowled garnering the attention of her parents and causing Skyler to cry more.
\t“Do not ever yell at your pup Luna,” Vapor scowled.
\t“He won’t stop crying. I’ve fed him, he’s clean, nothing is wrong with him,” Luna replied.
\t“Get off your ass and walk around with him and softly bounce him in your arms. Doing that will soothe Skyler back to sleep,” Vapor stated.
\t“That hasn’t worked at all. I tried earlier and last night and it didn’t work. I put him in his bed and he eventually stopped and went to sleep,” Luna said. Vapor stood up and walked over and took Skyler and started walking around and softly bouncing him in her arms. Within one minute he was quiet and sleeping again. “See?” Vapor said quietly and carefully handing him back to Luna. Luna growled as Skyler started crying again. “Get off your ass and walk around Luna. Get used to it. I told you a pup would be crying on and off through out the day and night,” Vapor replied. Luna sighed and did as told heading out of the living room.
\tVapor looked over at Todd who remained in the chair. “Has she yelled at Skyler before this?” Vapor asked.
\t“No. He’s been mostly quiet until a few nights ago,” Todd replied.
\t“Okay. If she does it again, let us know please,” Vapor stated.
\t“I will,” Todd replied.

Thursday August 3, 2028
\tLaika pulled away from the kiss and looked up at her brother then placed her paw against his chest.
\t“I can’t Onai. I don’t want to do this anymore,” she said.
\t“What do you mean?” He asked.
\t“I’m sorry brother. I enjoyed our time and I love you, but just not like this. Not after mom talked to us about this. We shouldn’t have had sex just now, but I didn’t want to hurt you though,” she said.
\tThe two of them stood in her bathroom, both wet from the shower they just shared. His seed oozing out from her vagina. He closed his eyes and sighed. “Okay,” he said opening his eyes. He turned around and left the shower. He grabbed his clothes from the counter and silently walked out of the bathroom. Laika stood there dripping wet, her paws cupped against her chest. Her chest hurt. Hurt from seeing his broken expression. She knew he would be hurt after she broke off their relationship with him, but she didn’t want to keep sneaking around their mom’s back after they were asked not to have sex other than her first heat. She was fearful for what their mom would do to them if she found out that they were still having sex.

\tFang woke up to Vapor shaking him and calling out his name. He opened his eyes to blurriness. After a few seconds of rubbing his eyes he leaned up and looked at Vapor with a smile.
\t“Hey love. What’s up?” He asked groggily.
\t“You have three huge boxes downstairs and like six smaller ones,” Vapor said.
\t“Oh good. Took ‘em long enough. What is today?” Fang said moving to the side of the bed.
\t“Uh, Thursday Third of August. Why?” Vapor replied.
\t“Just wondering how long it took them to ship,” Fang replied.
\t“Need help?” Vapor asked.
\t“Nah. I got it. Thanks though,” Fang replied as he strained to stand up. He groaned as the pain hit him while he stood up straight.
\tFang slowly hobbled out of the room and stood at the top of the stairs. “I knew that I should have put in an elevator,” He said with a pained chuckle. With an exhale he slowly made his way down the three flights of stairs, across the house and into the garage where the boxes were unloaded at. Onai was snooping around the boxes and didn’t see his dad enter the garage.
\t“Onai what are you doing boy?” Fang said causing Onai to jump back a few feet.
\t“Nothing dad. Just looking. These boxes are huge,” He replied.
\t“Lot of stuff in them. Everything since basic training,” Fang replied.
\tVapor walked in behind Fang and put her arms around him and rested her head on his shoulder. “It’s so nice to have you back home baby,” She said nuzzling his neck. “So what’s in the boxes?” She asked. Fang hobbled over to the boxes on the crutches and opened the first four by four by four foot box and looked inside. At the top was a thick piece of Styrofoam covering whatever was inside. He lifted the four inch thick cover off revealing a large LCD TV with a Blu-Ray player and discs. At the bottom was quite a bit of clothing and uniforms. The next box, of the same size, contained even more clothing and uniforms. The small boxes contained various items. He asked Onai to pull a box that was around three foot deep by four foot long and twenty inches tall into the middle of the floor. Onai grunted and strained as he pulled the heavy box. After opening the box he pulled out a dozen metal containers with locks on each of them. “Onai, up in my room on my desk is a ball-chain necklace with eight keys, go get that please,” Fang said. Onai rushed out of the garage and upstairs. “Baby, move these into the house please,” Fang asked then pointed to multiple containers and other unopened boxes.
\tAfter a couple of minutes Onai rushed up to his dad with the necklace and handed it to him. Fang took the necklace and placed it around his neck. After a few trips Vapor and Onai moved the rest into the house. Fang sat down on the floor with the metal containers in a line in front of him. He unlocked them and opened them up, revealing thousands of rounds of ammo. A good amount of the family was gathered in the living room watching him. Their eye’s widened when he picked one round up and held it up.
\t“I’m so glad this isn’t the rounds that hit me. This is a 50-caliber round. It goes through pretty much anything, including four inch thick steel plate,” He said then chuckled. He asked Vapor to help him back up and sat on the couch. He pulled the first of two long boxes on to his lap and cut through the near two dozen layers of tape.
\t“What do you have in there for it to be secured like Fort Knox?” Willow asked.
\t“You’ll see,” He said with a huge smile. He opened the box and pulled out a military assault rifle. After checking to ensure it wasn’t loaded, which he already knew it wasn’t, he held it up and looked down the iron-sights. He sat that gun to the side and cut open another box. Another assault rifle, he safety checked this one too and then looked down it like the other. He pulled out a scope and attached it quickly.
\t“Ah much better,” He replied. “This gun saved me a few times,” He said sitting it down beside him.
\t“More guns?” Vapor asked looking up at the couple on the wall.
\t“Yes, but these are military. Full auto. Fun stuff,” He replied.
\tHe pulled the third long box onto his lap and cut through the tape. After a minute he pulled out a long carbon fiber box and unlocked the four locks then opened it. He put it together quickly and held it up as good as he could. “It’s the sniper rifle that I used over in North Korea. It takes those huge rounds that I showed off a few minutes ago. This thing is amazing. I blew the head off of more enemies than I care to remember. No matter where they get hit at it’s just a large ball of blood, fur, skin and bone,” He stated.
\t“FANG!” Vapor shouted at him in disgust.
\t“Uh right. Sorry. Anyway. I just couldn’t give it back. I love this thing too much,” He replied.
\t“So you stole it?” Willow asked.
\t“It was issued to me so not really but yes,” Fang replied moving his eyes side to side.
\t“I should whip your ass for that,” Willow replied.
\t“It’s fine mom. I asked the Major what would happen if my weapons disappeared on my last mission. Said nothing would happen if he never saw them carried in with me,” He replied.
\t“And the ammo?” Pepper asked.
\t“Uh … We just won’t mention those,” He replied with a smile.
\t“Where do you think you’re going to shoot those at Fang?” Vapor asked.
\t“Umm, on our more than forty thousand acres,” Fang replied.
\t“How far can that sniper fire?” Vapor asked.
\t“Well, my last mission, I took out three … umm nevermind that. I took out my targets from a distance of 5.6 kilometers,” Fang replied.
\t“Sounds like a long distance,” Willow said.
\t“Almost three and half miles,” Fang replied.
\t“So yeah. You best be careful if you shoot that around here,” Willow replied.
\t“I’d shoot it into the woods. Trees are so thick it would hit a tree before anything else,” Fang replied.
\t“Just make sure to ask the Walser’s where their hatchlings are first,” Willow replied.
\t“Who?” Fang asked confused.
\t“Oh. You don’t know. They’re on vacation right now. A family of snakes are renting my house. They have three hatchlings. I’ve seen them out around the woods,” Willow explained.
\t“Snakes? Really mom?” Fang asked.
\t“Hey, don’t be like that about them,” Willow scowled. “They’re a nice family. Non venomous if you care,” She added.
\t“Sorry I didn’t mean to sound like that. Once I heal up. I’ll have to go meet them,” Fang replied.
\t“As with the other weapons, none of you are to touch them. I find out you did, you’ll have your ass whipped until it’s brighter than the sun and grounded for two full years. I’ll make sure that you never touch another one of my weapons without permission. Understood everyone? That also includes you Todd and Bella,” Fang said.
\t“Yes,” they all replied.
\t“Fang. Sweetie. Aren’t full automatic weapons illegal to own?” Willow asked with a pang of worry emanating through her voice.
\t“Yes under most conditions. But don’t worry. I’m just waiting for the paperwork that I filed to own and operate them. Military is slow about those things. I’ll be able to own them without issue since I was military,” Fang replied.
\t“Wait. So you didn’t steal them?” Willow asked crossing her arms.
\t“Hell no. You think I want to be in prison for years for theft of government property. Not to mention a charge of theft of, easily, $250,000?” Fang replied. Willow walked up to him and softly bopped him on the back of his head.
\t“If you weren’t injured I’d bend you over my leg and spank you for lying Fang,” Willow replied then hugged his head. He felt tears hit his headfur. “It’s so nice to have you back home sweetie,” She said sobbing. Fang patted her paw with his.

Monday August 7, 2028
\t“Lin, your bedroom is here,” Fang stated opening the door and stepped to the side. He allowed the teenage Panda to walk in first. Lin sat his backpack on the bed and then walked up to the desk and ran his paw over the chair and then turned around and scanned the room.
\t“What in door?” Lin asked.
\t“Your bathroom,” Fang replied and then opened the door. Lin walked in and Fang followed.
\t“What big thing is?” Lin asked pointing at the object.
\t“That is a bath tub but also hot tub. Come here,” Fang explained. They walked over and Fang showed him how to turn it on and operate it. After a few minutes it filled with water.
\t“Put your paw in. It feels good,” Fang said as he moved his paw around in the warm bubbling water.
\t“Oh feels nice yes,” Lin replied.
\tFang explained a few things to the panda and then had Onai and Todd help him bring up the rest of his bags.
\tEarlier in the day Fang, Vapor and Willow picked up the teenage Chinese Panda boy from the airport. They agreed, with the school, to be his host family with them for a couple of years as an exchange student. His English wasn’t all that good but he could speak it, broken of course.
\t“Lin, if you need anything, just ask any of us okay? We’re more than happy to help you,” Fang stated to the panda now sitting on the edge of the bed.
\t“Th-ank yoo-u Frang,” Lin said slowly trying to punctuate each word carefully.
\t“Anytime Lin,” Fang replied. He started to leave the room when Lin spoke up.
\t“Frang!” Lin shouted a bit too energetically. Fang jerked and turned around.
\t“I have laptop. Need power,” Lin said. He pulled up a bag and removed the laptop. Fang stood next to him and waited while he dug out the power cable. Lin held up the power plug.
\t“What the hell is that connector?!” Fang exclaimed. “We don’t use these power connections here Lin,” Fang said and pointed at a wall outlet.
\t“Oh. How I power?” Lin asked.
\t“I don’t know. Give me time to figure it out. In the meantime I’ll let you borrow one of our spare computers. Are you okay with that?” Fang said and asked.
\t“Shi,” Lin replied and smiled up at him.
\tFang returned five minutes later with Onai carrying a computer. Onai made quick work of it all and got it setup for Lin. Lin sat down and looked at the monitor.
\t“Engrish,” He said not so quietly as he thought.
\t“Will this work for you for now?” Fang asked.
\t“Maybe?” Lin replied tilting his head. “Can I move to Chinese but not Engrish?” He asked a moment later.
\t“Lin, you know that one of your conditions for the student exchange is to use English for everything. Remember, you’re learning the English language. Onai can help you until then,” Fang stated.
\t“Shi,” Lin replied.
\t“Dad, I can’t tonight. Remember I’m going over to Ryan’s?” Onai stated.
\t“Oh yeah. Then get Laika to help him,” Fang stated. “Lin, if you need anything just ask anyone here. Okay? I’m going to go lay down, I’m hurting a bit,” Fang stated holding his paw against his chest.
\t“Thanks you Frang,” Lin replied.
\tA few hours later Fang walked into Lin’s bedroom, the door was open. Lin and Laika sat at the computer. Laika chuckled and pointed to an icon.
\t“We don’t use Internet Explorer here. We use Chrome. It’s faster, better, secure and it looks a lot better. I have ponies for a theme,” Laika stated.
\t“Email though I need it?” Lin said looking back at her.
\t“What email?” Laika asked.
\t“Foogle Mail but Outrook,” Lin replied. Laika sat back confused at his reply. Fang stood there silently watching and listening to the two until Laika looked over.
\t“Daddy! Hi!” Laika exclaimed and jumped up. She ran over and hugged him. “I don’t know what Lin means by Outrook,” Laika whispered. Fang smiled and patted her head. He walked over and sat down in the chair. Laika climbed up and sat on his left leg.
\t“Let see. Fmail. Click on Chrome and it’ll pull up a login page. Type in your username and then password. You can get all of your email through that. Send and receive. It’s much better and safer than Outlook,” Fang explained.
\t“But Chrome is irregal to use home,” Lin stated looking up at Fang.
\t“Lin. You’re in Furmerica now. You can use anything you want. But I suggest using Chrome. It’s really easy to use and as Laika said it’s faster too. You’ll like it, I promise,” Fang stated. Lin nodded and clicked on the Chrome icon. He put in his email and password and was soon greeted by his email. Fang pointed to the compose button after Lin asked where to type a message at. He started typing but everything was garbled. He growled and huffed. “I need type in Chinese for famiry. Luánshēng jiěmèi speak Engrish but not well read,” Lin stated.
\t“Only what speaks English?” Fang asked shaking his head.
\t“Uhh… Onai and Runa only rooks same,” Lin replied.
\t“Twins?” Fang asked.
\t“Shi. Yes that. Uh… sister? Umm. Twin sister knows Engrish too but not reading well,” Lin replied.
\t“Oh okay. So you have a twin sister that can read and speak English but not as good as you?” Fang asked.
\t“Shi!” Lin replied excitedly. “But Engrish to Chinese no easy. Lost things. Meaning of said thing,” Lin explained.
\t“Okay. So translating from English to Chinese is not easy because it loses meaning?” Fang asked.
\t“Shi!” Lin replied.
\t“Okay. You can use Chinese ONLY for typing emails back home. Do you understand?” Fang said.
\t“Shi. Yes. Rank you Frang,” Lin replied. He quickly went into language settings and changed the computer to work display and type in Chinese. After a few language pack downloads, he moved over to one of his bags and pulled out a keyboard then plugged it in. Fang picked it up and looked at it. “Weird,” Fang said and sat it down. He looked at Lin who looked at him confused.
\t“Just a lot of symbols that I don’t understand,” Fang replied. Lin smiled.
\t“It okay. I can teach if want you,” Lin said.
\t“I don’t know. Maybe. We’ll see,” Fang replied with a smile.
\t“Okay. I’m going to go again. Lin, after that email, you put the computer back to English. I’m trusting that you’ll do it,” Fang stated.
\t“Shi. I will,” Lin replied.
\t“Laika, make sure he does. I’ll punish you too if he doesn’t,” Fang replied smiling and ruffled her hair.
\t“Yes daddy,” Laika replied smiling up at him.
\tFang looked back at the two. Laika pointed at the screen and asked him what something was. Lin sat there and explained it to her.
“This say safe. This happy. Nice. Famiry. Everyone friendry,” Lin said as he pointed to various symbols. Laika nodded and said that she understood and listened as he continued his email and explaining things to her.

\tNearing ten at night Laika sat at the kitchen counter drinking juice. Her father walked in and smiled at her then ruffled her hair.
\t“What are you doing up so late sweetheart? You’re usually out by now,” Fang asked.
\t“Just drinking a juice before going to bed,” Laika replied.
\t“Did you finish helping Lin with the computer?” Fang asked.
\t“Yes daddy. He turned it back to Engrish after a few emails,” Laika said.
\t“He’s rubbing off on you sweetheart,” Fang replied with a laugh.
\t“What? Where? Is that bad?” Laika said dropping the juice box and looked at her arms, legs and tail. Fang laughed out loud.
\t“Sweetheart. Not that type of rubbing off. You said Engrish by mistake. You and him had a lot of fun I assume?” Fang asked.
\t“Lots of fun. It’s weird though trying to figure out what he is trying to say sometimes,” Laika said picking up the juice box again.
\t“Give him time. He’ll get to where he can speak English much better. We just have to help him out while he’s here. Okay?” Fang replied. “Yes,” Laika nodded in reply.
\t“Hey, sweetheart, be careful how much you drink before bed,”
\t“I know,” she replied then sucked on the straw causing air bubbles to pop and sound out.
\t“Good night daddy. I love you,” Laika said and then hugged him.
\t“Love you too sweetheart. Have sweet dreams,” Fang said then picked her up with his good arm. He kissed her muzzle and nuzzled her for a moment before sitting her back down. She walked up to the trashcan and dropped in the empty juice box and left the kitchen.",
